Abstract

Dalam pandangan Ahli Sunnah para sahabat memiliki tempat yang pentingdan strategis dalam Islam; karena melalui mereka seluruh ajaran Islam yangdibawa oleh Rasulullah sampai kepada umatnya, Para Sahabat yangmenyaksikan secara langsung turunnya waktyu dengan penjelasan danpenjabaran serta penerapannya, juga menjadi bagian terpenting dari matarantai tranmisi ilmu dan wahyu dalam Islam. Karena itulah para Sahabatmenempati posisi penting di hati Ahli Sunnah. Hal ini berbeda secara totaldengan sikap Syi’ah 12 Imam; karena pengaruh doktrin Imamah yangdiyakini sebagai salah satu rukun Islam, Syi’ah 12 Imam memiliki sikapnegatif terhadap sahabat. Abstract

The debate over whether the teachings of the Imāmah Shī'ah Imāmiyah Ithnā 'Ashariyah, including the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, cannot be avoided. Both SAW the need for Imamat as a substitute for the position of the prophet in managing religion and the world. However, there are fundamental differences that cannot be tolerated, according to ahl sunnah (Sunni), Imāmah is fardhu kifayah, while according to Shī'ah Imāmiyah, it is one of the principles of faith that must be believed. This Shī'ah belief also experienced a deadlock due to the polemic whether Imam al-Ḥasan al-'Ashkari had descendants or not. This deadlock was answered by them by bringing up a new concept in aqidah, called Ghaybah. Therefore, the author sees the need to critically examine this concept of ghaybah, because it is the foundation of the building of the Imamate that is believed to be. In addition to strengthening the faith of Muslims (Sunni), this study will also examine how strong the argument for the concept of ghaybah is. Through a study of the type of library research with a descriptive-critical analysis approach, it can be concluded, first, that the concept of ghaybah does not have a strong argumentative basis. Second, the figure of Imam Mahdi who they believed was only a fictitious figure. Third, the essence of Imam Mahdi's ghaybah contradicts the hadiths of the Prophet SAW and statements of the Shi'ah scholars themselves

Abstract

Unlike the other sects, especially the Ahlussunah, Twelver Shia or the Imamiyyah havestructure as well as a unique source of knowledge; where they believe that those oftwelve Imams are as an authentic source of knowledge other than Allah and Hismessenger. Whole words, actions and decisions of the Prophet and those Imams werecodified by the authors in a book known as "al-Uşūl al-Mudawwanāt wa al-hadīthah alşughrā"or "al-Kutub al-arbaʻah". Just like "al-Kutub al-Sittah" or "al-Kutub at-Tisʻah" inthe scientific tradition of the Ahlussunah. These books of hadith are as the majorreferences after the Quran in the scientific structure of the classical Shia scholars. As asource of knowledge, the position of these four books of hadith -especially al-Kāfī- hasnot been replaced until now. The scholars' contemporary Shia still regard it as the mostauthentic source after the Quran. It can be concluded that the structure and sources ofknowledge of the scholars' contemporary Shia is not different with the structure andsources of the classical knowledge.

Abstract

The following article tries to describe the Twelve Imams’s view about the Prophet’s Companions, quoted from their trusted views. The discussion begins by describing the views of the Companions of Ahlus Sunnah scholar, followed by a view of classic and contemporary Shi’ah Scholar, and ended by a critical analize on Shi’ah sholars’ arguments. This paper is raised as the important position of the Companions in scholarly Ahlus Sunna, because they are the main connectors between the Prophet Muhammad (PBU) with his ummah. In addition, this paper is an answer for the rejection or denial of Shi’ah to the Companions’ narrations. The study results of this paper showed that a majority of the Shi’ah scholars, both classical and contemporary, have a negative view towards Companions. This negative view is the implication of the extreme concept of Imamat, which not based on strong arguments from the Qur’an, Sunnah, and ijma ‘ulama; thus making it weak.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the process of Islamization on the theory of welfare, which is presented by M. Hibatal Azizy in his book “Mendudukkan Kembali Makna Kesejateraan dalam Islam (2014)”. The intended test is carried out through the perspective of the Islamic research program of lakatosian; which is adopted from the Methodology of Scientific Research Programes by Imre Lakatos (w.1974). This research program consists of 4 steps of analysis, namely (1) finding the problem in the initial theory, (2) finding the initial paradigm, (3) shifting of paradigm and (4) building a new theory. Based on this perspective, Azizy has carried out the four steps of the analysis above and produced a welfare theory in accordance with the Islamic paradigm, which called falāh theory of welfare. An important point of his theory is theIslamic welfare includes oriented to the worldly and ukhrowi dimensions. Overall fulfillment of welfare for a Muslim can be specified in 5 aspects of life; religion, soul, reason, descent and wealth.

