Abstract

Pengelolaan pertambangan bijih mangan nasional yang belum maksimal mengakibatkan Indonesia masih mengimpor bijih mangan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pasokan smelter mangan sebagai supplier industri besi baja dalam negeri. Untuk mengetahui jumlah konsumsi baja nasional hingga tahun 2019, diperlukan model untuk memproyeksikan konsumsi baja ditahun tersebut. Hasil dari model tersebut akan menjadi acuan untuk menghitung kebutuhan bijih mangan sebagai salah satu bahan campuran yang digunakan untuk pembuatan baja. Peramalan konsumsi baja nasional dilakukan dengan menggunakan model time series, kemudian untuk menghitung dampak ekonomi terhadap pengelolaan sektor pertambangan mangan digunakan Tabel Input Output Nasional Tahun 2010. Total kebutuhan bijih mangan berdasarkan konsumsi baja nasional tahun 2014-2019 adalah sebesar 4.696.898,41 ton. Penciptaan dampak output pada sektor pertambangan mangan yakni sebesar Rp. 13,173 triliun.

Abstract

Masyarakat dusun IV Lanipa-nipa, desa Sulaho, kecamatan Lasusua, Kabupaten Kolaka Utara berpendapat bahwa kegiatan penambangan yang berlangsung disekitar desa tersebut tidak memberikan dampak positif terhadap pendapatan masyarakat desa. Olehnya itu dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat untuk memberikan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat terkait dengan pembentukan desa binaan dan program kerja agar masyarakat dapat memperoleh sumber pendapatan dari aktivitas kegiatan penambangan yang berlangsung di desa Sulaho. Berdasarkan hasil diskusi yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam pembentukan desa binaan pada dusun IV Lanipa-nipa, akan melaksanakan program kerja yang akan memberikan sumber pendapatan lebih bagi masyarakat antara lain adalah pembentukan karang taruna dan bumdes, pembuatan pupuk organik, penyediaan bibit tanaman lokal, penataan lahan reklamasi dan pasca tambang dan pembentukan sentra industri kreatif.

Abstract

Mining activities that take place around Pomalaa District, Kolaka Regency, cause water pollution and sedimentation processes on the coast of Sopura village. Seeing these conditions, the mining engineering study program at Sembilanbelas November University aims to carry out mangrove planting activities on the coast in Sopura village which is affected by nickel mining activities. Based on the results of the activities carried out, it can be concluded that the mangrove planting activities carried out by the mining engineering study program are going well. This is proven by the success of the mining engineering study program in planting 200 mangrove trees on the coast in Sopura Village, Pomalaa District, Kolaka Regency.

Abstract

Water is a natural resource that is crucial for the survival of all living beings, including humans. The quality of water is an important factor that can have a significant impact on human health. To ensure the well-being of the community, water quality testing was conducted at 2 drilled wells that are being used by residents of Anaiwoi Village. Based on the water quality testing results, it was found that the pH value at point 1 was between 4,6-4,8, while at point 2, it was between 4.6 - 5.9. Unfortunately, the pH values at both points were below the Environmental Health Quality Standards. On the other hand, the Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) parameters at both points were found to be within the Environmental Health Quality Standards. This is because the TDS values obtained were less than 300 mg/L or less than 300 ppm.

Abstract

The current advancements in the automotive industry highlight the critical need for electric vehicles, which require a reliable supply of nickel for battery production. A potential nickel source is Ferronickel's local content, which can be used as a secondary resource. However, research on converting smelted Ferronickel into electrolytic nickel is still limited. This study aims to examine the effects of electrolyte molarity and applied voltage during the electrolysis process for refining Ferronickel. The molarities of HCl employed in this research are 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, and 1 M for 2 hours. Additionally, the molarities of HCl are set at 2, 3, and 4 M for 6 hours. Further experiments were performed using varying voltages of 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 V while keeping the solution concentration constant at 1 M and maintaining an electrolysis duration of 2 hours. The electrolysis solution was subsequently analyzed using the AAS (atomic absorption spectrophotometry) test. The results indicated that higher molarity levels were associated with increased current, resulting in faster reaction rates and greater solubilization of nickel metal. The Ni concentration rose with higher molarity, increasing from 76.50 mg/L in .25 M HCl to 91.88 mg/L in 1 M HCl. In contrast, the Fe concentration remained nearly constant across various molarity levels, ranging from 11.81 mg/L in .25 M HCl to 11.95 mg/L in 1 M HCl, suggesting a minimal influence of molarity below 1 M. Fe exhibited a strong positive correlation with increasing electrolyte molarity, showing a significant rise in concentration from 49.06 g/L at 2 M to 90.17 g/L at 4 M. Ni showed a more modest response to elevated molarity, with concentrations increasing from 11.95 g/L at 2 M to 22.70 g/L at 4 M. The Ni concentration increased with the applied voltage up to 6 V, reaching 95.57 mg/L, but then decreased to 77.67 mg/L at 8 V, indicating that the optimum voltage is 6 V. The Fe concentration displayed slight fluctuations but remained relatively stable across different voltage levels, measuring 11.81 mg/L at 1 V and 12.28 mg/L at 8 V, indicating that the applied voltage does not significantly influence Fe concentration in the solution.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan bijih nikel kadar rendah dengan fokus pada penentuan COG yang optimal di Pit 13B PT. Citra Silika Mallawa, Kabupaten Kolaka Utara, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Penelitian ini, dilakukan pengumpulan dan analisis data geologi, termasuk data Assay, Survey, collar, dan litologi. Data ini menjadi dasar untuk menghitung tonase bijih nikel menggunakan model blok 3D yang dibuat dengan software Surpac dan metode IDW. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tonase bijih nikel laterit di Pit 13B sebesar 56.940 ton, dengan volume mencapai 47.450 m3, dan rata-rata kadar nikel sebesar 1.83%. Selanjutnya, peneliti menganalisis skema COG yang berbeda, yaitu 1.80% dan 1.70%, untuk menentukan COG yang optimal. Darai hasil skema di dapatkan nilai tonase untuk COG 1.80% memiliki tonase sebesar 72.570 ton dengan volume sebesar 60.475 m3, sedangkan untuk COG 1.70% sebesar 142.530 ton dengan volume sebesar 118.775 m3, Dalam analisis ekonomi, COG 1.70% menjadi pilihan yang paling menguntungkan berdasarkan data yang ada. COG ini menghasilkan keuntungan sebesar 9.735.683 USD dengan biaya produksi sekitar 1.140.240 USD. Kesimpulan ini menegaskan bahwa COG 1.70% adalah pilihan optimal dalam konteks Pit 13B PT. CSM, dengan potensi untuk memberikan hasil yang optimal secara ekonomi. Kata kunci: Nikel, Cut Off Grade, Optimalisasi, Inverse Distance Weighted
