Abstract

Background: Anxiety is a common thing that occurs in patients who will undergo surgery. The anxiety that occurs in preoperative patients can be felt from the time they are scheduled for surgery until the time of surgery arrives. Anxiety management can be done using pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. Purpose: The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of finger grip relaxation techniques and progressive muscle relaxation on anxiety in pre-caesarean section surgery patients in the Kediri Regency Regional General Hospital. Method: This study used a Quasy-experiment With Pretest Posttest to determine the effect of finger grip and progressive muscle relaxation techniques. The sample selection in this study used a purposive sampling technique and a total of 56 patients were obtained who were divided into 2 groups, namely the finger grip intervention group and the progressive muscle intervention group. The pretest and posttest data for each group were then analyzed using the Wilcoxon Test to determine the effect and the Mann-Whitney Test to compare the posttest results of the 2 groups. Results: The results of the study showed that the Wilcoxon test in both intervention groups obtained a p-value < α (0.05), which means that before and after the intervention, both progressive muscle relaxation and finger grip relaxation had an influence on the anxiety level of pre-caesarean section patients. For the results of the Mann-Whitney test, the p-value was 0.063 or p-value > α (0.05), which means there was no significant difference between changes in anxiety whether those given progressive muscle relaxation intervention or finger grip relaxation. Conclusion: Finger grip relaxation techniques and progressive muscle relaxation techniques are both effective in reducing anxiety levels in pre-caesarean section surgery patients. So this non- pharmacological therapy can be an option for patients in dealing with anxiety problems before  caesarean section surgery.

Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnancy is a condition in which the mother has a hemoglobin level below 11 gr% in the first and third trimesters, and a level below 10.5 gr% in the second trimester. Most anemia in pregnancy is caused by iron deficiency and acute bleeding. Purpose: The effectiveness of giving ambon banana, avocado and honey juice to increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Methods: True experiment with pretest and posttest control group design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling obtained a sample of 34 respondents, namely 17 control and intervention groups. Analysis using the Independent t-test. Results: The Independent t-test statistical test resulted in p=0.001<0.05, meaning there was an influence of Ambon Banana, Avocado and Honey juice on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Conclusion: Giving ambon banana, avocado and honey juice is effective in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Bananas contain iron which will stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood. Avocados have important nutrients, namely vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, iron, folic acid, potassium and quite high levels of calories and fat which are useful as a source of energy. Honey contains important minerals which help form hemoglobin.

Preparing adolescent women with adequate knowledge of reproductive health is crucial for optimizing the quality of life of adolescents in the future. Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the influence of quartet card game media education on reproductive health on knowledge in adolescents. Methods: The study uses a pre-experimental research design and one group pre-posttest design. The population in this study is the entire youth SMP YBPK Kota Kediri as many as 50 respondents, sample 24 respondents selected using accidental sampling technique. Free variables are educational media card games about reproductive health and bound variables are knowledge. Quartet card media educational instruments use SOP, and knowledge using questionnaires. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The results of the statistical tests showed that the value of Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.01 less than 0.05, then Ha is accepted, meaning there is an influence of the educational media of the quartet card game on reproductive health on knowledge in adolescents. Conclusion: Quartet media can create enjoyable learning situations that can enhance adolescent knowledge about reproductive health.
