Abstract

The objective of the research was to find out and to analyze the influence of the change in tick size on stock liquidity and the factors which influenced stock liquidity. Tick size which became the research object in this evet study was the tick size on January 6, 2014. The sources of data were secondary data from BEI and Yahoo Finance. The samples were 147 stocks before the change in tick size and 147 stocks after the change in tick size, using purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using Wilcoxon signed-rank test and regression analysis with an SPSS software program. The result of the research showed that spread and depth decreased significantly after the change in tick size. Lower spread and depth had contradictory implication on stock liquidity. Based on the dimension of immediacy cost and width, lower spread indicated that stock liquidity increased, while based on the dimension of market depth, lower depth indicated that stock liquidity decreased. In order to settlethis contradiction, the researcher used depth to spread ratio. Intuitively, this ratio measured whether the decrease in depthwas bigger or smaller that the decrease in spread. The result of Wilcoxon signed-rank test indicated that depth to spread ratio increased significantly which indicated that the decrease in depth was smaller than in spread so that it was concluded that stock liquidity increased after the change in tick size. The result of F-test showed that stock price, stock return volatility, and stock trading frequency simultaneously had significant influence on spread and depth. The result of t-test also indicated that stock price, stock return volatility, and stock trading frequency partially had significant influence on spread and depth.

Abstract

A heteroskedastic semiparametric regression model consists of two main components, i.e. parametric component and nonparametric component. The model assumes that any data (x̰ i′ , t i , y i ) follows y i = x̰ i′ β̰+ f(t i ) + σ i ε i , where i = 1,2, … , n , x̰ i′ = (1, x i1 , x i2 , … , x ir ) and t i is the predictor variable. Parameter vector β̰ = (β 1 , β 2 , … , β r ) ′ ∈ ℜ r is unknown and f(t i ) is also unknown and is assumed to be in interval of C[0,π] . Random error ε i is independent on zero mean and varianceσ 2 . Estimation of the heteroskedastic semiparametric regression model was conducted to evaluate the parametric and nonparametric components. The nonparametric component f(t i ) regression was approximated by Fourier series F(t) = bt + 12 α 0 + ∑ α k ???? ???????? kt Kk=1 . The estimation was obtained by means of Weighted Penalized Least Square (WPLS): min f∈C(0,π) {n −1 (y̰− Xβ̰−f̰) ′ W −1 (y̰− Xβ̰− f̰) + λ ∫ 2π [f ′′ (t)] 2 dt π0 } . The WPLS solution provided nonparametric component f̰̂ λ (t) = M(λ)y̰ ∗ for a matrix M(λ) and parametric component β̰̂ = [X ′ T(λ)X] −1 X ′ T(λ)y̰

Abstract

Abstract

Tesis ini mengusulkan inovasi algoritma subspace clustering based on density connection.

Abstract

Sustainable tourism development impacts on many factors, so that a dynamic model approach to tourism research becomes clear in many cases, one of which is in the development of Islamic sustainable tourism. These approaches usually look at a particular problem or the whole picture of tourism. As a result, it becomes difficult to manage tourism towards sustainability. This paper provides an overview of the systems thinking approach to systems analysis using the Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) model for sustainable Islamic tourism planning problems. This study shows that systems thinking has proven to be an effective and powerful tool for explaining the complexity of the tourism system. This has helped simplify, clarify and integrate isolated problems associated with the industry, and provided a mechanism for group learning and decision making to achieve desired results. This paper proposes systems thinking to be used as an appropriate tool for sustainable tourism development. The results of this study can describe the dynamic model of sharia tourism development with the CLD approach so that it can see the influencing factors that indicate causation. Abstract

This study aims toestimate and compare the results of the estimated parameters of the Weibull distributionusing the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The Weibull distribution used is a two-parameter Weibull distribution and a three-parameterWeibull distribution. In the GA Algorithm, there are evolution operators such as crossover and mutation. Meanwhile, in PSO algorithm doesn’t. The evolution operators that can optimize complex problems and a very wide search space Evaluation of the two method is carried out by observing the difference in the resulting fitness values.Based on the simulation data from the estimator obtained using the R program, it is found that the two-parameter Weibull distribution parameter and a three-parameterWeibull distribution using a AG algorithm are both used in this distribution. This is supported by the small difference in the fitness value of the GA algorithm obtained compared to the PSO algorithm. The sample space also affects the difference in fitness. The large the sample space, the greater the fitness.

Abstract

Robust optimization is based on the assumption that uncertain data has a convex set as well as a finite set termed uncertainty. The discussion starts with determining the robust counterpart, which is accomplished by assuming the indeterminate data set is in the form of boxes, intervals, box-intervals, ellipses, or polyhedra. In this study, the robust counterpart is characterized by a box-interval uncertainty set. Robust counterpart formulation is also associated with master and subproblems. Robust Benders decomposition is applied to address problems with convex goals and quasiconvex constraints in robust optimization. For all data parameters, this method is used to determine the best resilient solution in the feasible region. A manual example of this problem's calculation is provided, and the process is continued using production and operations management–quantitative methods (POM-QM) software.
