Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of the use of the olive scrub of skin care body. This study is based on an indicator of changes in skin moisture and brightness of the skin. The study is in the form of pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest. The object of this research are manifold body skin dry, while the sample in this study were women who have the same age range which ranges between 18 and 25 years who have dry skin with moisture levels below 38%. Data collected from this research is primary data obtained directly from the sample by filling out the assessment form has been provided. The research data were analyzed using tests of normality, homogeneity and t-test. Based on the results of the data, proving that the use of olive scrub showed significant results for each indicator with the results of the normality test the magnitude of the numbers of significance (0.214) > α = (0.05) means that the data are normally distributed, homogeneity test results f count (4) <f Table (5.39), followed by t-test with the results of the t (-19.000) and t table (-2.776). This means that there is a significant effect on the body skin care with the use of olive scrub.Keywords: Olive scrubs, body skin care.

Abstract

The background of this researchis about the lack of awareness of the beauty salon employees in considering the aspects related to surveillance efforts on health, both individuals and neighborhood beauty salon. The study purposees were to analyze on Hygiene and Sanitation beauty salon business with Primary category in Padang Panjang City include Personal Hygiene and Sanitation beauty salon environment. Researchtype is quantitative descriptive. Research population is the whole beauty salon in Padang Panjang City, amounting to 10 salons with the number of employees 48 people. Samples of the study were the leader / employee beauty salon in Primary category totaling 30 people with purposive sampling technique. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires and observation are arranged according to a Likert scale and Guttman scale which has proven its validity and reliability. Based on the analysis of Hygiene and Sanitation beauty salon business in Padang Panjang City with indicators; 1) Personal Hygiene in fairly goodcategory (10%), with sub-indicators, namely; a) Maintenance of cleanliness infairly goodcategory (47%), b) Maintenance of cleanliness in very good category (77%). 2) Sanitation neighborhood beauty salon located in fairly good category (27%). The sub-indicators, namely; a) Eligibility beauty salon building in poorly category (7%), b) Quality of water in very good category (60%), c) Waste management is classified in good enough category (0%), d) Control of waste classified in good enough category (9%), e) Health tools and cosmetics materials in quite good category (0%). So, unknown Personal Hygiene and Sanitation beauty salon environment as a whole is still not maximize. Keywords: Hygiene, Sanitation, Beauty Salon Business

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the relationship between facial shapecorrection knowledge with practical learning outcomes makeupeducation student of Makeup and Beauty Family Welfare Departmentof the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Padang. This studyuses a quantitative method with a correlation type approach, with apopulation of 37 people. While the samples are all made in the samplepopulation which is 37 student class of 2014 or Total Sampling.Instrument research using a questionnaire (questionnaire) in the formof objective test that has been tested for validity and reliability. Dataanalysis was performed using the percentage level of achievement ofthe respondents (TCR), correlation using Product Moment formulafollowed by t test for basic decisions accepted hypothesis. The resultsshowed that the percentage achievement of respondents KnowledgeCorrection Face Shape variable (X) is 80% with high and variablecategories of practice learning outcomes makeup (Y) was 77% withmedium category. The relationship between the two variables are at ascore of 0760 with interpretation strong relationships, t test stating thatthe alternative hypothesis which says There is a positive andsignificant relationship between knowledge Correction Face Shapewith Learning Outcomes Practice Student Makeup Makeup Educationstudy program and Beauty KK FT UNP " received at the 95%significance level because the t count> t table (123 215> 2,021).Keywords: Knowledge correction, face shape, learning outcomes,makeup

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see the relationship whether there is information of cosmetic’s advertisements with the attitude of student of 2014 entry year buying the lightening facial cosmetic products of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality of State University of Padang. This study is quantitativedescriptive correlation. The population in this study is the entire students of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality of 2014 entry year of the total 243 students and total of the samples are 71 students. The technique of getting the data is using questionnaires with the likert’s scale which has been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis of data is descriptive; analysis is conducted by normalitytest, linear-test, and hypothesis-test with moment product correlation. The result of the study shows that there is a significant relationship with the direction of negative correlation between the information of advertisements and the attitude of students who buy it. The result shows that the information of cosmetic’s advertisements stand on 82% with the high category and attitude of students in buying the lightening facial cosmetics stand in on 60% with low attitude category. Abstract

This study aimed to describe hair treatment done by the students of Family Welfare Department, Faculty University of Padang who has done hair straightening (rebonding). This research is a correlation with the population of 45 people and the samples were 45 students who have been doing hair straightening (rebonding). The sample in this study was done by using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using Likert Scale and Scale questionnaire Guttman already tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis using descriptive analysis was done by testing normality and linearity test, hypothesis testing with product moment correlation. Based on the results of the data proving that the students from the Department of Family Welfare Faculty of Engineering, University of Padang; (1) hair care knowledge possessed by students who have been doing hair straightening medium category with the percentage of 33,33%, (2) Health student who has been doing hair straightening (rebonding) including category simply by 64.12% percentage, (3) There is a significant relationship between health care done by students who have hair straightening (rebonding) with evidentiary value 0.241> 0.5 in the low category.Keywords : Knowledge Hair Treatmen After Straightening, Hair Health

