Abstract

Quality human resources is one of the key factors for business success. Based on the data obtained, the performance of employees at PT. Sianyu Perkasa Semarang had a decrease in its business, especially in the annual sales department and the attendance of its employees. From these problems, it appears to be related to increasing employee work discipline related to work motivation and the work satisfaction. Related, decreased work discipline ultimately increases the decline in employee performance. This study aims to determine the influence of work motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance through work discipline as an intervening variable. The type of research is explanatory research. The sample used were 72 respondents who are employees at PT. Sianyu Perkasa Semarang. The datas are collected by questionnaire with a Likert measurement scale. The results of this study show that: (1) there is a significant effect of motivation on the work discipline of PT. Sianyu Perkasa with a calculated T value  4,258> T table 1,293; (2) there is a significant effect of job satisfaction on the work discipline of PT. Sianyu Perkasa with T count 6.201> T table 1,293; (3) there is a significant effect of work motivation and job satisfaction on the work discipline of PT. Sianyu Perkasa with F count  22.126> F table 2.72; (4) there is an effect of work motivation on the employees performance of PT. Sianyu Perkasa with T count 6.195> T table 1,293; (5) there is a significant effect of job satisfaction on employee performance with a calculated T value 7.646> T table 1,293; (6) there is a significant effect of work discipline on the employees performance with calculated T value  7.133> T table 1,293; (7) the influence of work motivation, job satisfaction and work discipline on employee performance with F count 35.208> F table 2.38; (8) based on the work motivation sobel test that affects employee performance through work discipline, has a calculated T value (3.27554686)> T table (1.99444); (9) job satisfaction that affects employee performance through work discipline, has T count (3.275039761)> T table (1.99444).

Abstract

Marketing performance reflects the company's success in the face of stiff competition. One of the factors that affect the marketing performance is competitive advantage. Competitive advantage itself is affected by market orientation and services innovation. Non-star hotels in Semarang has a low occupancy rate in conditions of intense competition. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of market orientation and service innovation to marketing performance through competitive advantage at the non-star hotel in the city of Semarang. The study uses a quantitative approach. This type of research is explanatory. With the number of respondents are 50 hotels. Data were obtained through a questionnaire instrument with tools of analysis, SPSS version 17.0. The results showed that the market orientation and service innovation affect the marketing performance through competitive advantage. Market orientation has a greater influence than the service innovation. Competitive advantage is a full mediating variables for market orientation and services innovation. Suggestions for the company to further enhance attention to services innovation based on market information obtained so that the marketing performance of non-star hotels in Semarang can be improved.

Abstract

This research motivated by the development of transportation business nowadays which harder because of the increasing of competitors. Transportation service company expect the high loyalty from the customer but in fact, the customer’s loyalty is still low. As well as happened to the kind of transportation service like Bejeu Jepara Semarang-Jepara route Travel.The aim of this study was to determine the effect of service quality, price and satisfaction toward transportation service customer’s loyalty of PO. Bejeu Jepara, Semarang-Jepara route. About 100 samples of respondents required and sample collection technique used was purposive sample. Data was analyzed using SPSS 20.0 which previously was conducted validity test, reliability, correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis also Sobel test.The result showed that service quality and prices had an effect toward satisfaction so could influence the customer’s loyalty.The suggestion was PO Bejeu could improve the quality by repair the waiting room and depart according to the schedule so could arrive at the destination on time. Otherwise, in price determining, PO Bejeu was suggested to give discount or ticket price reduction on certain days so the low purchasing customer could use it.

Abstract

People nowadays always looking out for the fast, efficient and comfortable transportation to travel from one place to other. One of the transportation that matched with the criteria already being mentioned is railway transportation and PT. Kereta Api (Persero) is a state-owned facilities and infrastructure that manages the railway transportation in Indonesia. To compete against the other transportation company, PT Kereta Api Indonesia especially in DAOP IV Semarang has already offered an executive class train for the passenger who wants to feel the comfort, and the product name is Argo Sindoro. The argo sindoro is an effort from PT KAI DAOP IV Semarang to boost customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. The aims of this study is to identify the effects of price and service quality to customer loyalty through customer satisfaction. The type of this research is explanatory research. Sampling techniques using purposive and accidental sampling. Population of this research is the passengers of Argo Sindoro train. The data was analyzed using SPSS 21.0 for Windows.

Abstract

Go-Jek is a new start up company with a very significant development. But it has not yet been able to satisfycustomers. The fact is evident from the high consumer complaints at the company.The purpose of doing research is to know the influence of service quality on customer loyalty throughcustomer satisfaction Go-Jek in Semarang. The sample in this study amounted to 100 respondents usingpurposive sampling method. Analysis of the data in this study using a test validity, reliability, linear regressionanalysis, significance test and determination with SPSS 23. The influence of mediation evidenced by Sobelmethod and path analysis. The result of this study indicate that (a) service quality significantly influence tocustomer satisfaction. (b) Service quality significantly influence to customer loyalty. (c) Customer satisfactionsignificantly influence to customer loyalty. (d) Service quality significantly infuence to customer loyalty throughcustomer satisfaction. The suggestions for improving service quality on the dimensions of responsiveness andassurance to improve customer satisfaction and maintain customer loyalty.

