Abstract

The integration of technology into learning needs to be done following the times. Many learning resources are still not integrated with technology that it hinders the attainment of students' problem-solving skills. Therefore, this research aims to determine the effect of android-based contextual teaching materials on students' problem-solving skills. This research is quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research population was all students of class X of SMAN 3 Mataram. The research sample used class X MIA 3 as the control group and class X MIA 5 as the experimental group. The data collection instrument used a test with several problem-solving indicators. Problem indicators used include solving, planning, explaining solutions, and evaluating. Data analysis used t-test and N-gain to see the magnitude of the effect. The results of the t-test showed a data significance value of 0.004. This result is still below the α value (sig. < 0.05), meaning that there is a positive effect from the treatment given. The experimental group got a higher increase than the control group. The difference in the increase occurred for the sub-materials and all indicators of problem-solving skills. Therefore, the conclusion of the study is that android-based contextual teaching materials have a positive effect on students' physics problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian desktiptif kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk menilai konteks, input, proses dan produk pada kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini juga menganalisis hambatan, kekurangan dan kelebihan dari kurikulum 2013. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan dibeberapa SMA di Kota Mataram Nusa Tenggara Barat yang sedang melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan kurikulum 2013. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan yaitu peserta didik, guru, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum serta kepala sekolah. Metode pengumpulan informasi menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan analisis dokumen. Tahap penelitian meliputi tiga proses yaitu tahap prasurvei, tahap analisis hasil pengamatan, dan penulisan artikel. Hasil pengamatan yang telah didapatkan selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis menemukan bahwa penerapan kurikulum 2013 selain menghadirkan manfaat juga masih ada beberapa kendala atau kekurangan yang dirasakan dalam penerapannya sampai sejauh ini. Kendala yang muncul terdapat pada aspek kebijakan sekolah, sarana dan prasarana, proses pembelajaran, serta administrasi. Kesimpulan, keterlaksanaan K-2013 pada tingkat SMA di Kota Mataram berjalan dengan baik tetapi perlu ada beberapa penyesuaian dalam penyempurnaan. Penyesuaian yang dapat dilakukan lebih kepada fasilitas penunjang dan proses pelaksanaan K-2013. This qualitative descriptive research aims to determine the implementation of Curriculum 2013 (K-2013) by assessing its context, input, process, and products. Assessment of context based on analysis of the objectives, benefits, and goals of K-2013. The input assessment is obtained from observations of school readiness, conditions of infrastructure, etcetera. The Process assessment is obtained from analysis of implementation in the field. The product assessment is obtained from the analysis of the output produced by K-2013. This study also analysed the obstacles, weaknesses and strengths of the Curriculum 2013. The research subjects were students, educators, vice principals in charged for the curriculum, and school principals. Methods of collecting information using observation, interviews, and document analysis. The research stage includes three processes, namely, the pre-survey, analysing the results of the observations, and writing the articles. The results of the observations are then analysed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the analysis found that besides providing benefits, the implementation of K-2013 had also someobstacles or shortcomings in its implementation. The obstacles are in the aspects of school policy, facilities and infrastructure, the learning process, and administration. In conclusion, the implementation of K-2013 at the SMA level in the City of Mataram has been going well. However, it needs some adjustments to be made in its refinement, such as adjustments to the facilities support and the implementation process of K-2013.

Abstract

This study aims to develop effective and efficient contextual physics teaching materials for students and teachers in the Covid-19 pandemic. The teaching materials are based on virtual lab-based Android so that they can be used in any conditions, including when applying physical distancing protocols at school or study from home (SFH). The teaching materials in the form of this application makes it easy for students to access the content on their mobile phones even when they cannot connect to the internet. Also, this application is very easy for teachers to be used. The research method used is based on the 4D model, that is define, design, develop and disseminate. The teaching materials that have been developed passed the first stage test with a Very Good result. The validity test is assessed by expert validators. The subject material used in this study is limited to Reflection and Refraction of Light. The response of students using the teaching materials is Good. According to the students, the teaching materials are easy to use, motivate learning, and deem effective in its implementation

Abstract

A common problem that occurs in students is the lack of ability to understand concepts. This is because the physics learning process does not vary. So that innovative learning design efforts are needed. One of the efforts that can be done is by using the CUPs learning model assisted by LKPD. This study aims to determine the effect of learning model Conceptual Understanding Procedures LKPD assisted towards the student’s concept mastery in physics of high school. This research is a quasi experimental research using untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. The population is all students of class XI IPA SMAN 4 Mataram. While the sampling using purposive sampling technique consisting of students’ class XI IPA 4 as experimental class and students of class XI IPA 1 as a control class. The concept mastery data is obtained through a written test in the form of a description item. The result of hypothesis test analysis shows that there is influence of learning model of LKPD-assisted Conceptual Understanding Procedures toward the student’s concept mastery in physics of high school.

Abstract

Some of the competencies needed by participants in this 21st century era such as critical thinking, scientific culture, and making the right decisions to solve students' problems in everyday life. The competence of students in Indonesia is still low and needs to be improved. Therefore, alternative solutions that can be used are interactive e-books as contextual teaching materials. This literature review and content analysis aims to provide an interactive e-book description of local wisdom on how to motivate and help students to facilitate students in learning science so that they are able to achieve the expected competencies. Data collected by observing text books and articles of previous research. Search articles with the help of Google software, research gate, and so on. The results obtained that the e-book integrated with local wisdom of karawitan has a positive impact. An interactive e-book of local musical wisdom that is interesting and according to its content provides students with a meaningful learning experience because students can learn on their own. So it can be said that interactive e-books can be integrated with local wisdom of karawitan as contextual teaching materials for junior high school science.

Abstract

Learning science has observations to make. This can be done using the help of technology, one of which is Go-Lab. The use of this technology in addition to helping educators to convey the material to be conveyed, technology can also be used for everything that is separated by distance. This article aims to provide information about using the Go-Lab platform for online science learning. The study conducted is a literature study of several articles related to the use of Go-Lab. Go-Lab is a platform that contains applications, virtual laboratories, and Inquiry Learning Spaces (ILS) that can be developed and used freely by teachers. Science learning using Go-Lab is provided through ILS which is designed to combine materials, applications, and virtual laboratories to support inquiry learning. The use of Go-Lab in science learning is said to be effective because of the facilities for inquiry activities, especially during the distance learning period. Further research on the use of the Go-Lab platform in science learning needs to be carried out considering the role of information technology for teaching and learning activities is a challenge during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
