This study uses a quantitative approach with the comparative research type and using non-parametric statistical test equipment (Wilcoxon signed-rank test) on its hypothesis test. Sample determination uses a purposive sampling technique resulting in the usage of 7 Conventional Commercial Banks (BRI, Mandiri, BTPN, BCA, BTN, BNI, and BPD Kaltim) as samples in this study. Technological sophistication in the era of globalization continues to encourage banks to provide the latest breakthroughs through modern lifestyles and easy access to banking services through electronic banking. In its implementation, electronic banking offers several services that can be used by customers, including mobile banking and Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). In line with technological developments, the complexity of banking risks has also increased from a credit perspective due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the effect of electronic banking and risk profiles on banking profitability in Indonesia within 5 years of observation starting in 2017-2021. The research sample consisted of 5 conventional banks that met the purposive sampling criteria using multiple linear regression methods. Previously, a model specification test was carried out, with the results of the Random Effect Model (REM) as the best model to be used in this study. The data used in this study also passed the classical assumption test. Research results show that the number of ATM and NPL has a significant effect on ROA. Meanwhile, mobile banking has no significant effect on ROA.

Abstract

Financial performance is an illustration of the level of success achieved by a bank in its operational activities. banking financial performance is a major factor and is very important to assess the overall banking performance by looking at the value of the company. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of CAR, NPL, LDR and BOPO on firm value with profitability as an intervening variable in banking companies. This type of research is quantitative research. As for the sample used in this study, namely 8 bank financial reports published during the 2012-2021 period using the random sampling method. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression and Moderrated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results of the study state that CAR and NPL have no effect on firm value, while LDR and BOPO have a negative and significant effect on firm value. In addition, the results of this study also state that profitability is proven to be able to moderate the relationship between the influence of CAR, NPL, LDR and BOPO on firm value. It is hoped that banking management can focus more on improving the performance of the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and BOPO (Operating Costs to Operating Income), this is because during the study period these variables had a negative and significant effect on Price to Book Value (PBV). Besides that, banking companies also need to pay attention to their profitability. Because profitability is a picture of banking in obtaining profits.
