Abstract

Pembinaan terhadap ibu-ibu PKK di Kelurahan Kalampangan Kecamatan Sabangau Kota Palangka Raya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam upaya melakukan swamedikasi dengan tanaman obat adalah dengan menyelenggarakan tiga jenis pelatihan yang berkaitan dengan swamedikasi menggunakan tanaman obat dan melakukan pemantauan terhadap kegiatan yang dilakukan. Manfaat yang diperoleh dari hasil kegiatan adalah meningkatnya keterampilan dan pengetahuan ibu-ibu PKK dalam mengenal jenis tanaman obat, penguasaan teknis pembuatan dua jenis ramuan jamu, yaitu jamu beras kencur, kunyit asam, dan penguasaan terhadap teknis pembuatan kompos organik dengan bahan dari limbah rumah tangga. Selanjutnya dilakukan pula monitoring dan evaluasi terhadap pelatihan yang telah dilakukan dengan kunjungan dan wawancara. Hasil monitoring dan evaluasi yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi peningkatan konsumsi beras kencur dan kunyit asem dalam keluarga dan dalam kegiatan-kegiatan di lingkungan warga. Transfer ilmu tentang manfaat jenis-jenis tanaman obat keluarga yang ada di lingkungan sekitar dan pembuatan jamu juga telah terjadi dari ibu-ibu peserta pelatihan kepada warga yang tidak mengikuti pelatihan secara informal. Tanaman obat yang dibagikan kepada peserta pelatihan saat kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan juga masih terpelihara dengan baik di pekarangan rumah. Secara keseluruhan kegiatan pemberdayaan pada kelompok ibu-ibu PKK Kelurahan Kalampangan, Kecamatan Sabangau Kota PaLangka Raya Kalimantan Tengah telah berjalan dengan baik.

Abstract

Batik is one of Indonesia's cultural arts, which has been integrated with Indonesian people since several centuries ago. However, so far, the batik produced still uses synthetic motifs and coloring, which can contribute to environmental pollution. Hence, people's interest in batik starts to diminish, so it is necessary to find breakthroughs in batik motifs and coloring, which are more environmentally friendly by using natural dyes. One of the natural dyes for batik is to use plant leaves that grow around the house, also called eco print, which is the activity of making leaves with specific patterns on a t-shirt, which produces motifs and colors obtained from the leaves. The target partners involved in community service activities are women's business groups in Palangka Raya, which are under the auspices of the Palangka Raya City Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprises Agency, namely UKM Bawi Dayak Palangka Raya. This is because the batik produced so far still uses synthetic motifs and coloring. Assistance carried out for this group is to provide insight into knowledge and understanding of the importance of natural coloring and the danger of synthetic dyes. Build and encourage creativity informing design motifs and colors on fabric through the use of leaves that grow around the house. Outcome targets are t-shirt products that use leaves as motifs and natural dyes—introducing natural batik with the use of natural resources around.

Abstract

Budidaya ikan di karamba telah lama dilakukan oleh penduduk di sekitar Kelurahan Pahandut Seberang. Kendala utama pembudidaya ikan adalah serangan penyakit yang menyerang ikan budidaya. Selama ini untuk mengobati penyakit ikan, para pembudidaya menggunakan bahan kimia yang bisa mengakibatkan pencemaran lingkungan dan manusia yang mengkonsumsi ikan. Alternatif yang tepat adalah penggunaan herbal untuk penanggulangan penyakit ikan budidaya di Kelurahan Pahandut Seberang. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan pada pembudidaya ikan di Kelurahan Pahandut Seberang tentang manfaat bahan obat alami (herbal) dalam penanggulangan penyakit ikan budidaya. Beberapa tumbuhan obat tradisional yang diketahui dapat dimanfaatkan dalam pengendalian berbagai agen penyebab penyakit ikan adalah seperti sirih (Piper betle L.), daun jambu biji ( Psidium guajava L.), sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata (Burm.f.) Nees). dan juga dikenalkan bahan obat alami khas Kalimantan Tengah yakni akar kuning (Arcangelisia flava Merr.) yang diketahui berdaya bakterisida pada ikan patin yang terserang penyakit Motile Aeromonac Septicemia (MAS). Metode yang digunakan adalah sosilaisasi program penyuluhan pada pembudidaya ikan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peserta memahami materi yang diberikan, hal ini tampak pada respon pertanyaan dan keinginan untuk mempraktekkan pengetahuan tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat disimpulkan pembudidaya sangat tertarik pada pemanfaatan bahan obat alami (herbal) dalam penanggulangan penyakit ikan budidaya sehingga pada akhirnya dapat membuat ikan budidaya tahan terhadap serangan penyakit.

Abstract

Plant community structure on a site has a relationship with its soil’s chemical characteristics. The research was conducted in the area of sengon and rubber stands in the administrative area of Gohong Village, Pulang Pisau District. This study aims to describe and analyze the structure of plant communities and soil chemical characteristics on the sengon and rubber stands site in Gohong Village, Pulang Pisau District. Vegetation data were collected using the stratified plot method on 9 plots placed on each stand, while soil samples for soil chemical analysis were a composite mixture of 9 drill points from each site at two depth levels, namely 0-30cm and 31-49cm. Plants found in the study site as many as 15 species belonging to 12 family, in the site of sengon stands as many as 10 species while in the site of rubber stands as many as six species. Plant species with the highest INP in the site of sengon stands are sengon and galam in the site of rubber stands are rubber. ID values range from 0.2-1.0. The depth of the peat at the research site was measured to be <50 cm with chemical characteristics of C-Organic content <5%, which was low at 4.89-6.98%, and soil acidity was very acid (pH <4.5) with a range of pH values of 3.59-3.80 and Basa Saturation (BS) was all very low with values ranging from 1.89-3.27%. Soil N-total content varied from low to medium with values ranging from 0.14-0.41%. P-availability was very low with simultaneous values of 1.18-1.41 ppm, and 0.98, and 1.19 ppm; K-dd, Ca-dd, Mg-dd, and Na-dd values were all shallow at 0.03-0.05cmol(+).kg-1, and 0.07-0.10 cmol(+).kg-1 then Ca is 0.83-1.44 cmol(+).kg-1; then Mg is the same value of 0.10 cmol(+).kg-1, and Na is 0.05-0.11 cmol(+).kg-1, while KTK is very high with a value of 49.38-60.05 cmol(+).kg-1

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of swallow excrement fertilizer on the growth of swamp jelutung (Dyera pollyphylla (Miq.) Steenis) and determine the optimal dosage of swallow excrement fertilizer for swamp jelutung (Dyera pollyphylla (Miq.) Steenis). The study was conducted in 2021, observing plant height, diameter, and leaf count over a period of 2 months. The research design method used was a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The study took place in the Green Campus area of UPR, located on Yos Sudarso Street, as part of the Seedling Garden (Kebun Benih Semai or KBS) planting area, in collaboration with BPDAS-HL Kahayan and Palangka Raya University. The results of the research indicate that the growth of swamp jelutung plants in the open area (Y3 - 100 gr/plant) showed the highest average growth, while in the closed area, the highest average growth was observed in treatment Y4 (150 gr/plant) with an average height of 31.20 cm. The increase in the diameter of swamp jelutung plants in the open area with treatment Y4 (150 gr/plant) showed the largest average value, which is 14.3 cm. Similarly, in the closed area with the same treatment (Y4 - 150 gr/plant), the average diameter was 14.4 cm. The increase in the number of leaves in the open area with treatment Y150 showed an average value of 1857 leaves, while in the closed area with the same treatment (Y150), the average number of leaves was 2136
