Abstract

Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peranan penting dalam perekonomian negara, baik dari sisi penciptaan lapangan kerja maupun dari sisi jumlah usaha. UMKM Cendawan House memiliki kendala dalam aktivitas usahanya berupa belum dimilikinya pembukuan yang baik, struktur, dan pembagian tugas sehingga berdampak pada tingkat produktivitas dan pemasaran produk yang dihasilkan. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut maka dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian dengan mitra pengabdian yakni UMKM Cendawan House yang berada di Kelurahan Tebing Tinggi Okura, Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir, Kota Pekanbaru, Provinsi Riau. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan yakni pemberdayaan melalui sosialisasi manajemen usaha untuk mengatasi masalah manajemen UMKM Cendawan House. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah mitra memiliki pembukuan yang baik, struktur, dan pembagian tugas serta wewenang yang jelas yang kemudian juga berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan produksi dan pemesaran produk yang dihasilkan. Dari kegiatan ini disimpulkan bahwa permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra dapat diselesaikan setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan ini.

Abstract

Acute diarrhea is liquid stool with a frequency of more than 3 times a day and lasts less than 14 days. One of the most common causes of acute diarrhea is Escherichia coli. Diarrhea caused by bacteria can be treated with the use of antibiotics, but the relatively high intensity of antibiotic use causes various health problems, especially bacterial resistance. Therefore, the search for antibacterial agents derived from natural ingredients was carried out as an alternative treatment. Bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum) is one of the natural ingredients that has the potential as an antibacterial because it contains active compounds such as essential oils, flavonoids (quercetin), saponins, tannins, and alkaloids. This study aimed to analyze the antibacterial activity of the ethanolic extract of bay leaves on the growth of Escherichia coli. This research uses the dilution method which aims to determine the Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and Minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC). The results showed that the MIC value at a concentration of 200mg/ml and the MBC value at a concentration of 500mg/ml.

Abstract

Abstract.Hypercholesterolemia is an increase in blood cholesterol levels, which is more than 200 mg / dl. In Indonesia, 9.3% of the incidence of hypercholesterolemia is in productive age, namely the age range of 25-40 years. One of the drugs for hypercholesterolemic sufferers is a statin which is believed to reduce LDL levels and inhibit the formation of cholesterol by indirectly affecting cholesterol levels in the blood. Soybeans are known to reduce cholesterol levels because they contain isoflavones that bind to the endoplasmic reticulum, then increase the Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptors in the liver. So that LDL levels in plasma are measured to be low. Objective: To analyze the effect of giving soy milk on cholesterol levels in hypercholesterolemic men. Method: Experimental using the design "One-Group Pretest-Postest Design". The sample consisted of 10 men with hypercholesterolemia given 250 ml / day for 2 weeks. Results: The results showed a significant value of p <0.05. The average total cholesterol level in the provision of soy milk decreased by 6.2 mg / dl. Conclusion: The provision of soy milk has an effect on total cholesterol levels in hypercholesterolemic men. Kata Kunci antibakteri; Hiperkolesterolemia, kolesterol, susu kedelai

Abstract

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by pruritus, erythema, and impaired skin barrier function. Conventional treatments such as topical corticosteroids and calcineurin inhibitors effectively reduce inflammation but pose potential adverse effects that limit their long-term use. Consequently, natural-based alternatives like curcumin have gained increasing interest. Curcumin, a principal polyphenol in turmeric (Curcuma longa), is known for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immunomodulatory properties. Its mechanisms in AD involve the inhibition of the NF-κB signaling pathway, downregulation of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-4, IL-13, TNF-α), and enhancement of filaggrin and ceramide production, which are crucial for restoring skin barrier function. This study is a systematic review aimed at evaluating the efficacy of curcumin in alleviating AD-related inflammation based on recent clinical and experimental studies. The meta-analysis revealed that nano-curcumin formulations were more effective than conventional curcumin in reducing atopic skin lesions and transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Additionally, combining curcumin with emollients or essential oils exhibited synergistic effects in improving skin hydration and reducing inflammation. In conclusion, curcumin demonstrates significant potential as an adjuvant therapy for AD; however, further research is required to determine its long-term efficacy and safety profile in clinical applications.

Abstract

The main problem of this research is how to analyze the juridical pawn agreement at PT Pegadaian (Persero) Maros Branch. The subject matter is further broken down into several subproblems, namely how to implement the lien agreement at PT Pegadaian (Persero) Maros Branch and how the process of resolving the default of the lien agreement at PT Pegadaian (Persero) Maros Branch. This research is a type of qualitative field research. This research will be conducted by interviews with branch leaders, employees of PT Pegadaian (Persero) Maros Branch and customers of PT Pegadaian. This research uses a sociological legal approach, namely direct field research. Data collection is obtained from observation, interviews and questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it was answered that the implementation of the pawn agreement at PT Pegadaian (Persero) Maros Branch has not been effective because there are still many customers who do not heed the implementation of the pawn agreement so that only 57% is carried out and the implementation of the lien agreement is not carried out 43% of the total percentage of 100%. Meanwhile, the process of resolving the default of the pawn agreement at PT Pegadaian (Persero) Maros Branch is 1) for customers who do not pay credit installments or maturity, PT Pegadaian will reprimand customers by calling, SMS, writing to customers and the last resort taken is by parate execution or auction, 2) regarding the provision of compensation for lost customer collateral by indemnifying them in full or in whole while damaged collateral can be done by paying compensation of 125% of the estimated value of goods listed in SBK or can be more in accordance with the agreement and policy of PT Pegadaian it self.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is chronic and metabolic disease which occurs because of the increase of blood glucose level or hyperglycemia caused the body which cannot produce or use insulin effectively. Hyperglycemia has a glucotoxic effect resulting in an increase in ROS (reactive oxygen species) thus inducing liver pathogenesis which promotes severe inflammatory and apoptotic responses, as indicated by an increase in the SGPT enzyme. The pineapple peel contains flavonoid. It is known of having a strong antioxidant activity. With the giving of pineapple peel extract, it is expected to decrease the blood glucose level. This research to find out the the effect of pineapple peel extract (Ananas comusus L. Merr) on decreasing blood glucose levels and SGPT levels in male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) induced by streptozotocin. This research is an experimental study with a research design of pretest and posttest control group design. The samples consisted of 18 rats divided into 6 groups consisted of: normal control, negative control, and positive control group given metformin, and pineapple peel extract with dose 200mg/KgBW, 300mg/KgBW and 500mg/KgBW for 28 days and the measurement of the rats blood glucose was conducted by blood glucose test meter at day 1, day 4 (after post inductionof STZ 45mg/KgBW given by intraperitoneal), and day 29. The analysis result of One Way ANOVA showed that pineapple peel extract with dose 200mg/KgBW, 300mg/KgBW, and 500mg/KgBW decrease the blood glucose level significant (p-value<0,05) with negative control group. There was no significant difference between 200mg/KgBW, 300mg/KgBW and 500mg/KgBW compared with positive control (p>0.05). There was an effect of pineapple peel extract administration on the SGPT levels of STZ-induced rats with a dose of 200mg/kg BW, 300mg/kg BW, 500mg/kg BW (p-value <0.05). The administration of 300mg/kg BW pineapple peel extract had the highest decrease in SGPT levels compared to other groups. Pineapple peel extract (Ananas comosus L. Merr) can reduce blood glucose leveland SGPT levels in rats induced by streptozotocin with the greatest reduction at dose 300mg/KgBW.
