Abstract

One way to isolate essential oils from essential oil-producing plants is by distillation. Distillation is the separation of components in the form of a liquid consisting of two or more kinds of mixtures based on differences in boiling points. The process is carried out on essential oils that are not soluble in water. The distillation process that has been used so far is by using steam and water, because the equipment construction is cheaper and simpler. However, steam and water distillation has a disadvantage, namely that it requires more water vapor. This will result in a certain amount of steam condensing in the plant tissue so that the material will get wetter so that it will increase the use of fuel and will reduce the productivity of the distillation process. To overcome this, it is necessary to strive for a more effective distillation system.This research was conducted with the aim of increasing the combustion efficiency of the essential plant distillation process, namely citronella, so that it is expected to increase the productivity of the distillation. This research was carried out by changing the distillation system using the cohobation system. Boyolali.The results showed that the efficiency of the kohobasi furnace distillation system was 0.85% higher than the steam distillation system, these results were in line with the productivity level of the citronella oil distillation production process, so for the work program of the Guli Village Government it was recommended to use the kohobasi furnace distillation system

Abstract

Penyulingan adalah pemisahan komponen yang berupa cairan terdiri dari dua macam campuran atau lebih berdasarkan perbedaant itikdidih. Proses tersebut dilakukan pada minyak atsiri yang tidak larut dalam air. Pada penelitian sebelumnya telah dilakukan analisa terhadap penyulingan dengan sistem kohobasi. Sistem penyulingan ini menggunakan pendingin air yang disirkulasikan didalam alat penukar panas, dimana uap hasil penyulingan akan menjadi embun karena panasnya terserap oleh aliran air pendingin yang mengalir berlawanan arah. Proses pemompaan air pendingin dilakukan dengan menggunakan pompa air kolam berkapasitas 60 liter per menit dengan sumber arus listrik 220 AC/60 watt. Pada saat proses penyulingan dilakukan, apabila terjadi pemadaman listrik,maka proses penyulingan akan terhenti, sehingga akan merugikan proses produksi dimana pada saat sirkulasi air pendingin terhenti,maka uap hasil penyulingan tidak dapat berubah menjadi tetesan minyak. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kehandalan pada proses penyulingan tanaman atsiri yaitu sereh wangi,sehingga diharapkan akan meningkatkan produktifitas hasil penyulingan.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mendukung kegiatan agroindustri di Kecamatan Galur Kabupaten Kulon Progo.  Proses Penyulingan dengan menggunakan  energi surya untuk catu daya pompa air  pada sitem pendingin  menunjukkan tingkat kehandalam lebih baik dari pada menggunakan catu daya  dari PLN sebagai penggerak sirkulasi air. Pemanfaatan tenaga surya sebagai penggerak pompa air DC (Direct Current) pada proses sirkulasi pompa pendingin dirancang dengan menggunakan beberapa alat diantaranya: fotovoltaik 100 Wp jenis polycrystalline, DC stepdown LM 7812, serta pompa air DC 12 V.

Abstract

Sempe Arumanis, a small and medium enterprise (SME), operating in Yogyakarta and producing Sempe Arumanis, faces supply chain risks such as inaccurate orders, late supplies, and damaged raw materials. Therefore, risk management is needed to identify and mitigate the risks present in the SME. Therefore, risk identification is necessary to minimize these risks. The House of Risk (HOR) method is used to identify risks and take preventive measures. The results of the analysis revealed three high-frequency risks faced by Sempe Arumanis small and medium enterprises: a lack of historical data or accurate information, dependence on a single supplier, and restrictions on raw material purchases that disrupt operations and customer satisfaction. Risk management measures include seeking more than one supplier, routinely checking stock, labeling shelves, negotiating contracts and inventory, conducting quality checks before shipment, training in quality control, communicating between sales and warehouse teams, and implementing an integrated system.

Abstract

This study highlights the lack of comprehensive studies on UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and drone maintenance, despite numerous bibliometric studies conducted in other fields. This knowledge gap on this crucial aspect of UAV technology necessitates an in-depth analysis of the existing literature. The primary objective of this study is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of publications related to UAV/drone maintenance to map the literature, identify trends, and highlight contributions from different countries, universities, and authors. The analysis was conducted by collecting metadata from 30 years of academic publications (1994–2024) indexed in databases such as Scopus, and using VOSViewer to visualize the bibliometric network. Expected outcomes include identification of the most influential publications, authors, and journals, mapping research trends, and insights into collaboration opportunities between researchers and institutions. These findings are expected to guide future research by providing research topic recommendations to address existing literature gaps. Overall, this study offers a comprehensive overview that enriches the literature and encourages significant innovation in UAV/drone maintenance.

