Abstract

Di Daerah Kabupaten Kolaka, banyak terdapat sumber agregat halus atau pasir yang dapat digunakan dalam pembangunan konstruksi, salah satunya di Daerah Desa Muara Lapao-pao, Kecamatan Wolo, Kabupaten Kolaka. Pada umumnya, mayoritas masyarakat sekitar setiap melakukan suatu perencanaan pembangunan selalu mengambil agregat halus atau pasir disungai Ulu Lapao-pao, karena pasir tersebut bisa dijadikan salah satu bahan campuran untuk beton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengetahui karakteristik fisik agregat halus Pasir Sungai Ulu Lapao-pao yang digunakan pada campuran beton, dan mengetahui hasil pengujian kuat tekan beton dengan perawatan curing dan tidak curing menggunakan Pasir Sungai Ulu Lapao-pao. Dengan bentuk sampel benda uji silinder sebanyak 18 sampel. Metodologi penilitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental. Dimana, penelitian eksperimen adalah penelitian yang dilakukan dengan mengadakan manipulasi serta adanya kontrol yang disengaja terhadap objek penelitian tersebut. Penilitian dilaksanakan pada bulan januari sampai dengan bulan Mei tahun 2020. Dari hasil kuat tekan beton normal dengan mutu rencana F’c 25 MPa didapatkan kuat tekan beton dengan menggunakan perawatan curing lebih tinggi di bandingkan dengan tanpa perawatan (tidak di curing). Kuat tekan beton yang menggunakan perawatan curing dengan umur perawatan 3, 7 dan 28 hari ialah dengan mutu rencana 25 MPa yaitu 15,0 MPa, 20,4 MPa dan 25,1 MPa. Di bandingkan tanpa perawatan dengan umur perawatan 3, 7, dan 28 hari dengan mutu rencana 25 MPa yaitu 14,1, MPa, 19,7 MPa, dan 20,3 MPa. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian tersebut maka Pasir Sungai Ulu Lapao-pao dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif agregat halus pada campuran beton, Karena hasil kuat tekan yang dicapai memenuhi kuat tekan yang peneliti rencanakan mutu F’c 25 MPa yakni mencapai 25,1 MPa pada umur 28 hari.

Abstract

The community assistance program in utilizing oil palm coir in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi for supporting materials from the GRC mixture is a new breakthrough in the use of palm coir waste. This activity is expected to overcome the problem of oil palm coir waste and make it a new economic source for the surrounding community. The purpose of this program is to increase public knowledge in utilizing palm oil coir waste so that it can be of economic value and to increase public understanding in the process of making GRC by utilizing palm coir waste. The method used is assistance in the utilization of palm coir fiber as an added material in the manufacture of GRC plates. The results of the monitoring and evaluation activities resulted in the response that the surrounding community could process palm oil coir waste into a commodity that has economic value and additional knowledge to utilize palm oil coir waste in the manufacture of Glassfiber Reinforced Cement (GRC) as part of innovation in the construction sector.

Abstract

Concrete is a mixture of Portland cement or other hydraulic cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water or without additives to form a solid mass. The researcher aims to find out how much influence the compressive strength of coco fiber concrete has with sea water as a solvent. The method used in this study was an experimental method, cylindrical concrete was printed with a size of 15x30 cm by adding coconut fiber to the concrete mixture with fc' quality of 22.5 MPa and as a comparison the researchers made samples of coconut fiber concrete with fresh water as a solvent. The results of this study with the addition of 1% fiber by weight of cement at the age of 3 days the compressive test reached 10.02 MPa for fresh water concrete and 6.51 MPa for sea water coir concrete. At the age of 7 days, fresh water concrete was 15.76 MPa, while coconut coir concrete was 7.42 MPa. For 28 days the fresh water concrete is 23.78 MPa, while the sea water coconut coir concrete is 14.72 MPa. The conclusion obtained in this research is that the use of sea water as a solvent in coconut coir concrete has decreased in strength by 23.53% compared to coconut coir concrete with fresh water as a solvent for 28 days of age.

