Abstract

The increasing number of dock needs is a business opportunity that is being utilized by a company engaged in the Modular Float System or floating cubes in East Java. The company uses a Modular Float System or floating cubes made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) to be structured into an environmentally friendly floating dock. However, the floating dock business based on the Modular Float System or floating cubes is still experiencing several obstacles. The constraints experienced can cause losses for the company. This research uses the ISO 31000:2018 framework to identify potential risks and determine priority risks. Then design a strategy to mitigate the risk based on the root causes of the risk. The results of the analysis using the ISO 31000: 2018 framework found 33 sub risks from 4 risk categories. Based on the Risk Assessment, there are 4 priority sub-risks. The priority sub risks from external risk category are analyzed in order to get the root causes of their occurrence to obtain the right risk management strategy for the floating dock project.

Abstract

One of the shipyards in Madura is currently executing the tug boat Transko Gagak repair project. This project has experienced an 11-day delay due to several obstacles, including a leakage issue with the floating dock pump, resulting in a failed docking attempt, as well as delays in the procurement process. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of the ship repair project in terms of cost and time. The methods employed for analyzing thisproject's performance are Earned Value Analysis (EVA). The analysis results on the 22nd day indicate that the project's schedule performance is 0.59 (SPI < 1), indicating a delay of 38.93% from the initial planned project completion of 100%, with actual completion of 61.07% of the work. In terms of cost performance, the value is 1.47 (CPI > 1), signifying thatthe expenditures have been lower than the initial budget plan. This reduction is due to the elimination of certain work items during the project execution.

Abstract

Port operations using conventional RTG (Rubber Tyred Gantry) results in an increased operational cost burden as maintenance costs and diesel fuel prices continue to increase every year. Therefore, a power source change was made by using electrical energy through container loading and unloading equipment installation work. However, the implementation of implementation of the work raises various possibilities and risk impacts that need to be anticipated. One of them is the risk that can hinder the smooth work and cause significant delays. This research aims to determine the potential risks of work that may occur. The analysis uses the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. The results show that there are 20 potential risks with 6 of them being prioritized risks.
