Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penggunaan tepung krokot (Portulaca oleracea L) dalam ransum basal terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan protein dan energi ternak babi landrace fase grower-finisher. Materi yang digunakan adalah 12 ekor ternak babi peranakan landrace, berumur 4–5 bulan dengan bobot badan awal 65–77kg dengan rataan 72,42kg (KV=25,47%).Penelitian ini menggunakan metode percobaan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 4 perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan terdiri dari: R0: 100% ransum basal tanpa tepung krokot (kontrol), R1: 95% ransum basal + 5% tepungkrokot, R2: 92,5% ransum basal + 7,5% tepungkrokot, R3: 90% ransum basal + 10% tepung krokot. Variabel yang diteliti adalah konsumsi dan kecernaan protein dan energi. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung krokot dalam ransum basal berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) dalam meningkatkan konsumsi dan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi energi dan kecernaan protein dan kecernaan energy pada ternak babi fase grower-finisher. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggunaan tepung krokot 5% 7,5% dan 10% dalam ransum basal meningkatkan konsumsi protein namum memberikan hasil yang relatif sama terhadap konsumsi energi, kecernaan protein dan kecernaan energi ternak babi fase grower-finisher. Kata kunci: Babi, krokot, protein, energi. konsumsi, kecernaan The study aimed at evaluating the effect of including Purslane (Portulaca oleracea L) leves meal into basal diet on intake and digestibility of protein and energy in grower-finisher landrace pig. There were 12 grower-landrace pigs 4-5 months of age with 65-77 (average 72.42) kg and CV 23.4% initial body weight used in the study. Trial method using block design 4 treatments with 3 replicates procedures used in the study. The 4 diet formulas offered in the feeding trial.: R0: 100% basal diat without purlane leaves meal (control); R1: 95% basal diet + 5% Purslane leaves meal; R2: 92.5% basal diet + 75% purslane leaves meal; and R3: 90% basal diet + 10% Purslane leves meal. Variable studied were: intake and digestibility of protein and energy. Statistical analysis result shows that effect of including Puslane leaves meal into basal diet is not significnt (P>0.05) on either intake or digestibility of either protein or energy in the pig. The conlusiaon is that including Purslane leaves meal into basal diet performs the similar results in both intake and digesibility of both Protein and energy in grower-finisher landrace pig. Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the effect of using fermented coconut waste (Cocos nucifera L) in the diet on the consumption and digestibility of dry matter and organic matter in grower-finisher pigs. Twelve castration landrace pigs aged 4-5 months with an initial weight of 50-83kg with an average of 66.25kg (KV = 15.75%) were used in this experiment. The experimental was was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four treatments and three replications. The treatments were R0: ration without fermented coconut waste (FCW), R1: ration using 5% FCW, R2: ration using 10% FCW, R3: ration using 15% FCW. The results showed that treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the ration consumption, dry matter consumption, organic matter consumption, dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility. It can be concluded that coconut waste as much as 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% in the ration gave the same effect on ration consumption, dry matter consumption, organic matter consumption, dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility. Fermented coconut waste can be used up to 15% in grower-finisher pig rations.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to test the influence of corn flour substitution with fermented banana rodsagainst consumption and digestion of protein, consumption and digestion of energy in pig cattle durocphase grower. The material used is 12 pigtails duroc phase grower that has a starting weight of 45-55kg with an average of 51.25 kg (KV=7,02%). This research uses a complete random design (RAL)with 4 treatments and 3 repeats. The treatment used is P0: the bed without the mixture of fermentedbanana stem, P1: the ration contains 5% fermented banana rod, P2: the ration contains 10% offermented banana stems and P3: the ration contains 15% of fermented banana stems. The measuredvariable is the consumption and digestion of protein and energy. Analysis results show the influence ofcorn flour substitution with fermented banana stems of 5, 10 and 15 intangible effects (P>0,05) againstprotein ingestion, energy consumption and energy ingestion, and real effect (P<0,05) against proteinconsumption. It is concluded that the substitution of corn flour with fermented banana stems up to 15%level increases protein consumption but up to 15% level increases protein consumption and lowersrational consumption, protein ingestion, energy consumption and energy in pigs doruc phase grower. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menguji pengaruh substitusi tepung jagung dengan batang pisangterfermentasi terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan protein, konsumsi dan kecernaan energi pada ternakbabi duroc fase grower. Materi yang digunakan adalah 12 ekor ternak babi duroc fase grower yangmemiliki berat badan awal 45-55 kg dengan rataan 51,25 kg (KV=7,02%). Penelitian ini menggunakanrancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalahP0: ransum tanpa campuran batang pisang terfermentasi, P1: ransum mengandung 5% batang pisangterfermentasi, P2: ransum mengandung 10% batang pisang terfermentasi dan P3: ransum mengandung15% batang pisang terfermentasi. Variabel yang diukur adalah konsumsi dan kecernaan protein danenergi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan pengaruh substitusi tepung jagung dengan batang pisangterfermentasi sebanyak 5, 10 dan 15 berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kecernaan protein,konsumsi energy dan kecernaan energi, dan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap konsumsi protein.Disimpulkan bahwa substitusi tepung jagung dengan batang pisang terfermentasi hingga level 15%meningkatkan konsumsi protein namun hingga level 15% meningkatkan konsumsi protein danmenurunkan konsumsi ransum, kecernaan protein, konsumsi energy dan kecernaan energy pada ternakbabi doruc fase grower.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of tamarind leaf powder supplementation on (Tamarindus indical L.)supplementation in the basal ration on the increase in linear body size and prediction of body weight of pigs.Twelve landrace castration male pigs aged 3-4 months with initial body weight of 35.5-64 kg (CV=23.65%)were used as research animals. The design used was a randomized block design with 4 treatments and 3replications. The treatments tested were T0: basal ration (control), T1: basal ration (BR) + 2.5% tamarind meal(TM), T2: BR + 5% TM, T3: BR + 7.5% TM. The variables measured were body length, schest circumference,height, predicted body weight. The results of the analysis showed that the treatment had no significant effect(P>0.05) on body length, chest circumference, height, prediction of body weight. It can be concluded that thesupplementation of tamarind leaf powder in the basal ration up to 7.5% has not had an effect on body length,chest circumference, height and prediction of body weight. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh suplementasi tepung daun asam (Tamarindus indical L.) dalamransum basal terhadap pertambahan ukuran linear tubuh dan prediksi bobot badan ternak babi. Ternak babijantan kastrasi peranakan landrace sebanyak 12 ekor berumur 3-4 bulan dengan berat badan awal 35,5-64 kg(KV=23,65%) digunakan sebagai ternak penelitian. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acakkelompok dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diuji adalah R0: ransum basal (kontrol), R1:ransum basal (RB) + 2,5% tepung daun asam (TDA), R2: RB + 5% TDA, R3: RB + 7,5% TDA. Variabel yangdiukur adalah panjang badan, lingkar dada, tinggi badan, prediksi bobot badan. Hasil analisis menunjukkanbahwa perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap panjang badan, lingkar dada, tinggi badan, prediksibobot badan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi tepung daun asam dalam ransum basal hingga 7,5% belummemberikan pengaruh terhadap panjang badan, lingkar dada, tinggi badan dan prediksi bobot badan.
