Abstract

This study examines the influence of lifestyle and product quality on customer loyalty, with word of mouth (WoM) as a mediating factor for Erigo products. The research focuses on YARSI University students (Batch 2016-2019) who have purchased Erigo products. It contributes to consumer behavior and marketing literature by highlighting WoM's role in fostering loyalty to local fashion brands. The sample consists of 100 respondents who purchased Erigo products 1-2 times, 3-4 times, or more than 4 times, selected through purposive sampling with a non-probability method. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings reveal that lifestyle and product quality significantly influence WoM. Lifestyle directly impacts customer loyalty, while product quality does not. WoM strongly affects customer loyalty and mediates the relationship between both lifestyle and product quality with loyalty. These results emphasize WoM's critical role in enhancing loyalty, reinforcing the importance of targeting lifestyle alignment and product quality in Erigo’s marketing strategies. By leveraging WoM effectively, Erigo can strengthen customer retention and advocacy among its student consumer base.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of transformational and transactional leadership on employee performance, with work motivation acting as a mediating variable. Conducted at The Acacia Hotel Jakarta, a four-star hotel established on June 21, 1996, the research involved 60 employees. A quantitative approach was used, utilizing questionnaires distributed to all employees through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using WarpPLS Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings revealed that transactional leadership positively influences employee performance, while transformational leadership negatively impacts it. Moreover, transactional leadership negatively affects work motivation, whereas transformational leadership has a positive influence on it. Interestingly, work motivation does not significantly affect employee performance and does not mediate the relationship between either leadership style and employee performance. These results suggest that while transactional leadership can drive performance directly, it may reduce motivation. On the other hand, transformational leadership boosts motivation but may not translate into improved performance. This highlights a critical consideration for managers in balancing leadership styles to enhance both motivation and performance. Understanding the complex dynamics between leadership, motivation, and performance can help organizations formulate more effective management strategies.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to empower PKK and Posyandu cadres in Mandalamekar Village through the development of creative economy activities based on Budikdamber (fish farming in buckets). This method was chosen because it is practical, space-saving, and economical, while also providing opportunities to increase household income and supply protein sources for toddlers and pregnant women through the Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) as an effort to reduce stunting rates. The program was carried out on Friday, August 3, 2024, at the Mandalamekar Village Hall, involving PKK and Posyandu cadres, village officials, and local residents. The activities included technical training on catfish farming, nutrition education, and assistance in processing fish products into value-added items such as nuggets and shredded catfish (abon). The program’s success indicators include active participation of participants, the adoption of Budikdamber practices at the household level, improved nutritional knowledge, and the utilization of harvests for PMT at the Posyandu. In the long term, this program is expected to foster an independent community based on creative economic activities that support family welfare improvement and sustainable stunting reduction, thereby serving as a model for integrated village empowerment combining both health and economic aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of corporate characteristics on the company's capital structure, which plays a fundamental role in the proportion of debt and equity financing risks. The research method used is purposive sampling. This research's population is non-financial issuers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with quarterly data for the period of 2010-2017. The analysis is performed using panel data with six independent variables and two control variables. The results of this study indicate that profitability and institutional ownership have a negative effect on capital structure. In contrast, market ratios, firm size, and managerial ownership have a positive effect on capital structure.
