Abstract

Garment industry is an industry that focuses on manufacture of clothing. Along with the times, development model and function clothing is increasingly varied. Company’s effort is  determine best supplier. Based on observations in Central Java garment industry, it was found problems related to continuity of fabric supply from major suppliers. When demand soars, demand for cloth supply also increases. However, the availability of fabric supplies owned by main suppliers is not able to meet the needs of garment industry. Therefore, garment industry requires alternative backup suppliers who are able to meet the supply of fabric when the main supplier is inadequate. Supplier selection will be carried out using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in weighting and Technique for Others Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method in ranking priority order of suppliers. This supplier priority will be used as an alternative supplier that will meet the availability of fabric supply.

Abstract

The development of information technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 cannot be denied. The development demands an increase in the capability and competence of Human Resources. This study aims to build a decision support system for submitting a lecturer's academic functional position with Quality Function Deployment (QFD) so that the system is following the needs and desires of the lecturer regarding the submission of academic functional positions. The system is expected to be accessed independently by lecturers so that lecturers do not experience difficulties in calculating credit scores. The approach to managing system requirements with QFD will encourage and lead to the effectiveness of the voice of the customer (VoC) as the basis for customer satisfaction. VoC helps identify the gap between the interests and needs of customers. This shows the order of priority in designing a website for the management of functional positions for lecturers is the aspects of (1) information, (2) convenience, (3) appearance, (4) design, (5) service, and (6) security.

Abstract

In this paper, plant layouts is designed by considering the influence of the environment, i.e., the variability of demand. It also considers the new Total of Material Handling Cost (TMHC), which captures the inventory carrying costs. Moreover, the comparison between the distributed and the modular layout performance is presented. Those two types of layout are called as the next generation layout. It shows that the modular layout, which is done by using graph theory, i.e., modified Hamiltonian chain, gives flexibility as good as the distributed layout. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dalam makalah akan dipaparkan suatu rancangan tata letak yang memperhatikan pengaruh dari lingkungan berupa permintaan yang selalu berubah dari waktu ke waktu. Selain itu digunakan juga ukuran Ongkos Material Handling (OMH) yang baru dengan mengakomodasi ongkos simpan selama penanganan bahan. Selanjutnya diberikan juga perbandingan performansi antar tata letak generasi baru, yaitu tata letak terdistribusi dan tata letak modular. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tata letak modular dengan menggunakan teori graph, yaitu rantai Hamilton yang dimodifikasi, dapat dikatakan sama fleksibelnya dengan tata letak terdistribusi. Kata kunci: tata letak terdistribusi, tata letak modular, Total Ongkos Material Handling (TOMH), tata letak generasi masa depan

Abstract

The development of a suggested model for rating suppliers is the goal of this research. In this study, suppliers are rated and ranked using Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) and Stepwise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA). The suggested approach incorporates both objective and subjective criteria while applying Delphi to a subset of the criteria. In order to test the proposed model in a leather company for actual use, a case study is provided. The model is able to capture all objective and arbitrary criteria in the dynamics of the group of decision-makers when rating suppliers. To help in decision-making, this proposed model includes criteria selection. Because the results of the ranking of suppliers will depend on how accurately the criteria are chosen. The suggested approach produces a workable resolution because it is not sensitive to changes in the parameters

Abstract

Permintaan pasar terhadap Thiwul instan semakin meningkat. Seringkali melebihi kapasitas Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) Thiwul instan di Dusun Regedeg, Giri Panggung, Tepus, Gunung Kidul.  Keadaan ini timbul karena kapasitas produksi yang tidak mencukupi. Rendahnya kapasitas produksi saat ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, dimana waktu proses—yang merupakan salah satu indikator kapasitas produksi—terbuang secara signifikan selama pengayakan tepung singkong. Proses penghancuran masih dilakukan secara manual, namun terdapat banyak kekurangan. Mengingat tantangan-tantangan ini, penting untuk mengidentifikasi solusi yang dapat menggantikan proses pengayaan manual dengan alternatif yang lebih efektif dan efisien.  Solusi yang diusulkan adalah pengembangan alat atau perlengkapan yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan proses pengayakan sehingga meningkatkan kapasitas produksi Thiwul instan di Dusun Regedeg, Giri Panggung, Tepus, Gunung Kidul. Dalam upaya ini, produk mesin telah direkayasa dan diproduksi dengan cermat untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi Thiwul langsung di UKM Thiwul. Mesin ini menawarkan banyak keunggulan dibandingkan metode tradisional, antara lain pengurangan waktu pemrosesan, peningkatan kualitas produk thiwul yang dihasilkan, dan penurunan kelelahan fisik yang dialami pekerja selama proses pengayakan tepung singkong.
