Abstract

Perempuan dan laki-laki memiliki kesetaraan, sehingga perempuan dan laki-laki  mempunyai kesempatan, akses serta peluang yang sama sebagai sumber daya pembangunan. Kesetaraan merupakan target yang harus dicapai dalam tujuan pembangunan nasional jangka menengah dan jangka panjang maupun Millenium Development Goal (MDGs). Perempuan  tidak hanya menjadi pengguna hasil pembangunan, namun juga ikut berperan melaksanakan dan berpartisipasi di segenap aspek pembangunan bangsa. Usaha-usaha pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan perempuan dengan cara pemberdayaan, yang mengandung arti meningkatkan kualitas dan peran perempuan disegala bidang pembanguan. Program kesetaraan gender yang mengintegrasikan gender dalam arus pembangunan  menempatkan perempuan sebagai subyek pembangunan. Hal ini  merupakan peluang bagi perempuan untuk berkiprah lebih luas dalam menunjukan potensi diri. Perempuan   memiliki peran-peran  yang strategis dalam mendorong pembagunan yakni sebagai manajer rumah tanngga, sebagai pelaku ekonomi dan sebagai perempuan karier. Tantangan yang dihadapi perempuan  dalam melaksanakan perannya di era digital bagaimana mengubah pandangan permisif masyarakat dan praktek budaya yang membatasi kemajuan perempuan

Abstract

Discussing the urgency and relevance of civic education and religious character education from an early age has several challenges as well as opportunities. The research in this paper is qualitative with an analytical descriptive approach using documentation methods. The general objective of this study is to understand not only the urgency but also the relevance of citizenship education and religious character education from an early age in Indonesia? What are the challenges and opportunities for implementing civic education and religious character education for an early age in Indonesia? In general, strengthening civic education and religious character education from an early age in Indonesia is still important because this is part of a process that has never been completed. This is relevant to the spirit of change and sustainability from era to era. In this case, the challenges can be said to be not small. More than that, the opportunity may also be greater to be optimized for the realization of unity in diversity and the progress of the nation.

Abstract

To help universities non-academic staffs maintain their productivity amid the COVID 19 outbreak, MOOC ENAS was developed. To guarantee the eligibility of the program, through this research, ADDIE model was employed to evaluate the course plan. Step 1 and 2 out of the whole 5 steps of ADDIE were used to describe qualitatively about the course design. Using an online questionnaire, the authors received 110 responses and were able to demonstrate that the design had the quality for a good course design. This was led by the results of investigation on the participants’ background correspond to the course plan including the description and objectives. It was figured out that the design was able to accommodate the participants’ language learning demands. The course design facilitated students learning by serving their education background, their workplace origin, and their already existing language learning experience. However, the study was lacking in the generalizability. To serve this, further research is needed by adding quantitative data so that the results of the evaluation could be presented in numbers that were more accurate and elusive. Finally, in terms of design, the MOOC ENAS is quite accommodating to be further continued into development of course content, implementation, and evaluation as assigned in ADDIE Model.

Abstract

Di zaman era globalisasi ini kesempatan terbuka lebar bagi warga negara untuk memperoleh kesempatan yang sama dalam segala bidang, baik itu kaum laki-laki maupun kaum perempuan’ Jumlah kaum perempuan khususnya di Indonesia lebih banyak daripada jumlah kaum laki-laki dari total penduduk. Dengan jumlah perempuan yang demikian besar maka potensi perempuan perlu lebih diperhatikan dan diberdayakan sebagai pelaku untuk berkonstribusi dalam pembangunan bangsa kita. Perempuan sebagai hamba Allah yang lemah, memiliki peran amat besar dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat dan bernegara. Tanpanya kehidupan tidak akan berjalan semestinya. Sebab perempuan adalah pencetak generasi baru.  Apabila di muka bumi ini hanya dihuni oleh kaum laki-laki saja kehidupan mungkin sdh terhenti beribu-ribu abad yang lalu. Oleh sebab itu, perempuan tidak bias diremehkan dan diabaikan karena dibalik semua keberhasilan dan kontinuitas kehidupan di situ ada perempuan.. Peranan perempuan dalam keluarga sangat penting.  Perempuan merupakan banteng utama dalam keluarga. Peningkatan kualitas  sumber daya manusia  dimulai dari peran perempuan dalam memberikan pendidikan kepada anaknya sebagai generasi penerus bangsa. Keluarga merupakan awal pendidikan dasar. Dengan demikian jika dikelompok terkecil (keluarga) sudah bagus nanti akan merambah ke lingkungan  masyarakat dan bangsa.

Abstract

Keluarga merupakan tempat pertama dan utama bagi pertumbuhan serta perkembangan anak. Peran dan fungsi keluarga menjadi sangat penting dalam tanggung jawab terhadap pendidikan anak. Pendidikan akan mengembangkan potensi anak menjadi suatu kompetensi, yang meliputi pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap. Keluarga merupakan tempat yang paling awal dan efektif untuk menjalankan fungsi pendidikan dalam menanamkan kejujuran, kedisiplinan, dan rasa tanggungjawab sebagai unsur dari karakter. Anak merupakan generasi penerus bangsa yang harus memiliki karakter yang kokoh agar mampu mengembangkan nilai-nilai budaya bangsa untuk menangkal penetrasi budaya asing yang kurang relevan.Setiap keluarga diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran anak, kelak dalam mengembangkan nilai-nilai budaya bangsa sebagai kekuatan dalam setiap aspek pembangunan nasional. Sumberdaya manusia yang berkarakter akan mampu mengembangkan nilai-nilai budaya bangsa dan memiliki daya saing dalam menghadapi era global.

