Abstract

This study focuses on the social rehabilitation process of post-restraint patients at the Technical Implementation Unit for Social Rehabilitation Bina Laras (UPT RSBL) Kediri. In this research, a descriptive approach was employed with qualitative research methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using Miles and Huberman's analytical method. The study revealed five stages of social rehabilitation: intake, assessment, the rehabilitation process, evaluation, and resocialization. During the assessment stage, patients are evaluated by social workers and medical professionals to determine their condition and the subsequent rehabilitation actions. Patients engage in various rehabilitation activities that encompass physical, mental, social, spiritual, skill, and artistic aspects. Evaluation is performed to assess patient progress, and they may repeat the rehabilitation phase if necessary. Recovered patients are prepared to return to their family environment. This research provides insights into UPT RSBL Kediri's efforts to assist post-restraint patients in restoring their social function and preparing them for reintegration into society.

Abstract

PT. Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) XII, as part of its corporate social responsibility, aims to enhance economic activity in the Mount Gambir area through Agro Rengganis Tourism (WAR), with the primary goal of fostering image development through empowerment. This qualitative study seeks to identify the various motives underlying empowerment initiatives in the Mount Gambir region, employing the theory of legitimacy as its perspective. The research reveals that PTPN XII employs an independence model in its empowerment process, focusing on improving community welfare via Rengganis Agro Tourism. This model involves providing the community with the autonomy to identify and harness the potential of their natural surroundings. PTPN serves as a facilitator, offering necessary developmental support such as training and education. This approach proves effective in elevating the standard of living for the local population. However, the study highlights a notable gap in the sustainability aspect of the empowerment process. The current program tends to prioritize image-building and maintaining positive relations between PTPN XII and the community, potentially overlooking long-term sustainability efforts. Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) XII sebagai bagian dari tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan mengindikasikan motif pembangunan citra dalam bentuk pemberdayaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi beragam motif yang muncul dari kegiatan pemberdayaan di kawasan Gunung Gambir dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Perspektif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori legitimasi. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa proses pemberdayaan yang dilakukan PTPN XII untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui Wisata Agro Rengganis ditempuh dengan model kemandirian. Masyarakat diberikan ruang terbuka untuk menentukan dan mengembangkan potensi alam. PTPN berperan sebagai fasilitator yang menyediakan kebutuhan pengembangan, seperti pelatihan dan pendidikan. Mekanisme ini merupakan langkah efektif yang dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat sekitar. Meskipun demikian, upaya keberlanjutan tidak menjadi bagian dari proses pemberdayaan, sehingga program yang dijalankan bertendensi pada pembangunan citra yang tujuannya hanya untuk menjaga hubungan baik antara PTPN XII dengan masyarakat demi keberlanjutan perusahaan. Abstract

Problems regarding unmet accessibility needs and discriminatory behavior often faced by disabilities students so that they experience several physical and social obstacles. Therefore, students with disabilities need social support from their social environment, namely fellow students as peers. The purpose of this study was to describe the forms of peer social support to disabilitie students during their education at the Jember University. The research method used is qualitative with phenomenological type. Selection of research informants using purposive sampling technique and obtained 3 main informants and 3 additional informants. Research data were collected using in-depth interview techniques, non-participant observation, and documentation studies. The data analysis process uses the stages of data condensation, data display, verification and conclusions. The results showed that there are forms of peer social support for students with disabilities, including attention, accessibility assistance, social interaction, positive expressions and self-actualization which provide benefits for students with disabilities to be able to function socially and social welfare.

Abstract

Peningkatan proyek konstruksi di kawasan strategis pariwisata nasional (KSPN) Bromo Tengger Semeru membawa tantangan terkait keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) serta risiko kekerasan berbasis gender (GBV). Kurangnya pemahaman dan kepatuhan terhadap standar K3 sering menyebabkan kecelakaan kerja, sedangkan minimnya kesadaran mengenai GBV berpotensi menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang tidak kondusif. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kepatuhan pekerja konstruksi terhadap prinsip K3 serta mendorong pencegahan GBV melalui pendekatan edukatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan stakeholder, penyusunan modul sosialisasi berbasis partisipatif, serta pelaksanaan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas program. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terhadap K3 dan GBV, sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh skor pre-test dan post-test yang mengalami kenaikan sebesar 35,33%. Selain itu, komitmen bersama yang ditandatangani oleh berbagai pemangku kepentingan menegaskan pentingnya integrasi aspek keselamatan dan kesetaraan gender dalam proyek konstruksi. Berdasarkan PKM ini, didapatkan bahwa pendekatan edukatif berbasis partisipasi aktif terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran pekerja terhadap keselamatan kerja dan pencegahan GBV. Program ini tidak hanya berkontribusi pada keamanan dan kesejahteraan pekerja, tetapi juga mendukung pembangunan infrastruktur yang berkelanjutan sesuai dengan prinsip Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