Abstract

The development of political thought of contemporary Syiah 12 Imams is not ended by the discourse of “Wilâyat al-Faqîh”; but actually the mullahs always try to explore and give ideas on other concepts which are considered more perfect. Using descriptive-analytical method, this research tries to reveal the dynamics of the study of Syiah political thought through the appearance of various new concepts initiated by the mullahs of the contemporary Syiah 12 Imams since Iranian Revolution and Khumaini’s lifetime till nowadays. The research has concluded that the political thought of Syiah has not been completed yet since the beginning of its appearance. Hence, the concept of “Wilâyat al-Faqîh” is not just a political theory and the last alternative to build an ideal country during “al-Ghaibah al-Kubra”, but it will continue to develop till comes near to the political concept of Ahlusunnah. This indicates that the political concept of Ahlusunnah is a well-set concept and theory of politics because it has been proven well-tested conceptually and in application, and it is also almost similar to the originality of Islamic thought and the prophetic guidance, and it is very appropriate to be applied in the future. The new ideas of the mullahs will have an important role to get Syiah closer to Ahlusunnah in the political concept after being torn apart by enmity as the consequence of the extreme thought of mysticism which infiltrates Syiah thought.

Abstract

This article aims to observe the phenomenon of individual piety in religion in Indonesia Indonesian society, which according to research results, has grown significantly over time, and it affects their social and political behavior, which he says there is no relation between the two. This study uses a descriptive analysis approach, with the conclusion: that individual piety in religion has a major influence on the formation of social goodness and politics, and vice versa. What is said that the growth of the phenomenon of piety individuals in religion does not affect the progress of Islamist-oriented parties Nationalists in getting the vote of voters is not right, because most of the voters for Nationalist Islamist oriented parties they are religious. It means, that the progress of the parties requires more effort in expanding the circle individual piety in religion, on the one hand, and presenting different approaches good humanity to attract voices from non-religious circles on the other side.

Abstract

This study discusses various pro-LGBT arguments based on QS. al-Hujurat[49]:13 and QS. al-A’raf [7]: 80-84 and QS. Hud [11]:77-82. Then, the location of their mistakes in interpreting the verse is explained by showing Muslim commentators’ views on the verses used as arguments. To find out the strength and measure the scientificity of these arguments. From this problem, this research will discuss the arguments of LGBT supporters, which are justified by the verses they quote. The method used in this research is the descriptive method and critical analysis. The results of this study can be concluded in several points; First, LGBT and homosexuals have the same conception. Second, the arguments of LGBT supporters seem compelling. Third, the arguments based on the verses of the Qur’an seem far-fetched because there is no strong argument to reject the interpretation of the mufassir. Finally, the partial understanding of LGBT supporters does not reach the essence or content of the verse

Abstract

The Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia compiled the concept of Religious Moderation based on the teachings of various official religions in Indonesia, so that Religious Moderation deserves to be called the middle ideal concept of religion and is expected to overcome extremism and radicalism in the name of religion. The term moderation used by the Ministry of Religion has historically originated from secular (non-religious) culture incorporated into the thinking of Indonesians whose majority of the population has known the term middle with wasathiyah in Islam. This is the importance problem to re-examining whether the concept of Religious Moderation compatible with the concept of wasathiyah in Islam? How is the concept of Religious Moderation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia viewed from the concept of wasatiyah in Islam?  The research method used is library research with a critical analysis approach. The results of this study include: first, moderation is not the same as wasatiyah; secondly, Religious Moderation when placing itself as a counterradicalism in the view of Islamic wasatiyah has been at another extreme with the dominance of Western thought.
