Abstract

The aplication of liquid organic fertilizer is carrid out in an effort to reduce the excessive use of inorganic fertilizers and increase the availability of soil nutriens so that plants can grow and produce optimal production. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dose banana peel liquid organic fertilizer (Musa paradisiaca) on the growth and yield of two lettuce varieties (Lactuca sativa L.) on each type of lettuce plants. This research was conducted at Baraya Garden Putra, Youngest Prince Street, Cisarua District, Sumedang Regency, West Java with an altitude of 538 meters below sea level in November 2021 – January 2022. The method used was experimental method with a factorial Randomize Block design (RBD) consisting of two factors with 8 treatments repeated 4 times. The first factor is banana peel liquid organic fertilizer wich consist of 4 levels, namely: P0 (0 ml/L), P1 (70 ml/L), P2 (90 ml/L), and P3 (110 ml/L). The second factor was lettuce varieties consisting of 2 varieties namely: V1 (new grand rapid) and V2 (red rapid). The results of the study showed that there was no interaction effect between the application of banana peel liquid organic fertilizer and the variety on all observation parameters except for the number of leaves aged 35 days after planting. No there was an independent significant effect on the type of variety treatment against all observation parameters except for the leaf area of the plantation. Red rapid variety (V2) gave the highest yield on the height parameter number of leaves, root length, fresh weight, root dry weight, and fresh root weight. Keywords: Banana Peel Liquid Organic Fertilizer, New Grand Rapid, Red Rapid

Abstract

Pakcoy (Brassica rapa chinensis L.) is a vegetable plant that is widely used in Indonesian dishes for consumption. One important factor that supports success in the production of pakcoy plants is the fertilization process. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best-combined dose of NPK and Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) compound fertilizer on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants. The research was carried out in February and March 2023 using polybags in Cigelam, Muktijaya Village, Setu District, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province. The research used an experimental method with an environmental design, namely a single factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 5 treatments, namely A (1.2 g NPK control), B (1.2 g NPK and 6 g MSG), C (1.2 g NPK and 9 g MSG), D (1.2 g NPK and 12 g MSG), and E (1.2 g NPK and 15 g MSG). Each treatment was repeated 5 times so that 25 experimental units were obtained. Observations of the data obtained were analyzed using the F test analysis with a level of 5% and further tested DMRT level of 5%. The experimental results showed that there was a significant effect on the height of the pakcoy plants at 28 HST and 35 HST, the number of leaves at 28 HST and 35 HST, and the leaf area of the pakcoy plants. The combination of NPK and MSG fertilizer in treatment B (1.2 g NPK and 6 g MSG) gave the highest results in observing plant height at 28 HST and 35 HST, number of leaves at 28 HSTand 35 HST, leaf area. Keywords: Monosodium Glutamate, NPK, Pakcoy

Abstract

Lettuce is one of the vegetable crops which has good economic value and good market prospects to be cultivated by Indonesian people. We know we had a lot of switched agricultural land that it makes our agricultural land is being decreased. A solution of this problem is usingthe hydroponic technique with wick system inside. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of te types combination and wick amount of the highest hydroponic wick system, and to obtain the highest growth and yield of Maritima variety green lettuce (Lactuca Sativa L.). A method which used in this research is Randomized Block Design (RAK) Single Factor consisting 9 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment A (Flannel Fabric + 2 Axis), B (Flannel Fabric + 3 Axis),C (Flannel Fabric + 4 Axis), D (Wool Fabric + 2 Axis), E (Wool Fabric + 3 Axis), F (Wool Fabric + 4 Axis),G (Coconut Coir + 2 Axis), H (Coconut Coir + 3 Axis) and I (Coconut Coir + 4 Axis). The impact of treatment being analyzed using the F test at a significant 5% level, to find out the best treatment it was continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% level. The results showed that the type and number of axes significantly affected the growth and development of lettuce (Lactuca Sativa L.). Treatment F (Wool Fabric + 4 Axis) gave the highest yield of plant height at 42 hst was 18.80 cm, number of leaves at 42 hst was 14.53 leaves, leaf area at 42 hst was 154.54 cm2and weight fresh fruit per plant at 42 hst was 137.28 g.Key words: Lettuce, Axis Type, and Number of Axis.

Abstract

The neednutrients in the soil isimportantfor the successful growth and yield of soybean. Organic fertilizer of merang mushroom waste and types of biological fertilizers are one of the efforts to improve soil fertility and provide sufficient nutrients in the soil. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction between organic fertilizer of merang mushroom and type of biological fertilizers on the growth and yield of soybean plants (Glycine maxL. Merril) Grobogan Variety. This research was conducted at Experimental Farm of the Campus 1 Faculty of Agriculture, Singaperbangsa University of Karawang, located in Puseurjaya Village, East Telukjambe Subdistrict, Karawang Distric, West Januari. The experiment was conducted from Januari  to April 2024. The research method was used randomized block design (RBD), factorial with two factors. The first factor was the application of organic fertilizer of merang mushroom waste (M) with 3 levels, The second factor was the application of biological fertilizer (P) with 4 levels. There were 12 treatments that will be 3 replications, so there were 36 experimental units. Each unit has 3 sampleplants. The effect of treatment was analyzed by analyzed of variance and if the F test at 5% level was significant, then DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). The results showed that there where interaction between organic fertilizer of merang mushroom waste and the type of biofertilizer on the parameters of plant height  14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 days after planting (dap), number of trifoliate leaves  21, 28, 35 and 42 dap, stem diameter 42 dap, root length, root nodules, number of pods,  the number of seeds, but they were not interaction on the parameters of root wet weight, root dry weight, seed weight per 100 grains and yield of seed weight. Keywords: soybean, nutrient, organic fertilizer, biofertilizer

Abstract

The low productivity of lettuce is caused by the declining quality of soil, both physically, chemically, and biologically. Improving production can be achieved through the proper application of organic fertilizers to enhance soil fertility. This study aimed to determine the effect of various concentrations of eco enzyme derived from soft fruit peels on the growth and yield of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) of the Grand Rapid variety. The research was conducted in February in Sukadami Village, South Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency. The method used was an experimental design arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a single factor, consisting of 8 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments included: C0 (control), C1 (2.5 ml/L), C2 (5 ml/L), C3 (7.5 ml/L), C4 (10 ml/L), C5 (12.5 ml/L), C6 (15 ml/L), and C7 (commercial eco enzyme at 10 ml/L). The results showed that the application of various eco enzyme concentrations did not significantly affect plant height, number of leaves, root length, or fresh plant weight based on the F-test at the 5% level. However, descriptively, treatment C6 (15 ml/L) produced the highest values across all parameters. The highest plant height at C6 was 9.43 cm (7 DAS), 15.70 cm (14 DAS), and 23.15 cm (21 DAS). The highest number of leaves was also observed in C6 at 13.86 leaves (28 DAS). Mean root length was 17.99 cm, fresh weight 36.14 g, leaf area 214.17 cm², and root weight 2.54 g. Eco enzyme at 15 ml/L showed potential to improve lettuce growth descriptively, although not statistically significant. Keywords: eco enzyme, soft fruit, lettuce
