Abstract

DKI Jakarta area with high CO2 emission and 84,95 % of  built-up areas (year of 2009) cause urban heat island (UHI).  To overcome UHI problems, its characteristics must be known.  Trend analysis of surface temperature areas was conducted by comparison of surface temperature spatial distribution of 2006 with 2010.  UHI analysis based on geograpical coordinates were also conducted.  High surface temperature of > 34 ºC was on inner city and decreasing to sub urban area.  High surface temperature were especially on high density bulit-up areas. Priority of  solving UHI problems are conducted on high surface temperature areas. Keyword: UHI, surface temperature, built-up area, trend analysis.

Abstract

Air temperature and temperature humidity index in the urban was recorded as being higher compared to the surrounding area, while on the contrary the humidity is lower.  Lower air temperature, increased air humidity and reduced temperature humidity index could be achieved through the development of green open space area which considered aesthetical aspect and used plants with high leaf area index.  Statistical analysis showed that the increasing Leaf Area Index had caused the decrease of air temperature and the increase of humidity.  These conditions reduced the value of Temperature Humidity Index and increased human comfort. Keywords:   temperature,   humidity, Leaf Area Index, Temperature Humidity Index, green open space.

Abstract

Environmental services are the services provided by the ecosystem functions that have direct and indirect benefits to human well being. The purpose of this study is to analyze environmental services changes in the District and City of Bogor on 1990 and 2014. The focus of the study is analyzing the environmental service of carbon stock, carbon sinks, biodiversity, the aesthetic of landscape, water regulation and climate amelioration. The data collection method began with data preprocessing then followed by a groundcheck at field to take sample point, after that followed by image classification that produce land cover. Land cover that has been classified then given the value of environmental services by changing the format of raster into a polygon. The average value of environmental services in District of Bogor on 1990 is 4,86 and in the city of Bogor is 4,56, while on 2014 the average value of environmental services in District of Bogor is 4,54 and in the City of Bogor is 3,72. Change of environmental services in the City of Bogor greater than in District of Bogor due to the magnitude of changes in land cover types of forest to other land cover especially for settlement. Beside that, it is also caused by differences of development policy between Bogor district and city of Bogor. The focus of development in the district is agricultural production sector and the city are trading and services sectors. Government of City and Distric of Bogor should do some efforts for maintaining and even improving environmental services by allocating space for land which dominated by trees and agroforestry system.Keywords: environmental services, environmental services score, environmental services change

Abstract

Ciliwung river is a river with water quality classified in moderate poluted until heavy polluted due to the high pollution load and lack of open green space in river banks, except in some area including Bogor Botanical Garden (KRB). Bogor Botanical Garden (KRB) is one of the open green space that play a rule of buffer area for Ciliwung River in KRB segment. The results of this research by analyzing the water quality (physico-chemical factors and macrozoobenthos) on the inlet KRB, middle KRB and outlet KRB showed that Ciliwung river in KRB segment still meet water quality standard class II except COD. Macrozoobenthos community structure is dominated by the order Ephemeroptera and Trichoptera. Analysis of water quality using Water Quality Index, Pollution Index, Shannon-Wiener diversity index and Hilsenhoff Biotic Index shows there are increasing of the quality of water from the inlet KRB, middle KRB to the outlet KRB.Keywords: green open space, macrozoobenthos, purification

Abstract

Nickel mining is one of open type mining having a high risk on environment. Birds are often used as indicators of habitat change in reclaimed mine-land. The objectives of this study were (1) to identify bird species; (2) to compare bird communities; (3) to predict biotic and abiotic factors that affect bird communities in mining reclamation land according to the age of reclamation, and natural forest in nickel mining area. This research was conducted on reclaimed land in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009. The composition of bird species is described based on family, endemicity and feeding guild. Bird data were analyzed using Shannon index, Jacknife index, and Sorensen community similarity. Estimation of environmental factors is calculated using multiple regression analysis. This study discovered 41 bird species from 23 family classified into 7 guilds. There were 17 Sulawesi endemic species, and one of them is categorized as vulnerable by IUCN (Rhabdotorrhinus exarhatus). The highest species richness and diversity was found in year 2006 reclamation land (34 species, S = 44, H '= 3,08). The highest similarity analysis of bird communities was in 2006 reclaimed land and natural forest (Cn = 0,79). Based on the results of multiple regression analysis, 3 variables significantly affect the presence of birds (the insect abundance, number of tree species, and the closest perpendicular distance to the river). The presence of birds is influenced by food sources (insects, fruit) and the presence of water. The composition of bird species approached natural conditions with increasing age of reclaimed land. Abstract

