Community-based tourism is a form of participatory tourism management, aimed at reviewing the application of the principles of Community Based Tourism (CBT) supply chain in tourism development on Teluk Kiluan Beach and knowing its implications for the welfare of the surrounding community. This study uses a qualitative approach at Teluk Kiluan Tanggamus Beach research site in Lampung Province, and conducts primary data collection with interviews, in-depth interviews, and observations from key informants and other supporting informants then as a validity test. The results of the study show that CBT in developing coastal tourism on Teluk Kiluan applies economic principles and non-economic principles (social, cultural, political and institutional). The economic dimension of the implications of CBT supply chain on the welfare of the communities around the Gulf coast is characterized by: absorption of local labor, development of business units, doubling of people's income, and growing and developing new investors. Improving education, quality of life, changes in social values, freedom of action, environmental sustainability and the involvement of institutional strengths are the implications of implementing CBT on non-economic welfare of the community.

Abstract

Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Ekonomi, Rumah Tangga, Pengeluaran dan Kesejahteraan Rumah Tangga ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze the influence of the level of education of the head of the household on the welfare of households in Indonesia. The multinomial logistic regression model has been estimated with the opportunity for households to achieve well-being as the dependent variable and a set of education levels taken by all households as explanatory variables. Data were obtained from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) with the use of longitudinal data, IFLS 2000, 2007, and 2014. One of the main results was the probability of households achieving welfare more acceptable to households with lower secondary education. The risk of not being welfare is actually owned by the head of the household who has a high school education to college. Other important results according to the statistical analysis are the highest expenditure lies in the head of the household with elementary education and the second is the head of the household with high school education. Keywords: Education, Economics, Household, Expenditure and Household Welfare.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between economic growth, which uses per capita Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and environmental degradation, which uses metric/ton carbon emission. This study was conducted in high-income southeast Asian countries incorporating 1998-2018 time-series data. Here investment represented by Foreign Direct Investment, population growth, and industrial growth were also used as the independent variables. The use of panel data regression with the fixed effect model has led to evidence that EKC, based on the inverted-U curve between economic growth and industrial growth positively affects environmental degradation and that population growth and investment negatively influence environmental degradation as explained by the increase in carbon emission.

Abstract

This paper investigate to the fiscal sustainability condition in Indonesia by analyzing the influence of government debt to GDP ratio on the primary balance ratio for the period of 1990 – 2022. Therefore, this study analyzed the data using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method. The result show that the government debt during the period of 1990 – 2022 is in a safe position in the long run. In this case, the government is able to achieve a primary surplus condition, reducing the government’s financial risks. The primary surplus can reduce dependence on new debt. In other words, the government is able to control the growth of its debt proportionally to the country’s economy even amidst the Covid – 19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of economic growth, education, and unemployment rates on poverty in Indonesia. While numerous studies have explored these relationships, this research aims to fill the gap by utilizing recent data and the Random Effect model for panel data analysis. The objective is to understand how these variables influence poverty levels and to provide relevant policy recommendations. The methodology includes t-statistics to test the partial effects and F-statistics to test the simultaneous effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The findings indicate that economic growth does not significantly affect poverty, whereas education and unemployment rates have significant impacts. The conclusions suggest the importance of income redistribution policies, improving access to and quality of education, and job creation in reducing poverty. This research contributes by highlighting the crucial roles of education and unemployment in the context of poverty alleviation in Indonesia and proposes evidence-based policies to support more inclusive development.
