Abstract

In Central Bangka, the productivity of red chili pepper remains at a low level, therefore it is necessary to increase the productivity. This study aims to analyze factors that influenced the production of red chili pepper in Central Bangka district. The study was conducted in Central Bangka District in four villages, namely Belilik, Sungkap, Keretak, and Trubus. The four villages were selected as the location of the study as the villages were the location of the national agriculture development of red chili pepper. This study used 40 red chili pepper farmers through simple random sampling.  Ordinary Least Square was used to determine the factors affected the red chili pepper production in Central Bangka. The results showed that an increase in land area, use of fungicide and the correct use of recommended seed could improve the red chili pepper production.  On the other hand, the increase use of the phosphorus fertilizer could decrease the production of red chili pepper. This study also found that the most responsive factor in increasing the production of red chili pepper was size of land.

Abstract

Lada Putih merupakan komoditas perkebunan yang berperan penting dalam kegiatan ekspor dan impor. Aspek pemasaran merupakan hal penting dalam pengusahaan perkebunan lada rakyat. Usahatani lada putih dilakukan secara berkala dan berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Bangka Barat didukung oleh potensi lada putih yang telah memiliki brand image (Muntok White Pepper). Dalam menjalankan usahatani lada putih maka perlu adanya analisis efisiensi pemasaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mendeskripsikan saluran pemasaran lada putih di Kabupaten Bangka Barat, (2) Menganalisis efisiensi pemasaran lada putih menggunakan metode market strukture, market conduct, and market performance (SCP) di Kabupaten Bangka. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan SCP. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat lima macam saluran pemasaran lada putih di Kabupaten Bangka Barat. Struktur pasar yang terbentuk dari pemasaran lada putih dominan ke pasar persaingan tidak sempurna yaitu oligopoli. Saluran IV merupakan saluran yang relatif lebih efisien di ukur berdasarkan nilai margin terkecil yakni Rp 4.000, Farmer’s share sebesar 92,59, dan R/C rasio sebesar 2,63.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis usaha pengolahan ikan segar menjadi ikan asin. Tempat dan waktu penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Rebo Kecamatan Sungailiat Kabupaten Bangka dan pada bulan September hingga Desember 2019. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus. Metode penarikan contoh menggunakan metode sensus. Metode pengolahan dan analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode analisis pendapatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat dua kelompok skala usaha berdasarkan modal. Skala usaha besar memiliki modal lebih dari 100 juta rupiah sedangkan skala usaha kecil dibawah 100 juta rupiah. Masing-masing usaha skala kecil dan skala besar layak untuk diusahakan berdasarkan indikator BEP produksi, BEP harga, BEP penerimaan dan R/C ratio.

Abstract

Pengaruh Bauran Pemasaran Terhadap Keputusan Pembelian Madu Kelulut Di Kecamatan Manggar Kabupaten Belitung Timur (Dibimbing oleh Evahelda dan Rati Purwasih). Madu kelulut merupakan hasil madu dari lebah Trigona sp. Madu kelulut mudah untuk dibudidayakan. Hal ini dikarenakan lebah madu kelulut yang tidak memiliki sengat (Stingless bee) sehingga aman untuk dibudidayakan di sekitaran lingkungan rumah, perkebunan dan pemanfaatan lahan kosong. Setiap konsumen memiliki pola perilaku konsumsi yang berbeda-beda. Oleh sebab itu, sebagai produsen supaya dapat menjual produk yang dipasarkan sampai ke pembeli perlu melakukan pendekatan terhadap konsumen dan perilakunya. Sangat penting bagi produsen untuk mengetahui pengaruh bauran pemasaran produk, harga, distribusi, promosi terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen terutama dalam persaingan produk madu kelulut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mendeskripsikan bauran pemasaran madu kelulut di Kecamatan Manggar Kabupaten Belitung Timur, (2) Menganalisis pengambilan keputusan pembelian madu kelulut oleh konsumen di Kecamatan Manggar Kabupaten Belitung Timur, Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Manggar Kabupaten Belitung Timur dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel pada penelitian sebanyak 100 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa karakteristik responden meliputi usia, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan dan pekerjaan. Bauran pemasaran di Kecamatan Manggar Kabupaten Belitung Timur telah dikategorikan baik. Proses pengambilan keputusan pembelian madu kelulut melalui lima tahapan yaitu, pengenalan kebutuhan, pencarian informasi, evaluasi alternatif, tindakan pembelian, dan pengkonsumsian produk.

Abstract

The problem of Muntok Pepper business performance continues to decline due to the inability of farmers to face price uncertainty, recognize and understand market conditions. The fact is that the number of business actors continues to grow. Competing to face changes in the business environment is necessary, so entrepreneurial farmers are needed. This study aims to look at the postharvest process carried out by Muntok Pepper farmers and analyze whether entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation are determinant factors that affect the postharvest handling process. The research method used a survey method involving 60 farmers. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), data analysis was carried out using smart Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that the postharvest handling process was significantly influenced by entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation, but entrepreneurial orientation influence was greater than market orientation. Farmers carry out postharvest handling of Muntok Pepper in two stages. 50% of farmers carry out threshing, soaking, and drying processes. 50% of farmers do not do the sorting, grading, and milling process. Farmers’ decisions in postharvest handling are more influenced by the influence of the entrepreneurial orientation of farmers. Farmers who are motivated to excel, dare to take risks, and are willing to innovate by using new production methods tend to carry out a good postharvest handling process, not only threshing, soaking, and drying but also sort and process pepper derivative products.

Abstract

The productivity of red chili in the Central Bangka Regency is still below its genetic potential, where the genetic potential of curly red chili per hectare is 200-220 quintals. This condition raises the assumption that the production of red chili in the Central Bangka Regency is not optimal. The purpose of farmers doing red chili production activities is to make a profit. Still, if the production of red chili is not optimal, it will affect the actual profits obtained by farmers. Therefore, it is important to research the optimization of red chili production in the Central Bangka Regency. This study aimed to analyze the effect of red chili production on the total cost of red chili farming and the optimal amount of red chili production by farmers in the Central Bangka Regency. The research method used is the survey method. The sampling method is simple random sampling with a sample of 34 people. The data analysis method used in this study uses inferential statistical methods. The formulation and objectives of the first research will be answered using the total cost function in cubic form. Furthermore, to answer the formulation and objectives of the second study, an analysis will be carried out using the abc formula (quadratic formula). The analysis results show that the amount of red chili production significantly affects production costs in red chili farming in Central Bangka Regency. Still, the amount of red chili production in Bangka Regency Middle is not optimal. So that farmers can achieve the optimal amount of red chili production, farmers should be able to use production inputs efficiently in their farming.
