Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving Centella asiatica on incised wound healing through the treatment of Centella asiatica on white rats (Rattus norvegicus). This study uses Experimental method in the form of a post-test only group design to determine the effect of Centella asiatica ethanol extract on the healing time of incised wound in white rats (Rattus norvogicus). The sample used in this study was 20 white rats divided into five treatment groups. Data analysis used quantitative analysis with helped of SPSS 29 software. The data test consisted of normality, homogeneity, and one way ANOVA test. The result showed 10% Povidone iodine, vaseline, 10% ointment of Centella asiatica ethanol extract, 15% ointment of Centella asiatica ethanol extract, and 25% ointment of Centella asiatica ethanol extract had the same effect on incised wound healing in white rats (Rattus norvogicus). Intervention with 10% Povidone iodine had average healing time of 12,75 days; intervention with 10% ointment of Centella asiatica ethanol extract had average healing time of 10 days; intervention with 15% ointment of Centella asiatica ethanol extract had average healing time of 8,75 days; and intervention with 25% ethanol extract Centella asiatica had average healing time of 12,75 days. The normaly test shows that the entire group has a significant value of p>0,05, so it says that the data is normally distributed. The homogeneity test shows an overall significance of p>0,05, so the data is nuanced and homogeneous. The ANOVA test showed a significance of p = 0,152, so the value of p >0,05, meant that there was so significant difference between groups. This study proved that the application of Centella asiatica ethanol extract ointment can be used as an alternative in the treatment of incised wound, such as post-section caesarean wound care.

Abstract

Background: Sexually Transmitted Disease (STDs) are a health problem that is still quite critical and receives attention until now. This disease often affected by teenagers aged 15-24 years, especially female teenagers. One of the factors causing the emergence of sexually transmitted disease in female teenagers is the vulnerability of external genitalia organs to infection. If this is followed by poor personal hygiene behavior and is not treated immediately, it can cause infertility. Purpose: To find out the relationship between the level of knowledge about sexually transmitted disease and personal hygiene behavior of external reproductive organs in female teenagers at SMA Brawijaya Smart School Malang. Methodes: The research design used analytical observational by cross sectional approach. A total of 84 female students were sampled according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data was obtained through instruments research in the form of questionnaires filled in by respondents. Then, data is presented in the form of frequency distribution table and processed using chi-square test method. Result: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge about sexually transmitted disease and personal hygiene behavior of external genitalia organs in female teenagers. Conclusion: Based on results of research, there was a relationship between the level of knowledge about sexually transmitted disease and personal hygiene behavior of external genitalia organs in female teenagers at SMA Brawijaya Smart School Malang. Female Teenagers are advised to maintain reproductive health with increase the knowledge from trusted sources so that understanding does not become wrong.

Abstract

Pregnant women who experience more severe emesis gravidarum (nausea and vomiting) are known as hyperemesis gravidarum, this can affect the health of the mother and baby if not treated. To analyze and compile the latest scientific evidence to evaluate the benefits and techniques of acupressure as a method of managing emesis gravidarum, so that it does not develop into hyperemesis gravidarum. This research method is a systematic review with a systematic review based on PRISMA. Literature search based on research articles published in the last 10 years. Literature was obtained from a database of medium to high quality criteria using relevant keywords, namely "acupressure", "hyperemesis gravidarum", "nausea", "vomiting", "clinical study", "experimental study", then selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the study, appropriate research articles were continued in the PICOT table. Results: Ten studies that passed the inclusion criteria compared 5 different therapies where the most therapy used P6 acupressure and overall were considered to have a low risk of bias. The findings showed that acupressure can reduce the intensity of nausea and vomiting, reduce serum IL-6 levels, lower PUQE scores, better urine ketone results, reduce the frequency of antiemetic administration, and reduce the length of treatment. TherapyAcupressure has the potential to reduce symptoms of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, especially to prevent the severity towards the diagnosis of Hyperemesis Gravidarum. However, further research with a validated scoring system, diagnostic criteria, clear outcome measures, and conducting larger studies is needed to confirm its effectiveness.