Abstract

Until now, the utilization of coconut coir waste in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, has not been optimal, especially in the world of construction. This study aims to examine the effect of using coconut coir fiber as a natural reinforcement material in concrete. The research method is using experimental methods carried out in the laboratory. The test sample used with dimensions of 150 mm x 300 mm. There were 2 (two) types of samples used, namely normal concrete samples and concrete samples with coconut fiber reinforcement with a total sample of 30 pieces with a concrete design age of 7 days, 14 days and 28 days. After drying, 15 samples were coated with coconut fiber waste using adhesive glue, the remaining 15 samples were not given reinforcement. The results of this study obtained the compressive strength test data for normal concrete aged 7 days of 13.46 MPa and concrete with reinforcement of 11.26 MPa. At the age of 14 days the compressive strength of normal concrete is 17.55 MPa and reinforced concrete is 20.51 MPa. And, for normal concrete age of 28 days it is 22.59 MPa and concrete with reinforcement is 25.80 MPa. The conclusion of this study is that there is an increase in compressive strength for concrete with reinforcement against normal concrete from a design compressive strength of 22.5 MPa, which is 14.67%. Abstract

The research on the use of sea sand as a fine aggregate in the manufacture of concrete is motivated by the beach sand of Muara Lapao Pao. to meet material needs in the estuary area of ​​Lapao Pao and its surroundings. This study aims to determine how much compressive strength the concrete produces when using sand from Muara Lapo Pao beach. The compressive strength of concrete is planned f'c 18 MPa. Cylindrical concrete samples totaled 18 pieces. The results of this study indicate that the compressive strength of concrete produced using Muara Lapao Pao beach sand without treatment is higher than Muara Lapao Pao beach sand with washing treatment. The compressive strength of concrete using Muara Lapao-pao beach sand without treatment with a curing age of 7, 14 and 28 days with a design quality of 18 MPa, namely 13.04 Mpa, 16.56 Mpa and 21.23 Mpa. Compared to the Lapao-pao Muara sand with washing treatment with a treatment age of 7, 14, and 28 days with a design quality of 18 MPa, namely 15.29 MPa, 16.65 MPa, and 16.84 MPa. With a percentage increase in concrete compressive strength of 24.38% of the design compressive strength for unwashed beach sand conditions.

Abstract

Dalam sebuah pembangunan konstruksi, peranan dari seorang perencana sipil sangat penting keberadaannya didalam dunia konstruksi dikenal dengan nama konsultan. Konsultan sendiri terdiri dari dua bagian yakni konsultan perencana dan konsultan pengawas. Ada juga yang menambahkan menjadi tiga yakni konsultan manajemen konstruksi. Tujuan dari sosialisasi ini ialah memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat Desa Tambea tentang pentingnya sebuah perencanaan dalam pembangunan dibidang konstruksi. Agar bangunan yang dikerjakan sesuai dengan standar yang ada. Untuk mencapai hal tersebut maka metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini yakni metode seminar/sosialiasi yang mana pemateri memberikan ceramah singkat sesuai tema yang ada yang selanjutnya peserta dapat melakukan interaksi dalam bentuk tanya jawab. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini yakni adanya keinginan kedua belah pihak yakni pihak Prodi Teknik Sipil Univ. Sembilanbelas November Kolaka dan Pihak Desa Tambea untuk sama-sama melakukan pendampingan dalam bidang keteknikan sipil pada proses perencanaan pembangunan Desa Tambea kedepannya. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari kegiatan sosialisasi ini yakni teredukasinya masyarakat Desa Tambea Kecamatan Pomalaa Kabupaten Kolaka Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara sehingga mereka memiliki kesadaran dan pemahaman betapa pentingnya sebuah perencanaan dalam proses pembangunan baik skala besar maupun skala kecil di Desa Tambea.