Abstract

This study aims to reveal students' creative relationship with the learning outcomes at the course practice care and hair styling. This research is descriptive quantitative research that describes what the subject under study in order to obtain answers to questions of the problems studied. The population in this study were students of Make up and Beauty Family Welfare Department FT UNP listed in semester from January to June 2013, which amounted to 25 people, because the population is less than 100 then the entire population in this study the research sample. The data of this study consisted of primary data in the form of questionnaires and secondary data from a pure value students daily practice in the course of care and hair styling semesters from January to June 2013. Results of data analysis showed that the average score of respondents overall achievement of the variable creativity of 65.3% with a low category, the results of student learning practices with the highest level of achievement by 76% of respondents to a value between 71-80. Ha accepted hypothesis which states that there is a positive and significant relationship between student creativity with the practice of student learning outcomes at the course and treatment of hair styling with a correlation of 0.459 with the interpretation being while Ho is rejected. From the results of the study can be recommended for all elements related to the care and grooming of learning to improve student learning through the creative use of learning resources and effort learning strategies that lead to increased creativity in learning more.Kata Kunci : Memiliki rasa ingin tahu yang luas, percaya diri, bebas dalam berekspresi, dan dapat bekerja sendiri.

Abstract

This study aims to see whether there is an influence of ‘halal’ labelon buying interest by the students of Education Makeup and BeautyFaculty of Engineering Department of Padang State University. Thisresearch is descriptive quantitative. The populations in this research were137 female students and the sample about 102 female students ofEducation Makeup and Beauty Faculty of Engineering Department ofPadang State University in academic year 2010 to 2013. The research datais primary data that obtained directly from the respondents in the form 43items questionnaire with a number of statements by using Likers scale thathas been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed usingdescriptive analysis that was performed linearly test, normality test andhypotheses test with product moment correlation. The results showed thatthere was no significant relationship but it has a positive side between‘halal’ labels on buying interest. The analysis showed that the ‘Halal’Label located on the percentage of 55% in a low category, and InterestBuy obtained the percentage 81% in a high category.Keyword: Halal label, buying interest cosmetic care and makeup

Abstract

This research is based on the problem shows that the low employee motivation beauty salon in the District of West Padang that cannot to motivate them self both from the internal and external motivation in the work so that the performance obtained has not reached the standard a beauty salon. This research is aims to show the influence of work motivation on employee’s performance beauty salon Madya classification in work at salon. This research is descriptive-quantitative correlation. The population was the employee beauty salon madya classification of total 47 peoples, the sample of technique is total sampling so that amount same is 47 peoples. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire in the form of Likert scale.Based on analysis, the result of the data is obtained that the work motivation score percentage in the low category of total 61,31%, performance of employees beauty salon in low category of total 64,31%. Both of variables correlate solidly with total 0,743. Ha hypothesis explains that the influence a positive and significance between work motivation on performance beauty salon of employees to college are accepted on significance level of total 95%. The look for result of analysis level determination of given by contribution the work variable motivations is 55,2% to beauty salon employees performance, whereas there are is 44,8% other factor which can not known its contribution to employees performance.Key words: motivation, employees performance, beauty salon

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to analyze the of celery essence to cure the dry dandruff assessed from the level of skin itching, the amount dandruff, scalp conditionsansand hair loss levels. There were three treatments done they were: a control groupthat was controlled withont using the celery essence, an experimental group thatwas treated once day by using the celery essence, and the second experimentalgroup which was treated by using the celery essence once in two days. Thisresearch was an quasi experimental research. the Sampling was purposivesampling technique used by volunteers. The sample  9 student of UNP whoindicated suffering fromdry dandruff. The Data analysis  was descriptive andanalytical Varian. Based on the reseach the results showed that the cure dandruffin the control group did not show a change towards the better on every indicator. More over, the effect of ising three differences treatment groups showedsignificantly resultson eachindicator. The use of celery juice could cure dandraffconsiderably with the appro prate frequency used eksperimenal group which wastreated. Keywords: Celery Juice, drydandruff.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the use curcuma mask for skin care facial acne were assessed in terms of color, shape, volume, and number of the acne. This study has a different treatment such as; control group, the first experimental group and the second experimental group. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with nonequivalent control group design and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling were carried out in volunteers. The samples in this study were nine students aged 17-25 years old with type inflammatory acne. The analysis of the data is using a Varian analytical techniques and Duncan test. The results showed that the change in color, shape, volume, and number of acne in the control group didn’t show the change for the better on every indicator. In contrast, the first experimental group with frequency of use of the curcuma mask once in three days showed significant influence in every indicator. Meanwhile, in the second experiment with the frequency of use once a week showed significant results in each indicator. The use of curcuma mask regularly with a frequency of 1 x 3 days and 1 x a week has provide significant result towards a better.Keywords: Curcuma Mask, Treatment, Acne Prone Skin
