Abstract

Jember is an area in East Java province with dense population and diverse cultures and has characteristics in its communities. In addition, Jember has a variety of social problems including unemployment, crime, poor education, as well as cases of infectious diseases that cause sufferers to experience social dysfunctions such as leprosy. Leprosy leads to social problem such as stigma and discrimination in the community. The stigma of disease which is identical with the poor is a big social problem, from exclusion to getting no job. The research was conducted in the Jenggawah village, Jember Regency. The researchers’ reason to choose the village was because it was the leprosy endemic area. The research was designed as a qualitative research. The research results described that PerMaTa organization built trust by improving trust between members, members and board, as well as their partners. PerMaTa built a social network by establishing trust with the public through information media, as well as creating a norm by balancing the rights and obligations of all members. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced were lack of human resources support due to low education, lack of openness among its members, as well as lack of members’ awareness of the association. The conclusion of this research is that PerMaTa as the process of empowerment of people who ever experienced and are suffering leprosy is conducted and organized by a social organization in order to gain a proper living for themselves or others. Abstract

The existence of the orange plantation at Gadingrejo Village, Umbulsari District, Jember Regency has attracted all the capitalist to do an investment. Usually, they’re doing investment to do the rented land and to sell their crops to the middlemen or wholesalers. Because currently, the market for direct agriculture is done on the agricultural land which is through the land rent. The land rent system which is an investment form of all the capitalist has created a new position on the land rent system and that is a broker and the confidant. The presence of both local & foreign tenant has created capital decomposition which later would also be followed by the manpower decomposition. Actually, in Gadingrejo Village, the possibilities of the occurrence of the manpower decomposition have been found. And there were 17 possibilities of it. These condition that the Gadingrejo Village peoples called welfare. And these conditions were different from Scott’s research condition, where Scott saw the deterioration of the farmer caused by the presence of the capitalist. And because of that, as the results the manpower got decreased, it creates unemployment and also there were three kinds of land tenant positions. Abstract

The books “Indonesian Gastronomy Volumes 1 and 2,” written by Professor Murdijati-Gardjito and colleagues, are interesting because they are among the first gastronomic books authored by experts in Food Science and Technology. While representing a coherent work, the two volumes focus on different aspects. The first one explains aspects of Indonesian culinary history at the national and global levels, including the changes that have taken place in the contemporary era. The second volume pays attention to the technical aspects of physical changes and chemical reactions in the food-making process. Volume 2 also describes Indonesian cuisine based on geographical location and ethnic affiliation.

Abstract

Bondowoso is a district in the Besuki Raya area, which is different fromvother areas. This district does not have a marine area, while other Besuki areas, such as Situbondo, Jember, and Banyuwangi districts have coastaland marine areas. Under these conditions, the tourism development program is focused on the potential that exists on the mainland. In order to make Bondowoso Regency a tourist destination that can attract tourists, both domestic and foreign, the Bondowoso Regency government has created a potential and attractiveness development program, through the decision of the Bondowoso Regent, Number 83 of 2016. The Department of Tourism, Youth and Sports to oversee the realization of Bondowoso Regency to become a leading destination, by developing tourism programs based on its local potential. Several tourism destination development programs have been realized by continuing to improve the various infrastructure and facilities needed. This is intended to make it easier for tourists to visit various potential tourist destinations in Bondowoso Regency.

Abstract

Abstract This article focuses on mangrove ecotourism in Wringinputih Village, Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency.Wringinputih Village, is a new ecotourism destination that is very attractive to both local and foreign tourists.This is related to the success of mangrove forest conservation carried out by coastal communities through community empowerment and their active participation.Through a bottom - up model and managed based on local wisdom by involving as many coastal communities as possible, finally various touirsm objects based on mangrove forests in Wringinputih Village can be realized and become a potential and attractive alternative tourist destination that is visited by many tourists.With qualitative methods and in-depth interviews with tourist managers, community leaders, and tourists in the village, there is enough data to explain this tourist village destination.As a result, Wringinputih village has become some attractions for potential ecotourism based on mangrove forests and others objects developed by local communities and has brought in local and foreign tourists so that it’s can accelerate activities and open employment opportunities for the community and increase their income. Abstract

The problem of drugs has become a global issue and is a problem in many countries. This shows that drug crime has become a transnational and dangerous activity. The condition of drug abuse and illicit trafficking has now penetrated to the rural level, and has even spread to remote villages. With a government program that focuses on the welfare of rural communities and has an impact on improving the village economy, it turns out that the village is a potential market for drug dealers. This study aims to determine the role of the National Narcotics Agency in reducing Drug Abuse through Community-Based Interventions. This research uses descriptive research type and qualitative research approach. Determination of the research location using a purposive area technique. The technique of determining the informants used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation. Techniques for systematic data analysis are data collection, data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. In this study, researchers used the technique of data validity triangulation of sources The results showed that the role of the National Narcotics Agency in Reducing Drug Abusers through Community-Based Interventions included: 1. The National Narcotics Agency played a role in the initial formation of the Community-Based Intervention Program, 2. The National Narcotics Agency played a role in providing assistance to face various obstacles, 3 The National Narcotics Agency plays a role in facilitation, namely providing motivation and support, 4. The National Narcotics Agency plays a role in initial monitoring and final monitoring to record weaknesses and problems encountered, 5. The National Narcotics Agency plays a role in evaluation to find out whether the program or activity is achieving results desired or not as a consideration in making decisions regarding program planning and program implementation.

Abstract

Leprosy has various implications for sufferers starting from physical implications such as the condition of the skin changing to become rough and reddish spots appearing accompanied by decreased immunity, social implications which result in leprosy sufferers being indirectly excluded from the social system in society as well as discrimination, apart from that there are implications economically like losing your job. The condition of leprosy makes it difficult for a person to return to society even though he has been declared cured. There is a phenomenon that some people with leprosy who have experienced discrimination are able to reintegrate into the social system in society. Therefore, this research aims to describe the process of social integration of people who have experienced leprosy into society. The research method used was qualitative with a phenomenological approach on two people with leprosy who live in Cangkring Village, Jenggawah District. The results of this research state that there are two efforts to accelerate social reintegration for people who have experienced leprosy. Firstly, a strong desire based on aspects of cognition, mental and spirituality which is the main strength for a person to be able to push themselves back into society and change their perspective after experiencing leprosy. Second, social approach efforts are carried out consistently to form a communitybounding between someone who has experienced leprosy and the community in the surrounding environment. Success in the social reintegration process allows people who have experienced leprosy to be able to reintegrate into the social system and function socially as members of society such as interacting, starting a family, working and being able to overcome concerns about stigma and discrimination in the community.

Abstract

An ex-psychotic sufferer is someone who has experienced mental disorders and is declared medically cured by a Mental Hospital who has obstacles in incommunicating, socializing in the community, and has low independence. This is what makes ex-psychotic sufferers unable to carry out their social functions in the community properly and require various efforts to increase their independence through social rehabilitation activity programs. The purpose of this study is to know, analyze and describe the efforts made by UPT Social Rehabilitation Bina Laras Pasuruan in increasing the independence of ex-psychotic clients. The type of research used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Determination of the location of this study using purposive area. The informant determination technique uses purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques begin with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. Data validity techniques use triangulation of sources and methods. The results showed that there were several efforts made by UPT, namely through guidance or advanced medical therapy, physical guidance, social guidance, religious mental guidance, and skill or vocational guidance.
