<![CDATA[This study aimed to describe the increase in reading comprehension through a jigsaw model at the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Kolaka Samaturu. The design of the study is a Classroom Action Research. This research data was process data and action outcome that obtained through observation, tests, and interviews. The data sources of this study were teachers and students. The results showed that the jigsaw model can improve the quality of learning in reading comprehension both in the aspect of learning outcomes as well as aspects of the learning process. In the aspect of the test results as well as aspects of the learning process, both showed significant improvement. In the first cycle of the obtained value of the test results of students were still more at the enough category, i.e. 53.13% of the total number of students. Similarly to aspects of the learning process, in the first cycle, only 12, or 37.5% of students who obtained excellent category. In the second cycle, an increase was in both aspects. For aspects of the test results, the majority of students were on the obtained value of the category of Good and Very Good, i.e. 87.5% of the total number of students. As for the aspects of the learning process, i.e. 32 or 100% of students gained excellent category. Thereby, it can be concluded that the jigsaw model can improve the students' reading comprehension for the students of grade VII SMP Negeri 2 Kolaka Samaturu.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by a theory that combines daily reality and the reality behind it and tries to find daily reality, but on the other hand it also tries to discover what is behind daily reality. The problem under study is how romanticism in the poems of Surat Cinta by WS Rendra. The purpose of this study is to describe romanticism in the poem Surat Cinta by WS Rendra. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data source of this research, namely the poem Surat Cinta by WS Rendra. The research instrument was the researcher himself, with data collection techniques carried out by reading and writing techniques. The technique is carried out in the following sequence (1) reading poetry, (2) recording the entire data obtained from the reading results, and (3) identifying the problem points according to the scope of the study. Data analysis techniques are processed through an expressive approach that focuses attention on the authors of literary works. The results showed that there was an equivalent and opposition in the poem Surat Cinta by WS Rendra. Equivalent can be found in aspects of love that lead to: (1) passion, (2) liking, (3) remembering and thinking in the heart, (4) distress, (5) worry, and (6) sadness. Meanwhile, the Opposition can be found in aspects of expression in the form of: (1) thoughts with feelings, (2) men with women, (3) likes with grief, and (4) sweet with bitter. Equivalent and opposition in the poem Surat Cinta by Rendra as a whole develops the integrity of meaning in poetry.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe improvements in the ability to write text reports of observations through STAD model on the seventh grade students of MTs Negeri 1 Kolaka. The research design used is Classroom Action Research. The data of this research are the process data and learning result obtained through observation, test, and field notes. The data sources of this research are teachers and students. The results showed that the ability to write text reports of observations conducted by students can be improved through STAD model. The average value of pre-action test results, that is 66.97 and on the test cycle 1 the average value of student learning outcomes rose to 74.96. Similarly, in the second cycle test, the average value of students' learning outcomes rose to 81.41. Thus, it can be concluded that the ability to write text reports of observations can be improved through STAD model.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is a descriptive study that aims to get an idea of the interest in reading short story at the students of SMP Negeri 3 Samaturu Kolaka. Overall respondents are students of class IX SMP Negeri 3 Samaturu totaling 65 people. The data collection technique used was to spread the Likert scale questionnaire to the respondents. The questionnaire contains 20-point declarations, which consisted of 13 items of positive statements and 7 negative items. The data obtained in this study were processed and analyzed by scoring and coding techniques and result showed that 4 respondents or 6.15% of respondents who have a low interest in reading; 29 respondents or 44.62% of respondents who have a moderate interest in reading; 32 respondents or 49.23% of respondents who have a high interest in reading. Based on the criteria used, interest in reading short stories of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 3 Samaturu said to be sufficient if the percentage of respondents reading interest category is being increased percentage of respondents’ categories of high interest to reach 60% or more. Therefore, the percentage of respondents reading interest categories plus the percentage of respondents currently high interest categories reached 93.85%, it was concluded that the students' interest in reading short stories at grade IX SMP Negeri 3 Samaturu Kolaka was adequate.]]>

<![CDATA[Melalui kegiatan pengabdian KKN dituntut untuk menerapkan IPTEK yang telah kita miliki. Adanya kegiatan pengabdian KKN ini diharapkan menjadi motivator dan fasilitator dari usaha pembangunan terutama di daerah pedesaan. Masyarakat dapat mendiskusikan masalah yang ada di desa dan bersama-sama mencari penyelesaian dengan partisipasi peserta KKN, terjalin kerjasama dalam proses pembangunan di desa setempat. Adapun tujuan atau target diharapkan dapat tercapai adalah teratasinya masalah-maslah dalam bidang pendidikan, bidang sarana dan prasarana, bidang keagamaan, serta bidang social yang di alami desa Mattirowalie. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan KKN dilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi dan perberdayaan dengan melibatkan pemerintah dan masyarakat secara langsung. Beberapa hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan KKN ini adalah tersedianya tenaga bantuan pengajar di SD, tersedianya sarana dan prasana desa berupapetunjuk jalan, meningkatnya semangat dalam kegiatan keagamaan, meningkatnya interaksi masyrakat dalam hal gotong rong dan bakti social.]]>

