Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan etnosentrisme dan nilai edubudaya dalam ritual Kit Oba Isago pada masyarakat Wamena. Tradisi menjadi identitas budaya suatu daerah di Indonesia, sebagian diantaranya terdapat pada masyarakat Papua. Salah satu tradisi tersebut ialah ritual Kit Oba Isago. Kit Oba Isago merupakan tradisi bakar batu yang berupa ritual memasak bersama-sama warga sebagai simbol kebersamaan dan kesakralan hidup sosial. Tradisi dan budaya suatu daerah tentunya mempunyai keterkaitan dalam hal nilai-nilai kemanusiaan, keunikan, sikap atau cara pandang yang unik dan berbeda beda pada setiap masyarakatnya. Itulah keunikan identitas masing-masing daerah. Pandangan yang berbeda-beda itulah diperlukan adanya edukasi budaya agar tidak menimbulkan terjadinya konflik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menginvestigasi penggunaan edusemiotik dalam permainan tradisional Indonesia, khususnya Cublak-Cublak Suweng, untuk memahami bagaimana berbagai bentuk tanda (indeks, simbol, dan ikon) digunakan untuk menyampaikan nilai-nilai budaya dan kearifan lokal kepada pemain. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menganalisis teks-teks lirik Cublak-Cublak Suweng secara mendalam, serta mempertimbangkan konteks budaya dan historis permainan tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi literatur dan observasi langsung terhadap praktik dan interpretasi masyarakat terhadap permainan ini. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa indeks, simbol, dan ikon dalam Cublak-Cublak Suweng tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai media pendidikan yang melintasi generasi. Indeks seperti lirik "Sopo Ngguyu Ndhelikake" menyoroti nilai-nilai kebijaksanaan dalam menghadapi kehidupan sehari hari. Simbol, seperti dalam lirik "Mambu Ketudhung Gudel", mencerminkan stereotip sosial tentang kebodohan. Sementara itu, ikon dalam lirik "Cublek-Cublek Suweng" menggambarkan konsep harta sejati melalui representasi fisik yang konkret. aplikasi dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam memperkuat pemahaman tentang pentingnya warisan budaya dalam pendidikan dan pengembangan identitas sosial dalam masyarakat Indonesia.

Abstract

This article discusses Siddharta's journey in finding a teacher through long twists and turns, joys and sorrows, praise and trials one after another does not discourage him because of his great love and love for the Divine. Siddharta who is intelligent and has a perfect physical form and attitude, gets affection from his parents and is about to be dissatisfied and satisfied. His heart still has an empty space for Divine love. The figures and the environment in Siddharta as teachers, whatever comes from them, they can always learn. The protagonists move with flexible, balanced sentences, not only in everyday discourse and textual discourse. The figures with beautiful movements, so a lot of spiritual development. The characters who get control of the environment they are in. No coincidence is coincidence, making this novel appear as a profound reflection.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the meaning of signs and values ​​contained in the story of the origin of the Penti ceremony in the Wae Mbeleng community, Benteng Kuwu Village, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The Penti ceremony is one of the important traditional rituals that contains various symbols and cultural values ​​as a form of gratitude to God and ancestors for the harvest and a request for protection in the coming year. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic approach, which dissects signs through the concept of signifier and signified. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the signs in the Penti ceremony, such as symbols of sacrificial animals, mantras, sacred places, and traditional foods, represent the spiritual relationship of the community with God, ancestors, and nature. In addition, values ​​such as ethics, spirituality, kinship, mutual cooperation, as well as educational and social values ​​are reflected in the practice of the ceremony. Thus, the Penti ceremony is not only a form of cultural expression, but also a means of inheriting the noble values ​​of the Manggarai community. This research is expected to contribute to the preservation of local culture and become a reference in the study of cultural anthropology and value education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa saja nilai pendidikan karakter pada novel Sangkakala di Langit Andalusia karya Hanum Salsabiela Rais dan Rangga Almahendra. Merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini mempergunakan teknik baca dan catat. Hasil penelitian ini ialah nilai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Sangkakala Di Langit Andalusia karya Hanum Salsabiela Rais dan Rangga Almahendra, yaitu: 1) nilai pendidikan karakter religius sebanyak sembilan data, 2) nilai pendidikan karakter toleransi sebanyak tiga data, 3) nilai pendidikan karakter kerja keras sebanyak lima data, 4) nilai pendidikan karakter gemar membaca sebanyak dua data, dan 5) nilai pendidikan karakter peduli sosial sebanyak lima data. Nilai pendidikan karakter yang lebih sering ditemui pada penelitian ini adalah nilai pendidikan karakter religius.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how unmarried pregnant women are portrayed in Triman Laksana’s novel Menjaring Mata Angin. The research applies Stuart Hall’s (1997) theory of representation and Tong’s (2004) liberal feminist theory. In Indonesian society, unmarried pregnant women are often perceived as violating social and religious norms, which leads to their being subjected to stigma and discrimination. This study seeks to fill a gap in previous research, which generally focuses on patriarchy in broad terms without highlighting more specific forms of representation. The method employed in this research is descriptive qualitative with a critical discourse analysis approach. The data consist of selected excerpts from the novel Menjaring Mata Angin, which were collected through close reading and subsequently verified using theoretical triangulation. The analysis centers on various forms of female representation, particularly in three aspects: physical-symbolic, socio-cultural, and ideological. The findings reveal that in the physical-symbolic aspect, the female body is depicted as a moral symbol constantly subjected to surveillance. In the socio-cultural aspect, women are portrayed as guardians of family honor. Meanwhile, in the ideological aspect, masculine control is evident in the restrictions placed on women’s bodily autonomy. However, the main character in the novel exhibits acts of resistance against this system, reflecting the spirit of liberal feminism, which emphasizes women’s freedom and autonomy. Based on these findings, it is concluded that Menjaring Mata Angin functions as a counter-discourse that not only reflects the social conditions faced by women but also critiques patriarchal ideology and gender injustice within Indonesian culture.

Abstract

The problems discussed in this study are (1) How is the role of Elis character in the novel Elis Tandigo by Erlina Mamus? (2) How is the internal conflict in the novel Elis Tandigo by Erlina Mamus? (3) How is the external conflict in the novel Elis Tandigo by Erlina Mamus?. The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the role of Elis character in Elis Tandigo novel by Erlina Mamus (2) internal conflict in Elis Tandigo novel by Erlina Mamus (3) External conflict in Elis Tandigo novel by Erlina Mamus. In conducting this research, the method used is descriptive qualitative method. The main data source in this research comes from the novel Elis Tandigo by Erlina Mamus. Data collection in this research uses literature study technique by reading and understanding the novel. The data analysis technique uses a flowing analysis technique which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the research conducted, it is concluded that this novel tells the story of Elis who plays a very important role because she is often the person in solving problems or solving problems in society.
