Abstract

This article aims to discuss dynamics of the Sunni and Shia relations in Manado. The data were collected from interviews, observation, and documentation. This study shows that the Sunni and Shia Muslim relations in Manado lived in harmony at the grassroots level. They lived next door, visited, and also helped each other in various matters. However, the relations between Sunni and Shia had been in tension due to anti-Shia campaigns by local Sunni elites and Salafi-Wahabi groups in the public sphere that took advantage of the momentum of the Sunni-Shia conflicts in the country and also the Middle East. They also took advantage of the particular political events deemed to benefit the Shia’s existence. Although the Shia groups had become the target of hatred, it did not result in physical violence. The abuse that occurred on the Shia was of verbal and symbolic. This study concludes that the minority status does not always lead to a harmonious relationship within its own internal group.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang solusi al-Qur’an terhadap ideologi rasisme. Dari permasalahan pokok yang dijabarkan dalam bentuk sub masalah yaitu: 1) Bagaimana hakikat rasisme, dan  2) Bagaimana solusi rasisme perspektif al-Qur’an. Untuk menjawab masalah di atas, maka digunakan metode pendekatan multidisipliner, akan tetapi dalam pelaksanaan penelitian digunakan metode maudhu’ī. Dalam pengolahan data digunakan metode kualitatif, dan untuk menafsirkan ayat-ayat menggunakan metode pendekatan tafsir (exegetical approach) karena tehnik kerjanya lebih banyak bersentuhan dengan kitab-kitab tafsir serta penafsiran dari para ahli yang bergelut pada bidang sosio-historis khususnya tentang rasisme. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Al-Qur’an memberikan pemahaman bagaimana cara menghindarkan ideologi rasisme tersebut di antaranya bahwa keragaman sebagai sunnatullah, pada asalnya semua manusia mulia, tentang kebangsaan, toleransi, keadilan, membangun komunikasi beradab, membangun persatuan melalui persaudaraan dan menjunjung tinggi Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM).

Abstract

The discourse on the concept of "Merdeka Belajar" in the education system in Indonesia is still an exciting topic for discussion. One of the topics that become a question is whether the concept of "Merdeka Belajar" is in line with the concept of education that humanizes humans from the perspective of the Qur'an. This literature study aims to reveal and describe the concept of education that humanizes humans and its relevance to the concept of 'Merdeka Belajar,' which is currently applied in the education system in Indonesia based on the perspective of the Qur'an. The data were obtained through a literature review where the procedures and steps referred to several verses in the Qur'an relevant to the topic of discussion. The verses that are the subject of study in this paper include Al-Isra: 70, al-Mujādilah: 11: Al-Nahl: 125, An-Nisa": 1, and al-Hujurat: 13. Furthermore, the verses of the Qur "an are analyzed using the thematic methods (maudhu "i) with content analysis techniques. The results conclude that education is essential for human life; it can shape people and determine their social status. Education humanizes humans by understanding each individual as a natural human being. Therefore, it was in line with the concept of "Merdeka Belajar" which gives freedom to each individual to choose education to actualize himself.

Abstract

Prophetic Communication is briefly defined as 'Prophetic Communication' or 'Apostolic Communication'. Prophetic communication does not only mean "communication that imitates the 'prophet's ways of communicating'', or 'dakwah' or 'Islamic communication', but goes further than that, namely communication that seeks to imitate prophetic goals. so the writer uses two theoretical frameworks, firstly Kuntowijoyo's prophetic communication, as well as Harun Nasution's in Islamic books in terms of various aspects. This research is based on library research. The data collected consists of verses from the Qur'an and written materials that have been published in the form of books, journals, and magazines as well as from the internet which have direct and indirect links. with this research. This research was also carried out using descriptive-analytical research, namely by describing the form of civil society embodied by the prophet through an Islamic communication approach that adorns religious social life. The results of the study found that the Qur'an is substantially and principally very relevant to the content of prophetic communication, namely a). amar ma'ruf (humanization), such as getting used to cooperative behavior, increasing social welfare, strengthening brotherhood, and maintaining social solidarity, b). nahi munkar (liberation), such as egalitarian-based identity construction, poverty alleviation, child protection, and gender equality, c). al-iman billah (transcendence), such as strengthening the values of faith and piety, repentance as a purification of the soul, and internalizing morals.

Abstract

Kecerdasan merupakan salah satu anugerah besar dari Allah SWT kepada manusia dan menjadikannya sebagai salah satu kelebihan manusia dibandingkan dengan makhluk lainnya. Kecerdasan intelektual (IQ) mengedepankan logika yang bersumber dari teori yang dapat dinalar dalam segala tindakannya. Kecerdasan emosional (EQ) mengedepankan pendekatan emosional/ perasaan dalam menyikapi suatu hal. Sedangkan kecerdasan spiritual (SQ) merupakan pola pikir dengan pendekatan spiritual atau keyakinan diri dalam tindakannya. Posisi IQ berada pada otak kiri memiliki sifat logis, linear dan rasional. Cara berpikirnya sesuai untuk tugas-tugas teratur ekspresi verbal, menulis, membaca, asosiasi auditorial, menempatkan detail dan fakta, fonetik, serta simbolisme. Sedangkan kecerdasan emosional berada pada otak kanan. EQ akan menghasilkan sikap personal, pengendalian diri dan sikap sosial yang positif. Serta kecerdasan spiritual SQ yang menyakini setiap apa yang dilakukan pasti adanya kekuatan Allah SWT sehingga manusia mendapatkan nilai-nilai dalam hidupnya. IQ yang berpusat pada otak kiri melaihirkan kecerdasan rasional atau logis. EQ atau Kecerdasan emosional berpusat pada otak kanan yang melahirkan kecerdasan emosional intuitif etis. SQ berpusat pada jaringan antar keduanya melahirkan spiritual unitif dan transenden, dengan kekuatan ini manusia dapat menemukan makna dibalik seluruh pengalaman hidup yang telah dijalani. IQ, EQ, dan SQ, berdasarkan pandangan Alquran, manusia memiliki berbagai potensi psikologis dan potensi-potensi ini menentukan kualitas manusia. Potensi-potesi tersebut adalah ruh, aql, qalb, dan nafs. Oleh temuan modern potensi-potensi ini kemudian diterjemahkan kedalam IQ, EQ, dan SQ. Potensi-potensi yang diberikan oleh Allah SWT tersebut memungkinkan membawa manusia yang diinginkan oleh Allah SWT beribadah Kepada Allah atau menjadi insan kamil dan atau sebaliknya menjadi manusia yang durhaka kepada Allah SWT.
