Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of the speech skills of kindergarten students in terms of telling stories or responding to teacher questions. In this case, the child's ability is lacking due to the teacher's lack of stimulus, the image media used by the teacher is less attractive and not varied, or the child's environment is less supportive. The research was carried out at the Sulawesi Kindergarten which is located at jalan tupai no.98 kelurahan labuang baji, mamajang district Makassar. It was carried out in group B with 14 children divided into eight boys and six girls. The problem-solving in group B is carried out using the media of a series of images made by the teacher. The objective is to (a) describe the use of illustrated media and (b) describe the increase in children's speaking activities, especially storytelling through image media. (c) present the results of improving children's speaking skills, especially in terms of storytelling, after learning with series image media, Data collection using learning and observation results. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. And obtained an average score, in cycle I, the ability to speak and respond to children was 28.87%, cycle II became 57.14%, and in the third cycle, it became 64.26%. From the results of these percentages, series image media can improve children's participation skills with the support of varied and exciting methods and involve children in each activity.

Abstract

This paper aims to present an analysis of the characteristics of poor households in the downtown area of Makassar which was collected through observation, in-depth interviews with informants in 98 households as samples. The results of this study indicate that in terms of demographic characteristics, generally poor households in Makassar City have male heads of age aged ≤ 50 years, have a household membership of > 4 people and are indigenous. In terms of economic characteristics, generally poor households have income of ≤ IDR. 600,000 per month so that it does not have assets that are easily sold, has the ability to provide food ingredients ≤ 2 times a day, buy meat and milk ˂ 1 time a week, is unable to pay medical expenses if there is a family member who is sick, and is only able to buy new clothes ≤ 1 time in a year even then just before the religious holiday. In addition, the poor people also use the type of gas fuel for daily cooking due to the subsidized gas from the government through the kerosene to gas compression program. Judging from social characteristics, generally poor households have a low level of education, i.e. no school (TS), do not finish elementary school (TTSD), graduate from elementary school (SD) and finish junior high school (SMP). In terms of health, the poor generally have MCK facilities but they only consume drinking water from PDAMs such as in the downtown area even though they have to buy. Judging from the characteristics of housing, generally poor households have semi-permanent or emergency housing, this can be seen from the number of houses that have a floor area of ≤ 8 square meters per person with the type of flooring made of low quality soil or wood, and having a type of wall made from non-wall materials such as low quality wood, zinc, plywood and others as well as lighting sources using electricity.

Abstract

The problem in writing this thesis was a class I autistic student at the Rajawali Catholic SLB Makassar who experienced difficulties in verbal communication. The aims of this research were to determine: (1) The verbal communication abilities of class I autistic students at Rajawali Catholic SLB Makassar before using the H5P website, (2) The verbal communication abilities of class I autistic students at Rajawali Catholic SLB Makassar after using the H5P website, (3) Improving verbal communication skills in class I autistic students at the Rajawali Catholic SLB Makassar using the H5P website. This research uses a quantitative approach and descriptive research type. The data collection technique in this research is an oral test. The data obtained was processed descriptively quantitatively to determine the increase in verbal communication before and after using the H5P website in class I autistic students at Rajawali Catholic SLB Makassar using pretest and posttest scores. The results of the research showed that the verbal communication skills of class I autistic students at the Rajawali Catholic SLB Makassar before using the H5P website were in the poor category, then after using the H5P website there was an increase to the sufficient category. Conclusion The results of this research are that there is an increase in verbal communication skills through the use of the H5P website in class I autistic students at the Rajwali Catholic SLB Makassar.

Abstract

Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini yaitu “Bagaimanakah peningkatan kemampuan anak cerebral palsy kelas X SLB YPAC Makassar dibidang otomotif Light Service Motorcycle Engines setelah diberikan model pembelajaran langsung?” penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif, yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar otomotif light service motorcycle engines menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan tes perbuatan. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa cerebral palsy kelas X di SLB YPAC Makassar. Teknik analisis data yaitu teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan otomotif light service motorcycle engines pada murid cerebral palsy di SLB YPAC Makassar sebelum diberikan treatmen berada dalam kategori kurang mampu. Setelah diberikan treatment berada pada kategori mampu. Artinya terdapat kemampuan otomotif light service motorcycle engines pada murid cerebral palsy di SLB YPAC Makassar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan metode pembelajaran langsung terbukti efektif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan otomotif light service motorcycle engines pada murid cerebral palsy di SLB YPAC Makassar.

Abstract

This study examines the process of basic chord training in class VII autistic children at SLB Negeri 1 Makassar. The purpose of this study is to find out: 1) Overview of guitar playing facilities at school and at home. 2) An overview of the basic chord training process in class VII autistic children at SLB Negeri 1 Makassar. 3) Obstacles faced in the basic chord training process in class VII autistic children at SLB Negeri 1 Makassar. This research approach is qualitative with a type of description research. Data collection techniques through interviews, observations and videos. Data analysis techniques through reduction, display, and data verification. The results showed that the basic chord training process for autistic children in class VII at SLBN 1 Makassar: 1) The facilities and infrastructure for playing guitar in schools are complete, but there is no special training for guitar playing for MK. 2) There are no guitar playing facilities and infrastructure at home. 3) Basic chord training is trained by researchers, by playing the guitar and singing the song "Love Everything". In the training process, there is an increase in the child's ability to know basic chords such as C, F, and G.
