Abstract

This paper observes the idea of Abdurrahman Wahid's Sufism. It is important to study Sufism in the strengthening of dual morality in Indonesian Muslims. It is to complement the development of contemporary Sufism discourse in the archipelago as well. The research method of this paper was a literature review. The data used in this paper were the works of Abdurrahman Wahid in the form of a collection of articles, bookkeeping of 'preface', and 'preface' which were scattered in several other people's books as well as other relevant writing sources. The data that had been collected were then analyzed using a qualitative content analysis method according to the topic of the writing. The results of this research found that Abdurrahman Wahid's idea of Sufism contributed significantly to the realization of the basic values and teachings of Islam in the life of religion, society, nation, and state. It indicates that Abdurrahman Wahid has transformed the meaning and actualized Sufism from and for Sufism. Love and compassion play a central role at the core of Sufism which is actively manifested in social life to fight for human values and principles.

Abstract

This study discusses curriculum development in schools and Islamic boarding schools. The objectives are (1) to find out the basis for implementing Islamic boarding school-based curriculum and learning, (2) to find out the factors that support and activate the implementation of Islamic boarding school-based curriculum and learning. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a case study research design. Data collection techniques with the process of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study prove that: (1) SD Plus Pesantren Al-Anwar uses a curriculum that has been instructed by the local education office and Islamic boarding school, (2) learning is carried out according to formal school hours and learning is also carried out while students live in dormitories. The supporting factors are the existence of appropriate school policies, professional teachers, and complete infrastructure. While the inhibiting factors include the condition of students or students who are less responsible in terms of learning, so they seem to still like to play and learn less optimally.

Abstract

Objective. This study aims to elaborate on the role of lecturer-student collaboration in developing student creativity. Method. This research is mix-method research. Data were obtained from 30 students and eight lecturers at three state universities in Malang, East Java. Data was collected through a creative personality scale and interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques, while interview data were analyzed by thematic analysis. Findings. The analysis results show that lecturer-student collaboration activities have implications for the high level of student creativity. Conclusion. The results of this study have implications that lecturer activities have an essential role in developing student creativity. The limitation of this research lies in the data collection process, which is only done online. Further research is expected to use the method of observation and in-depth interviews to be able to reveal the data more comprehensively.Keywords: academic atmosphere, creativity, creative personality, lecturer-student collaboration, teaching models.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i1.202219
