Abstract

Usury is a part of buying and selling that has been prohibited by Allah since the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, usury has existed since the era of ignorance, economically it has been used by capital owners to exploit poor people in order to obtain as large and as large a profit as possible. The digital era influences various usurious transactions in the digital economy. The existence of massive technological developments has resulted in a significant impact of usury in the economy, especially in the current digital era. In this regard, all ulama agree that usury which is practiced in the current digital era is prohibited because there is an element of exploitation which causes injustice from the owner of the capital to the borrower, therefore the majority of ulama usury is a source of haraam. In Indonesia, usury has been explained in MUI fatwa number 1 of 2004 concerning bank interest issued to promote or increase the prestige of sharia banks so that people switch to sharia banks and leave conventional banks. A usurious economic system can create continuous disparities in economic growth in the world community. This research found that usury is no longer relevant in this digital era, there needs to be a re-discussion so that the fatwa is appropriate to the existing situation. It is hoped that this research will be able to contribute ideas to add scientific references and considerations in future research.

Abstract

The quality of teacher-student interactions in Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BKI) plays an essential role in shaping students' learning interest, particularly in Vocational High Schools (SMK) that emphasize skill-based learning. This study, conducted at SMK Armaniyyah Bekasi, aims to explore the relationship between the quality of teacher-student interactions and students' learning interest in BKI. The main objective is to examine how factors such as communication, emotional support, trust, and empathy from teachers influence students' motivation and engagement in BKI learning. The research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design, gathering data through questionnaires distributed to students at SMK Armaniyyah Bekasi to assess their perceptions of teacher-student interactions. Additionally, a qualitative approach was implemented through in-depth interviews to provide a more comprehensive understanding of students' experiences. The initial hypothesis suggests that improved teacher-student interactions lead to increased interest in learning BKI. The study's findings are expected to offer valuable insights for educators, helping them enhance their interactions with students and develop learning strategies that cater to both the academic and spiritual needs of vocational school students. Moreover, these results aim to contribute to the development of adaptive curricula and Islamic education practices within vocational education contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the system and principles of Islamic economics from both a theoretical perspective and its contemporary implementation in Indonesia. Using a literature review method and a descriptive-analytical approach, the research aims to identify and analyze the fundamental principles of Islamic economics, such as tauhid, justice, khilafah, and al-Mas’uliyah, as well as evaluate their application in the context of modern economics in Indonesia. Through a review of relevant literature sources, this study finds that although Islamic economics holds significant potential to create a just and sustainable system, its implementation in Indonesia faces various challenges, such as social inequality, unsustainable resource management, and lack of transparency in business practices. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the understanding and implementation of Islamic economic principles to create a more inclusive and just economic system.
