Abstract

The people in Negara Tulang Bawang Village have a livelihood as farmers, civil servants, TNI,POLICE and private employees, entrepreneurs and traders as big as, workers as big as and others.The partner's great desire is that the gardens in the village can become pilot gardens and agro-tourismby applying technology and innovations that are useful for the production and productivity of plantationcrops. The innovation that can be applied is the procurement of innovation or technology for thepreservation of oil palm pollinating insects. The condition of the partners has a large area of land andabundant resources, but the productivity and production of palm oil is stagnant. The results of fieldreviews and discussions with partner farmers found that the presence of pollinating insects wasminimal at the location and assistance such as counseling and additional insight were not obtained bypartner farmers. The activity proposer team has designed the method of activity that is applied bymeans of counseling, demonstration, training, consultation, and guidance, as well as evaluation. Aftercounseling, assistance is carried out by monitoring and evaluating innovation programs that are givenor applied to farmers. Increased understanding and technical manufacturing of technology by 100%,implementation by 40% and increase in oil palm production after the implementation of technologytransfer by 21.43%.

Abstract

Desa Wiyono, termasuk desa yang penduduknya memiliki mata pencaharian sebagai petani. Penduduk di desa tersebut mayoritas sebesar 82% merupakan masyarakat transmigrasi dari Pulau Jawa yang bertani tanaman perkebunan seperti kakao, pala, lada dan kelapa. Berdasarkan hasil survei dan diskusi dengan salah satu kelompok tani di Desa Wiyono yaitu Kelompok Tani Jaya Makmur dan masyarakat di sekitar, Kelompok Tani Jaya Makmur sudah mendapatkan bibit lada perdu yang merupakan kerja sama Dinas Pertanian dan Perkebunan Provinsi dengan Pemerintah daerah setempat. Pengembangan lada perdu ini memiliki beberapa keuntungan diantaranya, tanaman lada perdu lebih cepat berbuah, tidak membutuhkan tiang panjat, bisa ditanam di halaman rumah atau ditanam dalam pot, sehingga dalam melakukan panen lebih mudah. Sehingga dengan adanya bibit lada perdu ini, Kelompok Tani Jaya Makmur menginginkan pendapatan tambahan dari proses budidayanya. Namun, dengan kondisi lahan yang ada telah ditanami komoditas tanaman perkebunan lainnya, para petani masih ragu untuk melakukan budidaya tanaman lada perdu. Oleh karena itu, Tim Pengabdian Polinela memberikan solusi budidaya lada perdu menggunakan teknologi pemanfaatan sela tanaman dan lahan pekarangan. Tim Pengabdian Polinela melakukan fokus dalam proses budidaya lada perdu yang baik dan berkelanjutan untuk produksi lada yang berkesinambungan. Penerapan teknologi itu dilakukan melalui penyuluhan, demonstrasi, pelatihan, konsultasi, dan bimbingan, serta evaluasi. Penyuluhan yang dilakukan dengan menjabarkan dan memberi wawasan tentang proses budidaya lada perdu yang baik dan berkelanjutan. Setelah penyuluhan, dilakukan pendampingan dengan cara memantau dan mengevaluasi program inovasi yang diberikan atau diterapkan kepada petani. Peningkatan pemahaman dan pengembangan teknis teknologi sebesar 100% dan penerapan teknologi sebesar 40%.

Abstract

Desa Wiyono, termasuk desa yang penduduknya memiliki mata pencaharian sebagai petani. Sebesar 69,8% lahan di Desa Wiyono digunakan untuk pertanian, 28,61% digunakan untuk pemukiman serta perdagangan dan jasa, dan 0,68% digunakan untuk jalan. Berdasarkan hasil survei dan diskusi dengan kelompok tani dan masyarakat Desa Wiyono, mereka mendapatkan lada sebagai hasil kerja sama antara Dinas Pertanian Provinsi dengan pihak perkebunan dan pemerintah setempat. Hasil temuan di lapangan hampir 40% tanaman lada khususnya lada perdu yang dibudidayakan oleh petani mitra mengalami patah bagian pangkal batang dan busuk di seluruh bagian tanaman. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh adanya serangan penyakit busuk pangkal batang dan busuk akar yang menyerang tanaman lada. Oleh karena itu, petani mengingkan solusi yang berkelanjutan dalam penanganan budidaya lada khususnya lada perdu untuk pengelolaan hama dan penyakit tanaman. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka tim pengabdian Polinela melakukan fokus dalam pengelolaan penyakit yang ramah lingkungan dengan menerapkan tindakan preventif melalui penggunaan agen hayati Trichoderma. Hal ini tentu perlu dilakukan pendampingan dalam penerapan inovasi atau teknologi tersebut. Tim Pengusul kegiatan telah merancang metode kegiatan yang akan diterapkan dengan cara penyuluhan, demonstrasi, pelatihan, konsultasi, dan bimbingan, serta evaluasi. Penyuluhan yang dilakukan dengan menjabarkan dan memberi wawasan tentang pentingnya agen hayati Trichoderma dalam pengendalian penyakit selama proses budidaya lada perdu.

