Masa anak usia dini disebut sebagai masa emas (golden age) yang mana pada masa ini berkembangan berbagai potensi dan kemampuan fisik, kognitif, bahasa, seni, sosial emosional, moral, agama, konsep diri, disiplin diri, dan kemandirian. Maka dari itu penting jika sejak usia dini perlu ditanamkan nilai kemandirian dan kedisiplinan pada anak. Kemandirian dan disiplin merupakan bagian yang menjadi perhatiaan oleh Montessori. Metode Montessori memberikan kebebasan dan dukungan penuh pada kemandirian anak melalui observasi dan intervensi dengan membiarkan anak memilih kegiatan sendiri dan saat anak tertarik serta konsentrasi dengan tugasnya. Dengan begitu anak akan bertanggung jawab atas pilihannya sendiri tersebut. Montessori menerapkan Metode Latihan Kehidupan Praktis pada “Children Hose” untuk melakukan kegitan sehari- hari anak dilatih kemandirian dan disiplin . Ketika anak melangkah ke sekolah Montessori latihan dasar dimulai dengan mengenal kehidupan praktis sehari-hari

This study discusses the music learning for early childhood to cognitive development. Through music education of children can develop a variety of cognitive abilities, especially in the cognitive development. Based on some of theories cognitive ability in early childhood in a musical activity able to develop well because of the music, children will be interested to learn.