Abstract

The modern aviation industry is undergoing a significant transformation toward digitalized aviation systems, predictive maintenance, aviation safety, and integrated logistics management. This study aims to analyze the leverage factors in aircraft component management based on the integration of aviation technology, safety systems, reliability engineering, and the digital maintenance ecosystem. The research employs a descriptive-qualitative approach through literature review, visual framework analysis, and system integration analysis. The results indicate that the primary leverage lies in the multidisciplinary integration of industrial engineering, aviation maintenance, safety management systems, reliability engineering, and digital aviation systems. This approach produces learning and research models that are more adaptive to the needs of the modern aviation industry compared to conventional industrial engineering programs. The integration of maintenance engineering, aviation logistics, predictive maintenance, component traceability systems, and smart aviation ecosystems can enhance the relevance of research to the needs of airlines, maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) industries, aviation regulators, and the global aerospace industry.

Abstract

Every manufacturing company such as PT. XYZ always wants effective and efficient production activities, poor facility layout can result in several problems that can later disrupt production activities in manufacturing companies. This study aims to redesign the layout of production facilities and minimize transportation time and identify the causes of production obstacles. The existing layout is analyzed using the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) and Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD) methods to determine the level of importance between work stations followed by calculating the standard time of each Bomb P-500 Practice production process to determine the transportationtimeintheprocesswithresearchvalidationusing flexsimsimulation.TheresultsoftheActivityRelationshipChart (ARC) and Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD) analysis produced a proposed layout with a more effective and efficient travel distance and transportation time when compared to the initial layout with a comparison that the travel distance of the proposedlayoutis53.2%shorterwithadistancereductionof191 metersandthetotaltransportationtimeoftheproposedlayoutis 53.4% faster with a transportation time reduction of 28.01 minutes while in the simulation conducted the travel distance of theproposedlayoutis32.3%shorterwitha distancereductionof 82.03meters.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan  dengan cara meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat Padukuhan Blimbingsari dalam pengelolaan ekowisata Lembah Pelangi melalui pelatihan pemanfaatan energi terbarukan berbasis smart energy, pengelolaan wisata berkelanjutan, serta digitalisasi promosi wisata, meningkatkan pemberdayaan dalam kemampuan dalam merancang strategi pemasaran melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan intensif, meningkatkan keterampilan pengolahan makanan belum terstandar (sedikit pedagang mengaplikasikan prinsip higiene), strategi mempertahankan pasokan bahan baku dan harga fluktuasi hingga ±15 %, manajemen usaha & pemasaran. dengan memanfaatkan media sosial untuk promosi. Kegiatan ini juga mencakup pelatihan teknis instalasi dan pemeliharaan panel surya, manajemen destinasi wisata berbasis komunitas, serta penggunaan teknologi informasi untuk promosi wisata. Warga masyarakat peserta pelatihan cukup tertarik dengan materi dan pelatihan yang disampaikan.

Abstract

The Rainbow Valley Ecotourism Empowerment Program based on Smart Energy in Blimbingsari Hamlet, Caturtunggal, Depok, Sleman aims to enhance community independence through sustainable tourism management integrated with renewable energy technology, particularly solar panels, as well as the development of culinary and handicraft businesses and digital marketing strategies. Key activities include training in solar panel installation and maintenance, community-based tourism destination management, entrepreneurship, digital marketing and basic bookkeeping workshops, and training in making tables and chairs from used barrels as a form of environmentally friendly innovation. The program also emphasizes the importance of collaboration between universities, local government, and the local community to strengthen an independent, creative, and competitive tourism ecosystem. Thus, this program not only contributes to the improvement of the local economy but also supports the achievement of the SDGs for decent work, economic growth, sustainable settlements, and university KPI, namely students' off-campus experiences and the application of lecturers' research results in the community. Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat Desa Krembangan, Kulon Progo, melalui pengelolaan sampah plastik berbasis konsep Smart-Eduwisata dan ekonomi sirkular di kawasan wisata Goa Kebon. Mitra kegiatan adalah Pokdarwis Taman Tirta Wiyata yang menghadapi permasalahan penumpukan sampah plastik akibat aktivitas wisata. Peralatan utama yang digunakan dalam program ini meliputi mesin pencacah plastik, mesin oven compression plastik, cetakan pot daur ulang, serta sistem pemantauan suhu berbasis IoT menggunakan sensor Thermocouple tipe K. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahapan sosialisasi, persiapan, edukasi lingkungan, pelatihan teknis pengolahan sampah plastik, demonstrasi penggunaan alat, serta evaluasi melalui pretest–posttest dan monitoring lapangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan limbah plastik, terbentuknya produk daur ulang bernilai jual berupa pot plastik, pengurangan volume sampah plastik hingga lebih dari 70%, serta peningkatan potensi ekonomi mitra melalui pengembangan produk souvenir wisata. Pengabdian yang dilakukan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat, memperkuat ekonomi lokal, mendukung pariwisata berkelanjutan, serta mendorong terwujudnya ekosistem smart-eduwisata berbasis ekonomi sirkular yang berkelanjutan di kawasan wisata Goa Kebon.
