Abstract

The research method is the most essential element in conducting scientific research. Teachers need to master scientific research methods as a prerequisite for writing scientific papers, which are part of improving teachers' quality and professionalism. In addition, scientific research and publications are requirements for applications for promotion of functional ranks and government teacher certification. The aim of this workshop is to help teachers understand quantitative and qualitative research methods. The workshop is carried out through class discussions with the participants. The speaker first presented the material, then continued with a simple guided exercise in the class discussion. The data from the workshop were collected by means of tests to see the participants' understanding of the material and a questionnaire to see the usefulness of the workshop given. Based on the survey results, it was found that this research method workshop was well understood and beneficial to teachers.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Metode penelitian menjadi elemen yang sangat penting dalam membuat penelitian ilmiah. Para guru perlu menguasi metode penelitian ilmiah sebagai bekal menulis karya ilmiah yang termasuk salah satu upaya peningkatan kualitas profesionalisme guru. Lebih lagi, penelitian ilmiah dan publikasi merupakan syarat pengajuan kenaikan jabatan fungsional guru serta sertifikasi. Tujuan dari workshop ini adalah untuk membantu para guru untuk memiliki pengetahuan mengenai metode penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Workshop dilakukan melalui diskusi kelas dengan peserta. Pembicara terlebih dahulu mempresentasikan materi, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan latihan terbimbing sederhana dalam diskusi kelas. Data hasil workshop dikumpulkan melalui tes untuk melihat pemahaman peserta terhadap materi dan angket untuk melihat kegunaan workshop yang diberikan. Berdasarkan survey angket, diketahui bahwa workshop metode penelitian ini dapat dipahami dengan baik dianggap bermanfaat bagi para guru.

Abstract

CAREER WEBINAR: CHOOSE THE RIGHT STUDY PROGRAM FOR TODAY’S JOB TRENDS. The Webinar this time is an activity of the Community Service Team from UPH Business School to Harapan Utama High School, Batam. Based on the results of discussions regarding training needs with related parties, this PKM was carried out with the aim of providing training on choosing majors in higher education for students. With the implementation of this PKM, it is hoped that it can encourage and contribute to the development of knowledge and understanding for students regarding how to choose majors and contemporary work trends that suit their interests and talents and how to prepare themselves to include planning and how to study properly to succeed in the future.

Abstract

Institusi seperti perguruan tinggi Kristen memiliki standar dan value institusi dan sosialisasi tersendiri sesuai dengan ajaran dari agama Kristen. Teori sekular yang memiliki value untuk perguruan tinggi Kristen adalah model kepemimpinan yang diadopsi, terutama adalah model kepemimpinan transformasional dan servant leader atau kepemimpinan yang melayani. Cara servant leadership untuk pengikutnya dapat mengikutinya adalah dengan mempromosikan kecerdasan, pengetahuan, dan pembelajaran karyawan atau organization learning sehingga karyawan dapat menjadi inovatif dalam pendekatan mereka terhadap pemecahan masalah dan solusi, sehingga kinerja karyawan meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh adopsi servant leadership terhadap job performance melalui organization learning. Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu perguruan tinggi berbasis iman Kristen yang ada di Indonesia, kuesioner disebarkan dengan menggunakan metode snowball sampling menggunakan microsoft form, melalui whatsapp, e-mail, dan ms teams.

Abstract

In the era of Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA), companies are required to maximize and professionalize human resource management to achieve optimal performance in reaching organizational goals. This study aims to analyze the influence of Learning Organization, Work Motivation, and Work Environment on Employee Performance with Job Satisfaction as a mediating variable. The research uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional method. Data were collected through an online questionnaire modified from previous research instruments. The respondents consisted of 75 employees at PT. XYZ located in Tolitoli with a minimum work tenure of one year. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS software. The results show that all variables have a positive and significant influence on Job Satisfaction and Employee Performance, and Job Satisfaction can mediate the influence of Learning Organization, Work Motivation, and Work Environment on Employee Performance. These findings provide theoretical implications for human resource management and managerial implications for PT. XYZ Tolitoli in formulating strategies to improve employee performance. The study also acknowledges limitations, particularly in scope and methods used, and recommends further research with broader coverage and approaches