Kementerian Perindustrian sangat konsen dengan masalah lingkungan dapat dilihat dari kebijakan pengembangan industri yang ramah lingkungan (industri hijau). Salah satu program reposisi kementerian untuk unit sekolah adalah penataan lingkungan sekolah menjadi green school. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat pengetahuan, sikap, dan intensi perilaku peduli lingkungan siswa SMK Kemenperin, menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan lingkungan hidup, sikap, norma subjektif dan persepsi kontrol perilaku terhadap intensi perilaku peduli terhadap lingkungan siswa SMK Kemenperin, dianalisis dengan menggunakan program excell dan Struktural Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil analisis menunjukkan pengetahuan lingkungan hidup, sikap dan intensi perilaku peduli lingkungan siswa SMK Kemenperin sangat baik oleh responden. Hasil analisis uji dengan Struktural Partial Least Square (PLS) diketahui bahwa variabel pengetahuan lingkungan hidup berpengaruh positif terhadap sikap tetapi tidak signifikan, sementara sikap, norma subjektif dan persepsi kontrol perilaku berhubungan positif dan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap intensi perilaku peduli lingkungan siswa SMK Kemenperin.

Abstract

SariTaman Keanekaragaman Hayati Mekarsari sebagai ruang terbuka hijau memiliki kemampuan untuk mengatur iklim mikro seperti hutan kota, taman kota, kebun raya, dan arboretum. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji kondisi vegetasi dan iklim mikro di Taman Keanekaragaman Hayati Mekarsari. Penelitian ini mengukur suhu, kelembapan, indeks kenyamanan termal, karakteristik pohon, dan indeks luas daun pada setiap plot di lima blok taman, yaitu di luar taman, blok bambu, buah, sumber air, dan rimba. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Taman Kehati Mekarsari pada bulan Mei-Juni 2018. Analisis data dilakukan dengan penghitungan suhu dan kelembapan udara rata-rata harian, indekskenyamanan, metode ambang batas, dan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Blok bambu memiliki suhu terendah, kelembapan tertinggi, dan dikategorikan sebagai hutan berdasarkan nilai LAI sedangkan blok luar memiliki kondisi yang berlawanan dengan nilai LAI yang diklasifikasikan sebagai lahan tidak bervegetasi. Dalam statistik, penelitian tidak signifikan karena kondisi iklim mikro dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, tidak hanya LAI. Perbedaan faktor-faktor tersebut yang membuat setiap blok memiliki iklim mikro yang berbeda. Hal ini berkaitan erat dengan karakteristik struktural tanaman dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Kondisi iklim mikro di luar Taman Kehati Mekarsari memiliki suhu paling tinggi sehingga blok ini dapat dijadikan prioritas untuk dilakukan penghijauan. Penelitian lebih lanjut harus dilakukan dengan menambahkan lebih banyak variabel yang memiliki hubungan dengan iklim mikro.

Abstract

Peningkatan tutupan lahan terbangun dan berkurangnya ruang terbuka hijau menjadi penyebab perubahan unsur-unsur iklim di suatu wilayah, salah satunya suhu permukaan. Teknologi penginderaan jauh dapat memberikan data spasial yang akurat dalam waktu yang relatif singkat. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui peran Taman Kehati Mekarsari dalam mengantisipasi kenaikan suhu permukaan di Sukabumi, Jawa Barat berdasarkan kondisi tutupan lahan tahun 2000, 2003, dan 2017 di Taman Kehati dan enam desa sekitarnya. Citra Landsat 5 TM tahun 2000, Landsat 7 ETM tahun 2003, dan Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS tahun 2017 digunakan untuk mengetahui perubahan tutupan lahan, suhu permukaan, dan dihubungkan dengan kondisi kerapatan tajuk. Hasil klasifikasi menunjukkan bahwa tutupan lahan mengalami perubahan tiap tahun. Pada tahun 2017 Desa Caringin yang di dalamnya terdapat Taman Kehati Mekarsari memiliki tutupan lahan vegetasi pohon paling luas sebesar 151,86 ha dan berpengaruh dengan tingkat kerapatan vegetasi yang paling tinggi dibanding desa lain di sekitarnya. Kondisi luas tutupan lahan vegetasi pohon dan kerapatan vegetasi yang tinggi di Desa Caringin berhubungan dengan suhu permukaan di desa tersebut. Desa Caringin memiliki luas wilayah dengan suhu permukaan nyaman optimal pada kelas 22- < 24oC terbesar dibanding desa lainnya. Pengelolaan Taman Kehati Mekarsari selama kurun waktu 2000-2017 mampu memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan tutupan lahan vegetasi, kerapatan vegetasi, dan kondisi suhu permukaan khususnya di Desa Caringin.

Abstract

Bandung regency is one of the cities with many environmental problems oc like other cities in Indonesia. These problems are the continues increasing the number and density of population, and the increasing increased industrial and transportation. On the other hard, the forest area and green open space in Bandung Regency continues to decline. This causes increased air pollution and air temperature. The problems can be sowed with micro climate reparation in Bandung regency using urban forest in order to improve the climate conditions (amelioration) efficiently and effectively.