Abstract

Inflation, exchange rate, and price are the keys to achieve sales turnover of a company. ToyotaKijang Innova Type G is a multipurpose vehicle which is popular in demand because it isfunctional and still affordable. Toyota Innova is PT Astra Motor’s product is the result ofcooperation between PT Astra International and PT Toyota Motor Corporation. The successful of acompany can be measured by many things. One of those things is sales turnover. That is why weneed to analyze economic factors that influence price to make sales target and determine the stepsto control the market.This type of research is using explanatory research in 2010 until 2015 with 72 data inmonth for every variable. The data is collected by primary and secondary method. Simple linearregression, multiple linear regression, path analysis, and Sobel method are used for the analysiswith PASW Program 18.0.The result shows that inflation and exchange rate have partial and simultaneouseffect to sales turnover by the price of Toyota Kijang Innova Type G. Exchange rate variablehas greater effect than inflation. Price has become partial mediation variable for inflation andexchange rate.Business agents and the government are suggested to take care of economic stabilityand improve economy growth to keep inflation and exchange rate stable, so that the price stillaffordable for consumers.The suggestions are for business agent and the government should take care ofeconomic stability and improve economy growth to keep inflation and exchange rate stable, so theprice still affordable for consumers.

Abstract

The rapid development of capital markets are now attracting the attention of people and capital owners to invest in capital markets. During the year 2013-2016 the average stock price of the textile and garment enterprises sub-sector experienced a fluctuating condition. The financial ratios that are suspected to affect the ups and downs of stock prices are ROA and EPS. The population of this research are 15 Textile and Garment Sub-Sector Companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2016. The analysis technique used is linear regression analysis with SPSS program. This study aims to determine the effect of ROA on stock prices through EPS as a mediator. The results showed that ROA has no significant effect on stock prices, but ROA has a significant influence on the mediation variable that is EPS. EPS variable has positive and significant effect to stock price. ROA and EPS have a significant effect on stock prices. EPS is fully mediated variable and can significantly mediate the relationship between ROA and stock prices. Based on the analysis results, can be concluded that the variables that affect the stock price is EPS, while the ROA variable does not affect the stock price. As well as EPS variables can mediated the relationship between ROA and stock prices. The results of this research, it is expected the company further increase the profitability of the company in order to increase the stock price so that it can give benefit the company and investors.

Abstract

Sun Star Motor is a company engaged in the automotive field is a car dealer of Mitsubishi brand. PT. SunStar Motor Banyumanik Semarang has its own place in the hearts of the loyal customers. However, the advantagesoffered by this restaurant is considered suboptimal. Many of the complaints submitted by consumers among others,the parking area facilities, service quality, price, as well as other services are less than satisfactory for consumers.So it will obviously be able to influence purchasing decisions.The aims of this study was to determine the influence of service quality, price, and location oncustomers'decision to use car service in PT. Sun Star Motor Banyumanik Semarang. The type of this research wasexplanatory research. Population in this research were the customers of PT. Sun Star Motor Banyumanik Semarangand the number of samples were 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this study was using a non-probabilitysampling with purposive sampling technique. The analytical method used was cross tabulation, correlation,determination, simple linear regression, multiple, t test and F test with SPSS version 20.Based on the survey results revealed that the service quality, price, and location have a significant effect oncustomers'decisions to use service car, either partially or simultaneously. Independent variables that have thebiggest influence on purchasing decisions was the variable of location.The advice can be given that maintain and even improve the quality of quality service to always payattention to consumer needs and desires of diverse, maintaining price stability in order to keep consumers loyal,while maintaining access to the site in order to stay within easy reach of consumers, so that consumers do nottrouble to the location, as well as improving the overall service of other services that consumers find it appropriateto make a purchase decision, repurchase, and they can recommend this place to other people.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of CR and DER on stock price with ROE and ROA as intervening variable in food and beverages companies listed in BEI period 2013 - 2017. CR represents liquidity ratio, DER represents leverage ratio ROE and ROA represent profitability ratios. Stock Price used in this research is the closing price. This research uses quantitative method and explanatory research type. In this research there are 8 companies taken as research unit. The data in this research were taken from IDX. Data analysis in this study used multiple linear regression analysis and sobel test used to test the influence of mediation from intervening variable. The results of this research show that in partial CR and DER have a significant effect to ROE. CR have a significant effect to ROA, while DER have an effect and not significant to ROA. CR, ROE and ROA have a significant effect on Stock Price, while DER have an effect and not significant to Stock Price. The test results of the influence of mediation, ROE and ROA can mediate the effect of CR on Stock Price significantly. Then ROE and ROA can mediate the effect of DER on Stock Price but not significant.

Abstract

Sariayu is one of the brands that creates beauty care products and has been around for decades. There are many new local product whose quality is just as good as previous products. Sariayu has a significant decrease in sales in the past year. Sariayu also didn’t occupy the position as one of the list of favorite local cosmetic brands in Indonesia for the past 3 years. This study aims to determine the effect of brand image and brand trust on purchasing decisions through buying interest as an intervening variable. This type of research is explanatory research and sampling uses nonprobability sampling techniques, purposive sampling method. Data collection using questionnaires and google form. The sample used was 100 respondents Sariayu users in the city of Semarang. This study uses quantitative analysis with validity, reliability, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple and multiple regression, significance of the t test and F test, and sobel analysis to test the effect of intervening variable. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence on brand image and brand trust on buying interest, brand image and brand trust on purchasing decisions, and positive and significant influence of buying interest on purchasing decisions. Based on the sobel test results, buying interest can partially mediate the influence of brand image on purchasing decisions and can partially mediate the influence of brand trust on purchasing decisions. Suggestions for this research are that Sariayu further enhances the visualization of advertisements and adds variety to its products
