Abstract

Write a poem as part of the creative writing is one of language skills must be learned by junior high school students in accordance with Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP). The goal is for students to express thoughts, feelings, and pengalamnnya with a beautiful and interesting language into poetic form. Reality encountered in the classroom students are still experiencing difficulties in learning to write poetry. he results showed that the use of TMPA can enhance students ability to write poetry, both at the stage of the discovery of ideas, writing, and presentation. Increasing students ability to write poetry at the discovery stage of the idea of looking at the sight of people exiting, seriousness, courage, creativity, and cooperation of students in performing each activity step. Increasing students ability to write poetry in the writing stage is shown with enthusiasm, perseverance, creativity, cooperation, and seriousness of the students in the process of developing ideas into poetry and poetry revision process is done individually, in pairs, and with feedback from teachers. Increased capacity at this stage is also seen in poetry written products of students. Students can develop ideas into poetry, may revise the poem based on the considerations and input from friends and teachers, and students can write the poem that has been revised. Increased ability to write poetry at the stage of presentation can be seen from the seriousness, courage, sight of people exiting, perseverance, and cooperation of students in the illustration, read poetry, display, and provides an assessment of the poems on display. In terms of products, students have experienced an increase in the illustration to the poem, read to the class, displaying a poem on the wall, and provide an assessment of poetry on display.Keywords: Improvement, ability, writing, poetry, acrostic

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam tentang realisasi prinsip kesantunandalam diskusi internet di tiga grup diskusi Hindu Indonesia. Realisasi prinsip kesantunan tersebut terdiri atas pematuhan dan pelanggaran. Paradigma peneiitian ini adalah kualitatif.Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis isi pragmatik dan prosedur induktif. Data penelitian berupa kutipan-kutipan dialog dalam diskusi internet yang mengandung realisasi prinsip prinsip kesantunan. Data tersebut diperoleh dari rekaman tertulis dialog dalam diskusi internet di tiga grup diskusi Hindu Indonesia. I Iasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umumprinsip kesantunan cendcrung dipatuhi. Ini berarti mereka yang terlibat dalam diskusi internet di tiga grup diskusi Hindu Indonesia secara umum dikategorikan santun dalam berbahasa. Abstract

This study aims to gain a deep understanding of the realization of the principle of politeness in internet discussion in three Indonesian Hindu discussion group. Realization of politeness principle consists of compliance and violations. The research paradigm was qualitative. The method used was the pragmatic content analysis and inductive procedures. The research data was in the form of quotations dialogue in internet discussion that contains the realization of the principles of politeness. The data was obtained from the written record dialog in Internet discussion in three Hindu Indonesia group discussions. The results showed that in general the principle of politeness tends to be obeyed. It means that those involved in internet discussion in three Indonesian Hindu discussion group were generally considered polite in speaking.

Abstract

Low ability of students in grade 1 SMK Negeri 1 Watubangga in speaking due to less effective and interestingly learning to speak are implemented. Therefore, it applied a creative strategy to solve problems of practical learning to speak it. The strategy is "mind mapping strategy" created by Tony Buzan. Chosen strategy was based on the theoretical and practical considerations. Theoretically, a mind mapping in accordance with the way the brain processes information so that a positive impact on the brain, whereas in practice, the mind mapping easy to implement, does not need to cost, and fun for students. In practice, the strategy mind mapping is realized in five stages of learning, namely (1) the stage of collecting the subject, (2) the stage of framing the conversation, (3) the stage of outlining the specific framework of the talks, (4) the stage of the creation of the framework of the talks, and (5 ) stage speaking from a mind map. The fifth stage was designed learning in a classroom action research (action research).

Abstract

Politeness is very important for everyone, wherever he is. The application of politeness (including language politeness) reflects the culture of a society. Given the importance of this language politeness, it should be familiarized with children from an early age. The problem of this research is how is the realization of children's language politeness at RT 09, Kelurahan Rawamangun? The purpose of this research is to reveal and explain the facts of language usage in relation to the realization of language politeness by the children at RT 09, Kelurahan Rawamangun. The theory used as the foundation in this research is Leech and Brown-Levinson's politeness theory. This study used a qualitative approach with pragmatic content analysis design. The research site is at RT 009, Kelurahan Rawamangun. The data source of this research is the children at RT 009, Kelurahan Rawamangun which is under seven years old. While the data of this research is conversations conducted by the children while playing at neighborhood. The results of this study reveals that children under seven years old still use positive politeness strategy to express their desires. In this study, it is found also violations of politeness by children. Children who are accustomed to rough language (impolite) are children of uneducated families.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of persuasive communication in shaping customer behavior within retail environments, focusing on in-store interactions between customers and retail employees. Using a qualitative approach, we employed discourse analysis to examine the verbal and non-verbal communication strategies that influence customer decision-making and purchasing behavior. Data were collected from several retail locations across Indonesia, involving in-depth observations and recordings of employee-customer exchanges. The study highlights key persuasive techniques, including the use of urgency, social proof, and personalized recommendations, all of which were found to significantly affect customer engagement, perceived value, and purchase intent. Specifically, the findings reveal that communication strategies that align with customer interests and build a sense of urgency were most effective in encouraging immediate purchases. Moreover, the study identifies contextual factors, such as cultural nuances and the role of trust in the Indonesian retail context, that mediate the effectiveness of these persuasive techniques. These findings contribute to the broader understanding of how persuasion operates in retail settings, particularly in non-Western cultures. The research also has practical implications, suggesting that retail managers can enhance customer engagement and boost sales by training employees in specific communication strategies that foster trust and urgency. This study provides valuable insights into how persuasive communication can be optimized to influence consumer behavior and improve retail outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi serta merevitalisasi cerita rakyat etnik Tolaki Mekongga di Kabupaten Kolaka yang mengalami penurunan eksistensi di tengah masyarakat, khususnya di kalangan generasi muda. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh adat, sesepuh masyarakat, dan pelaku budaya, serta dokumentasi dari sumber tertulis dan rekaman cerita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya sepuluh cerita rakyat yang masih dikenal dalam masyarakat dengan tingkat popularitas berbeda-beda. Dua cerita rakyat tergolong sangat populer (Konggaaha dan Asal Usul Gunung Mekongga), empat kategori populer, dua cukup populer, satu kurang populer, dan satu hampir punah. Penurunan minat generasi muda terhadap cerita rakyat disebabkan oleh terbatasnya akses terhadap media yang menarik, dominasi budaya populer modern, serta kurangnya integrasi cerita rakyat dalam kurikulum pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, strategi revitalisasi yang disarankan meliputi penyusunan buku antologi berbasis bahan ajar, digitalisasi cerita rakyat dalam bentuk video atau platform interaktif, serta integrasi dalam sistem pendidikan lokal. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pelestarian cerita rakyat memerlukan kolaborasi antara masyarakat, lembaga pendidikan, dan pemerintah daerah dengan dukungan teknologi digital yang sesuai perkembangan zaman.
