Abstract

This study aims to empirically test compliance with the 5M Health Protocol for the Covid-19 pandemic in terms of risk perceptions and public trust of University of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa students. The hypotheses in this study are: 1) There is a positive relationship between risk perception on 5M health protocol compliance, 2) There is a positive relationship between public trust in 5M health protocol compliance, 3) There is a positive relationship between risk perception and public trust in protocol compliance 5M health. The subjects used in this study were students of the University of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. The number of subjects in this study were 100 students. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The analytical technique used to test the hypothesis in this study uses independent sample T-test analysis to test the validity. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between risk perception on 5M health protocol compliance with a significance level of 0.000 (p<0.05), public trust in 5M health protocol compliance with a significance level of 0.000 (p<0.05) and risk perception. and public trust in compliance with the 5M health protocol with a significance level of 0.000 (p<0.05), this indicates that all proposed hypotheses are accepted. This study resulted in R Square = 0.521 so that it can be stated that the contribution of the effectiveness of risk perception and public trust with 5M health protocol compliance is 52.1% while 47.9 is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the relationship between self-control and impulsive buying of female K-Pop fans. The subjects of this study were female K-Pop fans who joined the "X" fan club in Yogyakarta, which were taken using a purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument in this study is the self-control scale and the impulsive buying scale. The self-control scale is based on the Averil aspect and the impulsive buying scale is based on the Rook aspect. This research uses descriptive quantitative. The data analysis method used is the product-moment correlation with the help of the SPSS statistics 16.0 program computer program for windows. The results of this study indicate that there is a negative relationship between self-control and impulsive buying of (r) = 0.888 p = 0.000 which means the higher the self-control, the lower the impulsive buying behavior, and the lower the self-control, the higher the impulsive buying behavior. These results indicate that the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is a significant negative relationship between self-control and impulsive buying. The contribution of self-control to impulsive buying is 77.44% and the remaining 22.56% is influenced by other factors not measured in this study.

Abstract

The issue of mental health among students, especially those in psychology programs, has garnered increased attention due to the rising cases of suicides and mental disorders. This research aims to explore the relationship between mental health literacy and help-seeking behavior among psychology students. The research methodology employed a descriptive approach, involving the participation of 100 psychology students who responded to a survey with open-ended questions. Research findings indicate that the majority of psychology students still have limited understanding regarding mental health issues and literacy, as well as how these relate to help-seeking behavior. The implications of these findings are expected to contribute to raising awareness among psychology students about the importance of mental health literacy and how it can shape more effective help-seeking behaviors. Further research may be needed to develop in-depth and relevant interventions at the higher education level to support the mental well-being of students.

Abstract

Adolescent mental health is influenced by resilience, which is defined as the ability to face challenges. Low resilience renders adolescents vulnerable to loneliness due to limited social support, which in turn heightens the risk of suicidal ideation. Social support can bolster resilience while mitigating the negative effects of loneliness; however, research positioning resilience as a mediator and social support as a moderator in this relationship remains limited, particularly among adolescents in high-risk areas such as Gunungkidul. This study aims to explore the role of resilience as a mediator and social support as a moderator in the relationship between loneliness and suicidal ideation. A quantitative cross-sectional correlational method was employed, together with a cluster random sampling technique. The sample comprised 420 students, consisting of 308 females and 112 males. The data collection technique used a social support scale, a resilience scale, and a suicidal ideation scale. The data were analyzed through a series of path analyses with the causal step method and MRA. Social support is shown to significantly moderate the direct effect of loneliness on resilience (p = .006 < .05), which indicates that social support increases. However, such support is unable to moderate the direct effect of resilience on suicidal ideation (p = .196 > .05), nor of loneliness on suicidal ideation (p =  .338 > .05). The mediation effect test shows that loneliness does not have a significant effect on suicidal ideation when the resilience variable is controlled (p = .185 > .05). Regression model 2 in the mediation effect test indicates that only resilience has a significant effect on suicidal ideation (-.184 p < .05). The implications of the study include the understanding that suicidal ideation will be lower if accompanied by a decrease in loneliness and an increase in resilience and social support.
