Abstract

Social enterprises of waste management have been growing rapidly overtime. During the pandemic, this sector has become one of the resilient businesses where enterprises should be able to attract attention and become on top of mind with a good perception for customers. Moreover, there is currently no single company that has a strong waste management brand image. This study aims to identify the factors to build brand image, identify most significant factors which affect the improvement of brand image, and provide recommendations on how companies should build strong brand image. The data collection was carried out using a quantitative approach and purposive sampling technique with a total of 101 respondents. PLS-SEM is used to process data and analyze the relationship between variables. In addition, a qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews with 3 informants was conducted to validate data and develop recommendations. The results showed that aspects of brand behavior and attitudes and brand associations had a significant effect on the formation of the brand image of waste management social enterprises, while the other three aspects such as brand identity, brand personality, and brand competence and benefits did not show a significant effect. This study recommends waste management social enterprises can implement carrying out certain live acts, spreading positive state of mind, conducting social interaction, and holding collective acts to build brand image. Keywords: Waste Management Social Enterprises, Brand Image, Quantitative Approach, PLS-SEM,Qualitative Approach

In this article, social problem is a cultural lack, when people could not m!erpret the social phenomenon. And this article also explains how the social problem could come a social struggle. Abstract

The Role of Massmedia in Multiculture Education.Many people in Indonesia always ask that one culture is a one ethnic group, whereas oneethnic group could insist of many cultures. This condition cause of that many people living indifferent area, such as in city, periphery, country side, inside the forest, swamp area, beach, and so on. This also we always ask that culture as same as civilization, those definition and meaning are very different, culture is point to abstract value, and civilization is point to behavior, there are pattern for living, such as hunting and gathering, slash and burned cultivation, irrigation cultivation, industrial and modem industry. This article try to explain that how the people in plural society could living together as a nation, and how the mass media could roles as a red yam for uniting people in different culture, ethnic group and civilization.

Abstract

Social License is a form of acceptance and support given by the community to the company's operations, as part of the social attitude of the community, the results of social legitimacy are dynamic and can change according to the relationship between the company and the community. This study aims to determine the level of social legitimacy of the company's operations by the community in the form of the value of social license (Social License Index). This research was conducted in the Ring 1 and Ring 2 areas of the company, namely Bontang Baru Village which is the company's Ring 1 area, Bontang Kuala Village and Gusung Island Meru, North Bontang District, Bontang City, East Kalimantan Province during the period January to July 2020. This study uses mixed methods. Measurement of the value of Social License Index (SLI) using a quantitative method with 30 respondents from the community and processed using Microsoft Excel software, then to determine the quality and narrative of social legitimacy used a qualitative descriptive method by conducting in-depth interviews with 10 informants who are considered to know the conditions program. The results of the study indicate that the social legitimacy given by the community to the company's operations shows a value of 3,95 or is included in the High Approval category. This category shows that the community has accepted and trusted the company's operations in people's daily lives. This is supported by evidence of the success of the Tanjung Limau Floating Cage (KJA) CSR program implemented in the company's Ring 1 area, which has shown a positive impact on the company and the community.

Abstract

This research focuses on the community development strategy in the economic sector for a non-profit organization in Simpang Village, Indonesia, with a case study of Pasanggrahan Baranangsiang. The study aims to provide an understanding of the social dynamics within Simpang Village, shedding light on the intricacies of its socio-economic condition. It delves into the challenges confronting the residents and identifies key areas that require attention and intervention for the betterment of the community. The paper also emphasizes the need for further research to explore effective collaboration models between the public sector, private sector, and non-profit organizations in the context of community development. The findings of this study are anticipated to contribute valuable insights to the formulation of informed policies and development programs that align with the real needs and aspirations of the Simpang Village community

Abstract

Background: Collaboration plays a very important role in fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, unlike rural areas, which have constraints compared to urban areas and require special efforts to accelerate their economies.Purpose: This paper aims to explore how actors collaborate to create a prosperous entrepreneurial ecosystem in rural areas.Design/methodology/approach: We conducted a case study of Koto Mesjid Village, Indonesia, which involved collaboration between academics, government, business, and the community. Our research method involved content analysis of recorded academic reports regarding the case, using a systematic coding technique based on fundamental categories identified through a proposed model. The aim is to elucidate the relational dynamics among the ecosystem's actors, values, co-creation, and objectives.Findings/result: Our findings highlight the exchange of resources between the actors produced value that reformed the condition of rural entrepreneurial ecosystem. Collaboration led to densification and diversification of the ecosystem's resources, which in turn allowed its actors to discover new opportunities and increase their success in exploiting them. Conclusion: Building networks has the critical role to exchange knowledge in nurturing rural entrepreneurship. Policy makers can facilitate such networks to develop villages and promote regional economic growth.Originality/value: This study contributes to the conversation of service-dominant logic in the regional economic context by demonstrating that the co-creation of collective values is achievable and crucial for developing a thriving rural entrepreneurial ecosystem.