Abstract

The closing of Doli prostitution in 2014 has been causing significant consequences for Doli community. They can no longer rely their life on economic raised from prostitution-supporting jobs. They must adapt to social and economic changes and transform themselves. In this changing process, Doli community should learn and develop some new skills to run their own home industries or develop UKMs together. Today, Doli community develops their UKMs’, changing its’ prostitution face into community with many small-scale home industries and gradually leaving their prostitution image. However, during this process, there are several issues and challenges emerge and threaten their development sustainability. Thus, this paper aims to explore several issues and challenges of Doli empowerment which may impact on their process to be self-sustained community. The study adopts qualitative research methodology. The data are collected through direct observation, focus group discussion and communication with local people. The study indicates that there are two types of alarming issues and challenges potentially obstructing Doli sustainability. The first is the UKM’s production-related issue, in which local people difficulties in managing their product, including marketing, processing, financing, staffing and distributing. The second issue is relating to social character, including competition, resistance to change. The study recommends several community educations for Doli’s UKMs: basic grounding education, practical and entrepreneurial and community character education.

Abstract

Recently, Pancasila has again become a trending topic in the national issue in Indonesia. Studies on the relationship between civic education, Pancasila, and religious character are still rarely carried out. However, it is realized that it is essential to support an intelligent society's realization and love harmony and peace for the nation's progress. This research is a qualitative study with a descriptive-analytical approach using a literature-based documentary method. This research's general objective is to understand the relationship between civic education, Pancasila, and religious character. This study's findings are that the relationship between Pancasila, civic education, and religious character is very close and needs to be kept in mind. Many people still agree that Pancasila does not need changes, amendments, and the like. More than that, Pancasila's practice in the world of education and the nation's life, religion, and state.

Abstract

Digitalization is a keyword in the current era of the industrial revolution. In the future, there will likely continue to be a need for the Indonesian generation to obtain various information about the values of a religious character, Pancasila, and education in facing the challenges of the digital era. Therefore, this study focuses more on what and how digitalization efforts spread religious values, Pancasila, and education through YouTube social media carried out by anyone, both the government and the community. This research is based on data and documents with a qualitative descriptive method. The study results show many socialization and information efforts through YouTube that lecturers, teachers, and various parties carry out. The effect can be seen from the response and enthusiasm of the community. Also, to understand the message of the video on YouTube.

Abstract

Indonesia is facing the digitalization era. It is making it possible to see opportunities for digitalization trends in the social, religious, and humanities. Not many are aware of this aspect which also influences the development and changes that occur in social, religious, and national life. From year to year, aspects of technology and humanities social interactions have increasingly important influences. This research is based on data, qualitative research approaches, and methods supported by digital or internet documentation sources. The essence of this research discussion is about how the social digitization trend of religion and humanities, especially in the discourse of religious moderation, Pancasila, and civic education. What is the impact of digitalization on the behavior of the community (netizens) in supporting the creation of good life order? Found several facts that cannot underestimate digital trends in the social humanities field. His contribution is extraordinary in influencing the behavior and knowledge of the people in Indonesia. Its impact is also felt in social innovation, humanities, and civic education today and in the future.

Abstract

Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) di Kota Surabaya didirikan oleh Pemerintah Kota tengah-tengah masyarakat dengan harapan masyarakat memiliki akses yang mudah terhadap sumber bacaan. Dengan demikian tujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi masyarakat dapat segera terwujud dan upaya meningkatkan indeks literasi nasional dapat meningkat. Selain berfungsi sebagai layaknya perpustakaan umum, TBM menjadi tempat belajar dan bermain anak-anak sepulang mereka dari sekolah. Diperlukan ketrampilan dan kemampuan yang memadai bagi seorang petugas TBM untuk dapat memberikan pelayanan bagi masyarakat pengunjung TBM. Petugas TBM yang direkrut oleh pemerintah Kota Surabaya dengan tugas pokok yang meliputi tugas administrasi, kepustakaan, dan tugas pengajaran. Multi tugas ini membutuhkan latar belakang pendidikan dan pengalaman yang mumpuni, akan tetapi kenyataan menunjukkan bahwa hanya 33.3% petugas TBM memiliki latar belakang pendidikan yang sesuai dengan diskripsi tugas tersebut. Mengingat peran penting petugas TBM maka diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan petugas sehingga kebutuhan literasi masyarakat dapat terlayani dengan baik. Dalam pengabdian kali, tim mencoba memperkenalkan model literasi berimbang yang telah disesuaikan dengan kondisi umum di TBM. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam dua tahapan yaitu Tahap pemotretan kondisi eksisting sehingga problematika di TBM dapat diselesaikan melalui kegiatan pengabdian; dan langkah kedua dilakukan dalam format modeling yang dapat dilanjutkan implementasinya di masing-masing TBM.
