Abstract

This paper intends to review efforts to create a conducive and effective school environment more intensively so that learning objectives become more quality can be achieved. The purpose of making this paper is to be able to give insight to those who take part in the world of education to increasingly understand the following: the problem of the concept of the school environment and the concept of an effective school environment. It is known that to create an effective school environment there needs to be collaboration and compatibility between the conditions of the learning environment, both the physical and social environment, with the learning participants in this case students and teachers. Both learning environments need to be maximized in order to create an effective school environment. At the level of praxis, furthermore, it is hoped that education personnel can apply an understanding of the concept of the school environment and the concept of an effective school environment in organizing educational and schooling activities.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bermaksud mengulas masalah minat belajar murid sekolah dasar dan solusinya. Hal ini dengan tujuan memberi wawasan kepada para pihak yang berkiprah di dunia pendidikan untuk semakin memahami: hakikat belajar dan keberhasilannya; aspek-aspek yang mempengaruhi peningkatan minat belajar siswa; strategi menumbuhkan minat belajar siswa. Diketahui bahwa dalam belajar yang terpenting adalah proses, bukan hasil yang diperoleh. Artinya, belajar harus diperoleh dengan usaha sendiri, adapun orang lain itu hanya sebagai perantara atau penunjang agar belajar itu dapat berhasil baik. Di sinilah pentingnya minat belajar dari sang pembelajar. Sementara aspek-aspek yang dapat meningkatkan minat belajar pada siswa adalah: peranan guru, sumber belajar, keluarga dan sekolah. Beberapa strategi untuk menumbuhkan minat belajar siswa yakni: menjelaskan tujuan belajar ke peserta didik, pemberian hadiah dan pujian, membangkitkan dorongan belajar kepada peserta didik, membantu kesulitan belajar peserta didik, dan menggunakan media yang baik serta sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Disarankan agar insan pendidikan dapat menerapkan pengetahuan tentang minat belajar murid sekolah dasar dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Elementary school teachers need to master the 21st century skills needed in teaching, namelycritical thinking, creative, collaboration and communication skills. For this effort the author needsto provide knowledge on how teachers can recognize and apply 21st century skills to be used intheir teaching in the classroom. One of them is by providing training on computer thinking skills(computational thinking) to elementary school teachers in the Kapau area, Tilatang KamangDistrict, Agam Regency by making programming using the Scrath application to be used to createlearning media. The training carried out received a fairly good response from the teachers whoattended and they stated that the application used was very suitable for teaching and used byelementary school children and very interested in being able to later apply it to their students inclassroom learning.
