Perempuan dan laki-laki memiliki kesetaraan, sehingga perempuan dan laki-lakiÂ mempunyai kesempatan, akses serta peluang yang sama sebagai sumber daya pembangunan. Kesetaraan merupakan target yang harus dicapai dalam tujuan pembangunan nasional jangka menengah dan jangka panjang maupunÂ Millenium Development Goal (MDGs). PerempuanÂ tidak hanya menjadi pengguna hasil pembangunan, namun juga ikut berperan melaksanakan dan berpartisipasi di segenap aspek pembangunan bangsa. Usaha-usaha pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan perempuan dengan cara pemberdayaan, yang mengandung arti meningkatkan kualitas dan peran perempuan disegala bidang pembanguan. Program kesetaraan gender yang mengintegrasikan gender dalam arus pembangunanÂ menempatkan perempuan sebagai subyek pembangunan. Hal iniÂ merupakan peluang bagi perempuan untuk berkiprah lebih luas dalam menunjukan potensi diri. PerempuanÂ Â memiliki peran-peranÂ yang strategis dalam mendorong pembagunan yakni sebagai manajer rumah tanngga, sebagai pelaku ekonomi dan sebagai perempuan karier. Tantangan yang dihadapi perempuanÂ dalam melaksanakan perannya di era digital bagaimana mengubah pandangan permisif masyarakat dan praktek budaya yang membatasi kemajuan perempuan

Pelatihan social entrepeneurship merupakan salah satu cara untuk menjawab masalah social ekonomi masyarakat pinggiran di kota. Sasaran utama dari kegiatan ini adalah para pemuda dari karangtaruna di daerah Tandes, Surabaya Barat. Strategi dan metode yang dipraktikkan dalam pelatihan ini adalah pemberian materi dengan ceramah, diskusi dan melihat video inspirasi dari Youtube. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan wawasan dan ketrampilan berpikir para pemuda agar lebih berdaya secara sosial. Lebih dari itu, harapannya dengan memberikan wawasan mengenai social entrepeneurship dapat menjadi modal awal untuk menjadi mewujudkan kemandirian dari masyarakat khususnya di daerah pinggiran kota melalui usaha melakukan perubahan berbasis social ekonomi.

This article discuses on policy evaluation research of publication at ITS campus. More specifically, concerning international publications in the aspect of Social Humanities. It is because universities are now required to pay attention to multidisciplinary studies that enable research institutions to seize opportunities and overcome challenges influenced by many factors, aspects, and approaches. Therefore, understanding and conducting a more comprehensive policy evaluation is always essential to do. In this case, policy evaluation is seen as a simple way of evaluation. From the achievements of research and international publications that have been carried out or have been produced. What are the supporting and inhibiting factors of internationally reputable publication activities carried out on the ITS Surabaya campus? The study results show that ITS lecturers' achievements and contributions in international publications in the social and humanities field should be appreciated and supported by systematic, comprehensive, and sustainable policies. The reason is, seeing the number of lecturers in the social and humanities field is also not small, although not too many. Therefore, solutions for making research-based policies in the social and humanities field need to be improved. It is the key to supporting the publication step. Without a research policy, the publication will be challenging to do in an organized and sustainable manner. Obstacles exist from internal and external that can be understood by relevant stakeholders to take alternative steps to solve them through collaboration and synergy in publications.

Marine tourism is one of several economic drivers which contribute to local community livelihood and regional income. Many potential coastal areas are gradually developing and transformed by its’ local communities into local-scale tourisms which accommodate local or domestic or surrounding tourists’ recreational needs. However, to be sustainable, there are many issues need to be addressed. The study intends to explore Dalegan community perceived tourism issue in developing their WPP destination or white sand tourism. The study adopts qualitative method in gathering and analyzing the data. The data are gathered through Dalegan community dialog or interactive session during Dalegan community service program. The collected data are interpreted by implementing thematic analysis. The study reveals that there are three main issues faced by Dalegan local communities: financial, creativity and lack of legal procedures. The collaboration of financial service agents, educational institutions, (local) government bodies and local community inclusion is needed. The study demonstrates that to build Dalegan marine tourism, local/community leadership, local human quality improvement, local resources identification and local culture need to be used as the development grounds. The study also shows that the local community is still not aware of the environmental issues and diversification of recreational activities. Thus, local community still needs advocacy to understand the relationship between tourism and environment. The study also finds that local women are valuable human resource for marine tourism business. They are potential women entrepreneurs who develop small business around WPP marine tourism.

Perkembangan dunia yang begitu cepat menuntut manusia untuk memiliki kemampuan yang adaptif agar mampu untuk bertahan di tengah perkembangan digital. Di dalam dunia bisnis, jumlah wirausaha Indonesia dinilai masih rendah. Hal itu disebabkan karena mentalitas masyarakat yang tidak memiliki jiwa wirausaha. Oleh karena itu, Tim Pengabdian Departemen Studi Pembangunan ITS melakukan pengabdian masyarakat dengan tujuan menciptakan dan menumbuhkan minat wirasusaha berbasis online pada komunitas pemuda Karang Taruna RT 3 RW 3 Kelurahan Keputih. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode Focus Group Discussion (FGD), pemantauan serta evaluasi hasil kegiatan untuk mengamati bagaimana perubahan perilaku pemuda karang taruna dalam mengembangkan bisnis online. Pola bisnis yang diterapkan, yakni bisnis penjualan pulsa secara online. Selama durasi pengabdian yang dilakukan pada bulan Juli – September, tim pengabdian mendapatkan gambaran bagaimana perilaku bisnis di kalangan pemuda Karang Taruna, Kelurahan Keputih. Melalui berbagai kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, kami menemukan minat berjualan pulsa secara online terjadi pada pemuda yang belum menikah dan memiliki pengeluaran rumah tangga lebih dari Rp 1.000.000,00. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan bisnis online ini tepat sasaran karena ditargetkan kepada pemuda yang lebih akrab dengan teknologi dan berkeinginan meningkatkan pendapatannya.

The use of good and correct Indonesian is reduced due to the emergence of the use of new language vocabulary or what is commonly called slang. Slang is a popular type of informal language, but its adaptability poses difficulties for current natural language processing systems. This study aims to describe the use of Slang by university students in Surabaya and its impact on the use of Indonesian. Data collection used a survey to respondents. The results of the analysis show that Slang is often used by university students in Surabaya. The positive impact of the use of Slang among students is that it makes them more creative in using language that is easier to remember and pronounce. The negative impact decreases the quality of Indonesian language formalism. The use of correct Indonesian is only used in lectures as well as writing articles, papers, and other scientific works.