Abstract

Water is a natural resource that is crucial for the survival of all living beings, including humans. The quality of water is an important factor that can have a significant impact on human health. To ensure the well-being of the community, water quality testing was conducted at 2 drilled wells that are being used by residents of Anaiwoi Village. Based on the water quality testing results, it was found that the pH value at point 1 was between 4,6-4,8, while at point 2, it was between 4.6 - 5.9. Unfortunately, the pH values at both points were below the Environmental Health Quality Standards. On the other hand, the Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) parameters at both points were found to be within the Environmental Health Quality Standards. This is because the TDS values obtained were less than 300 mg/L or less than 300 ppm.

Abstract

Medical waste is produced in hospitals by a variety of means, including solid waste, gas, and liquid. Therefore, it is necessary to support the analysis of the production of solid medical waste at RS SMS Berjaya District of Kolaka. The purpose of this technical support is to find out the monthly quantity of solid medical waste as well as the solid medical waste disposal system carried out at SMS Berjaya Hospital. Use both qualitative and quantitative descriptions. The accompanying results showed that the solid medical waste produced from medical activities in each room during the observation was a source of non-acute infectious garbage. Class II and III hospital facilities produce the highest percentage of medical garbage 23.13 kg/day (46.26%), and the smallest unit of medical waste in each room is 2.59 kg/ day (5.18%). And in the Infectious Object Garbage, the largest in Class II & III facilities is 1.32 kg/day (29,53%). And Nifas/Perinatology facilities are much smaller than 0.4kg/day (8.95%). SMS Berjaya Hospital has a solid, well-implemented medical waste management system.

Abstract

Fires that occur in a building often cause damage to its structural elements. This study aims to determine the compressive strength of coconut fiber concrete after burning with concrete quality design fc' 20 MPa. This research was conducted by simulating the condition of burning concrete through a cylindrical medium measuring 5 cm x 5 cm with a total of 39 samples. The test was carried out at the age of 28 days by placing the sample into the drum and then burning it with a temperature variation of 200°C and 300°C. The sample burning durations were 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes. Samples that reach the specified temperature are then cooled by pouring and without pouring. Compressive strength test results for a temperature of 200oC with watering treatment, duration of 30 minutes 14.33 Mpa, duration of 60 minutes 10 MPa, and duration of 90 minutes 8.42 MPa. For the treatment without watering with a duration of 30 minutes 15.65 Mpa, 60 minutes 13.15 MPa, and 90 minutes 11.23 Mpa. Compressive strength at 300oC for watering treatment, 30 minutes 11.08 MPa, 60 minutes 8.71 MPa, and 90 minutes 5.31 MPa. Whereas for conditions without watering with the same temperature, the duration was 30 minutes 13.44 MPa, 60 minutes 12.26 MPa, and 90 minutes 8.71 MPa. As a comparison, the compressive strength of coco fiber concrete without burning is 20.39 Mpa. From the data above, it can be concluded that the longer the combustion process takes place, the strength of the coco fiber concrete will decrease by an average of more than 20%. According to PBI 1971 Chapter 4.8 Paragraph 1 states the concrete strength requirement is equivalent to 80% of the required compressive strength value.

Abstract

The quality characteristics of the concrete produced are greatly influenced by the quality of the fine aggregate used as a structural component, because fine aggregate has a large influence on the volume of concrete. So, the use of beach sand as a construction material must meet the specified requirements. The aim of this research is to determine the characteristics of beach sand in 3 (three) sub-districts in Kolaka district, whether it can be used in making concrete or not. The research method used was a detailed experiment carried out at the Concrete Laboratory of Sembilanbelas November University Kolaka with samples of Tanggetada Beach Sand, Watubangga Beach Sand and Toari Beach Sand. The results of testing the characteristics of the three beach sands used were obtained by testing data that met the requirements specified in SNI 03-1971-1990, except for the sieve analysis examination at No. 50 for all sand locations and No. 100 for Tanggetada and Toari Beach sand locations. Meanwhile, the specific gravity and water absorption, bulk weight, water content and passing sieve No. 200 have met the specifications. From the results obtained, the use of Watubangga Beach Sand can be used as sand material for normal concrete construction.
