Abstract

Abstrak: Data dan fakta tentang kemiskinan manusia Indonesia tentu menyimpulkan bahwa perlu ikhitiar percepatan yang sistematis, berkelanjutan dan tepat sasaran agar penduduk Indonesia tidak rentan terhadap dampak negatif kemiskinan. Dalam program pengentasan kemiskinan, biasanya pemerintah atau kelompok masyarakat menfokuskan hanya pada keluarga dan kurang memperhatikan unsur perempuan. Padahal perempuan dalam struktur kemiskinan menjadi salah satu individu yang rentan mengalami dampak negatif kemiskinan. Berangkat dari hal tersebut, kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Lapangan (KKL) yang merupakan bentuk pengabdian mahasiswa kepada masyarakat pada mahasiswa FTIK IAIN Pontianak diarahkan melakukan pendampingan pada perempuan miskin. Kegiatan didahului dengan pemetaan persoalan, FGD dan mengumpulkan seluruh resouce agar terlibat aktif pada pendampingan. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan mengadakan pelatihan life skill berbasis industri rumah tangga. Adapun hasil jangka pendek dari program ini yaitu: terbukanya kesadaran bahwa keadaan kesejahteraan dapat dirubah, meningkatnya kapasitas diri, lalu  bertambahnya kecakapan  pribadi  (life skil)l  tentang home industry  dengan memanfaatkan bahan baku yang tersedia disekitar dan murah , berikutnya bertambahnya alternatif usaha untuk peningkatan kesejahteraan keluarga dan terbukanya peluang usaha baru. Dalam jangka panjang diprediksi meningkatkan income dalam keluarga, meningkat kesejahteraan keluarga dan terkahir adalah tercipta dan semakin menguatnya kesetaraan gender dalam keluargaKata Kunci: Pemberdayaan, Perempuan Pesisir Abstract: Data and facts about Indonesian human poverty certainly conclude that there is a need for systematic, sustainable and targeted acceleration efforts so that the Indonesian population is not vulnerable to the negative effects of poverty. In poverty alleviation programs, usually the government or community groups focus only on the family and pay less attention to the elements of women. Whereas women in poverty structure are one of the individuals who are vulnerable to the negative effects of poverty. Departing from this, the Field Work Lecture (KKL) which is a form of student service to the community at the Pontianak IIK FTIK students is directed to provide assistance to poor women. The activity was preceded by mapping the issues, FGDs and gathering all resources to be actively involved in the assistance. The activity was carried out by organizing home industry-based life skills training. The short-term results of this program are: opening awareness that welfare conditions can be changed, increasing self-capacity, then increasing personal skills (life skills) about home industry by utilizing raw materials available around and cheap, then increasing alternative business to improve welfare family and opening new business opportunities. In the long run it is predicted to increase income in the family, increase family welfare and finally will be created and the strengthening of gender equality in the family.Keywords: Empowerment, Coastal Women

Abstract

Nowadays, there are a lot of pre-school educational institution such as Kindergarten (TK), Raudhatul Atfhal (RA), Playgrounds, Children Care, Early Childhood Education (PAUD), and so forth. Furthermore, in these educational institution, study method and approach is developed based on earl childhood characters. One of the ways is named Beyond Centres and Circle Times (BCCT). Moreover, the BCCT is theoretically a study approach which is held at the centre or cirlce. The children apparently learn something based on their themes and centre. Besides, there are still few pre-school institutions performed this model on their schools because it provides more human resources, spaces, and budget. In Pontianak, some schools have applied this method, and one of them is TK Islam Mujahidin.

Abstract

This work aims at revealing the implications of modernization and improvement of the living standards of the middle-class Malay Muslim community in Pontianak City. The modern world has proven to affects the aspects of religion and culture of the people in the globe, including the Malay Muslims in Pontianak. This is based on research employing qualitative approach with the support of ethnographic activities. Observations and in-depth interviews were to support the data collection from middle-class Malay Muslims in Pontianak. The work suggests that the modernization and improvement of the social class of Pontianak Malay Muslims has changed their relationship to the Malay culture where they have become more selective towards existing customs and traditions. In addition, the increase in the living standards has in fact also increased the desire of Malay Muslims towards various efforts to affirm class identity. Modern Malay Muslims tend to addopt modern life style with the supports of Islamic teachings they practice in everyday life as they consider Islam as the foundation of their customs and traditions. The hegemony of modernity has penetrated the life of the Malay Muslims and influenced the characteristics of their religiousity and Malaydom to a more modernized style.

Abstract

This article is based on the results of research conducted at a special child development institution in Pontianak. The focus of this paper is the internalization of religious values carried out on students at the Pontianak Special Child Development Institute. The purpose of this study is to find the cultivation of religious values in a special child development institution in Pontianak. The results of this study show that the internalization of religious values is carried out in several religious activities such as: congregational dzuhur prayers, Friday prayers, dhuha prayers, Saturday recitations, joint recitations, recitations in the month of Ramadan, and Islamic holidays. The activity aims to generate individual and social piety of students. Piety that students have as capital to gain re-admission in the community for criminal acts that have been committed. Individual and social piety is a religious habitus instilled in students through cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects to rationally make students aware of the social capital that will be received by society when they leave the special child development institution in Pontianak. This writing is a qualitative descriptive research where data is obtained based on the results of interviews, observations, and documentation at the research site.

Abstract

Community-based therapeutic healing, then abbreviated C-bTH, has crucial advantages for parents, teachers, and their students with disabilities to partcipate in reciprocal help that facilitates social participation to avoid self-alienation. This study examines the social participation of the parents and the shadow teachers for their children and students with disabilities for fulfilling their needs. The sampling includes 15 adults together with three administrative officers who were involved in the C-bTH. To gather data, in-depth interviews and observations were employed. The data were analyzed via the phenomenological approach that perceives data as what it shows itself as it is without the researcher imposed his/her thoughts on it. The study revealed four themes connected to basic needs of children and students with disabilities to be fulfilled. Results showed the engagement of the parents in the C-bTH and the teacher at school all of which is to meet the basic rights of the children with disabilities. First, the parents accompany their children to participate in the therapeutic healing. They have helped the children to develop physically and psychologically. Second, the parents and the teachers involved in Islamic education such as teaching, learning, and evaluation. Third, the parents participated in the entrepreneurial and cooperative programs to support the children and to evaluate the services. Fourth, the parents participated in recreation and shared their experience.