Abstract

Coffee drink is a drink extracted from coffee beans that produces spent coffee grounds, which have macro chemical compounds for plants in terms of growth and development, namely Ca, Mg and N, P, K. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best dose of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) from spent coffee grounds for the growth of coffee seedlings. The study was conducted from January to June 2023 at the Lampung State Polytechnic Practice Park, Bandar Lampung. This study used a Randomized Block Design, consisting of 4 doses of liquid organic fertilizer treatment (P0 = 0, P1 = 50 ml, P2 = 100 ml and P3 = 150 ml per polybag) with the observed variables being plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter and dry root weight at 14 to 84 days after planting (DAF). The results of this study are that the application of LOF from spent coffee grounds affects the height of coffee seedlings at 14 and 28 DAF, the number of leaves at 84 DAF, and the diameter of the stem at the age of 56, 70, 84 DAF, but does not affect the dry root weight. The best treatment is the application of LOF with a dose of 100 ml/polybag which has a major effect on plant height, number of leaves and stem diameter. Keywords: dregs, dose, spent coffee, liquid fertilizer

Abstract

Several factors affect the production of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.), one of which is the quality of seedlings. The quality of seedlings is affected by the type of clones and the composition of the planting media. This study aims to obtain the influence of clone types and types of manure and the interaction between clone types and types of manure on the growth of cocoa seedlings. The study was conducted in the teaching farm and the laboratory of the Politeknik Negeri Lampung from January 2017 to June 2017. The method used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial pattern consisting of two factors. The first factor is the type of clone consisting of three levels, namely K1 = TSH clone 858, K2 = ICS 60, and K3 = TSH 908. The second factor consisting of four levels namely P0 = control, P1 = chicken manure, P2 = cow manure, and P3 = goat manure. The results showed that the use of TSH 858, ICS 60, and TSH 908 clones had the same effect on all observed variables. However, the use of manure has a significant effect on each variable, but the amount of leaf chlorophyll is relatively the same between clone types and types of manure. There are interactions between clone types and types of manure.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the productive agro-industries in Indonesia, so care needs to be taken to use varieties and doses of fertilizers based on plant needs and environmental conditions. This study aimed to determine the clone, dose of urea, and the interaction between the clone and the dose for Robusta coffee plants in the mother planting stock farm. This study used a split-plot design with coffee clones as the main plot and doses of urea fertilizer as subplots. The study showed no significant difference between clones in the growth of robusta coffee plants, where clone BP 534 was the best clone for plant growth. In addition, based on the study's results, the best interaction was obtained where the best interaction for increasing the number of leaves was between clone BP 936 and a dose of 15 g.plant-1. The interaction between clones and the best dose for increasing the height and number of branches was between clone BP 936 and dose 20 g.plant-1, and the interaction between clones and the best dose for plant stem diameter was between clone BP 358 and a dose of 20 g.plant-1.

Abstract

Coffee seeds are an important planting material in coffee cultivation. Coffee germination is a complex process. One of the efforts to germinate coffee seeds is by soaking the seeds in water. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the length of time soaking seeds in water on the germination of coffee seeds, knowing the effect of the length of time soaking in rice washing water on the germination of coffee seeds, and knowing the interaction between soaking with water and soaking with rice washing water on coffee seed germination. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two factors, and was repeated three times. The results showed that water immersion had no effect on coffee seed germination, rice water immersion for 6 hours had an effect on plant height at planting age of 4 WAP and 11 WAP, and there was an interaction between water immersion time and rice water immersion time at 12 WAP planting age. The best combination is 12 hours of water immersion + 12 hours of rice washing water on wet weight of shoot and dry weight of shoot.

Abstract

Desa Sukadana Baru memiliki beberapa kelompok tani dan disatukan dalam Gabungan Kelompok Tani (Gapoktan) Cahaya Baru yang beranggotakan 25 orang. Gapoktan ini memiliki areal perkebunan rakyat sekitar 50 ha, tetapi produktivitas tanaman perkebunan lada yang dibudidayakan menurun karena jarang dilakukan pemupukan. Rendahnya produktivitas lada karena pada umumnya petani lada belum intensif melakukan pemupukan sehingga produksinya rendah dan rentan serangan hama dan penyakit. Begitu juga dengan tingginya harga pupuk kimia dan juga ketersediaannya terbatas. Untuk meminimalkan kerugian yang dapat menurunkan produktivitas tanaman lada dapat dilakukan dengan teknologi pemupukan. Alternatif budidaya dengan memanfaatkan potensi yang ada, yaitu mengkomposkan legume cover crop untuk mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap pupuk kimia. Dengan melihat potensi tersebut, penerapan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mitra tentang teknologi pemupukan yang diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan produktivitas lada dan meningkatkan pendapatan warga Desa Sukadana Baru. Program penyuluhan ini akan dilaksanakan dengan ceramah dan diskusi, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan praktek pelaksanaan pangkas bentuk di lahan lada petani peserta. Untuk mengetahui keberhasilan program tersebut, akan dilakukan evaluasi awal, evaluasi proses dan evaluasi akhir. Evaluasi awal diberikan sebelum penyuluhan, bertujuan mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan dan pemahaman peserta tentang teknologi pemupukan. Selama kegiatan berlangsung, dilakukan evaluasi proses, bertujuan mengetahui keseriusan, keaktifan dan perhatian peserta terhadap seluruh materi yang diberikan. Evaluasi akhir dilakukan setelah kegiatan selesai. Evaluasi ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diterima Mitra setelah diberi penyuluhan dan pelatihan serta dampak langsung dari kegiatan tersebut.