<![CDATA[SD Negeri 2 Lalombaa is one of the elementary schools in Kolaka and has become a partner in this PkM, where the literacy activities at that school are still not optimally implemented, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. So it causes students’ reading interests to be lower. The PkM team provides a solution to school partners, namely the reading literacy movement, by utilizing WhatsApp as a medium in post-pandemic literacy activities. This PkM activity was carried out in June–August 2022, carried out offline and online with the stages of activities starting with socialization; procurement of reading materials; forming and repairing reading corners; various reading activities including: making book summaries; story telling; and educational games. The target of the activity is grade 4 and grade 5 students by involving teachers. The results of the descriptive analysis (questionnaire) showed that students' reading interest before the implementation of PkM activities was in the low category (average score of 59.0), while after the implementation were in the medium category (average score of 81.11), and the results of paired sample t-test obtained a p value (sig.) of 0.000 (0.05), so it was stated that the PkM activities carried out succeeded in increasing students' reading interest. Furthermore, teachers who gave a positive response of 83.33% and parents of 82.14% (meaning above 80%). Thus, it was concluded that the mentoring of reading literacy activities by utilizing the WhatsApp application carried out by the PkM team was successfully implemented and could be applied to increase students' reading interest.]]>

<![CDATA[The school curriculum of Indonesia has changed three times over the same period since 2004. Meanwhile the new curiculum of Philippine was changed in 2012. This study attempted to compare Indonesia 2013 curriculum (K13) with Philippine curriculum K to 12 (K12) regarding their development and enacment while also uncovering the embedded cultural values and influences on both curricula. The discussion also tried to investigate how the two curricula have impacted different stakeholders involved. This research was conducted by reviewing the collated official curriculum documents published by education ministry of the two countries and analysing facts and issues emerged from related studies and articles. The study reveals that the similarity of both curricula reforms lies at the fact that both curricula are deliberately reformed in response to the actual needs of society in each country. Meanwhile, the difference might be seen from the lens of curricula purposes in which K13 was designed to strengthen social and religious values while K-12 was focused on the development of knowledge and skills. The findings suggest that Indonesian curriculum needs to be made more practical instead of being too philosophical while gradual and continuous evaluation in necessary aspects is more recommended than total reforms which tend to result in longer adaptation and transition process.]]>

<![CDATA[Communication events that occur during the learning process are characterized by speech acts that are established between the teacher and students. One form of speech acts is directive speech acts, these speech acts are used by teachers whose function is to get students to do something. The problem examined in this study is the form and function of the teacher directive speech acts in the lecture discourse of the learning model in the P2TK class. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach to the type of microetnographic research. Existing data in the form of verbal speech containing directive speech acts. Sources of research data obtained from teacher speech in the classroom. Data collection techniques in this study use the method of listening with the ability to engage in engaging, and to analyze the data, theoretically this study uses an interactive model, which is in accordance with the social context in classroom interactions (Milles and Huberman, 1992: 20), the results This research is in the form of (1) directive speech acts in the form of requests (2) directive speech acts in the form of invitations / invitations, (3) directive speech acts in the form of urges / encouragement, (4) directive speech acts in the form of questions, (5) directive speech acts in the form of orders , (6) directive speech acts in the form of prohibitions, (7) and directive speech acts in the form of allow.]]>

<![CDATA[Menciptakan kegiatan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dengan memasukkan pendekatan partisipatif ke dalam pengajaran bahasa Indonesia melalui musik dan permainan terbukti menarik. Hal ini selalu menjadi masalah bagi guru di sekolah dalam mengajar pembelajar bahasa Indonesia tanpa penguasaan literasi yang baik. Akibatnya, pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia menjadi proses yang biasa-biasa saja. Sikap terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kalangan siswa yang mengikuti pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia memang mempengaruhi cara mereka perkembangan mereka pada tahap selanjutnya. Siswa yang memiliki sikap positif dalam belajar membuat mereka lebih berhasil dibandingkan siswa yang tidak termotivsi dalam belajar bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini melibatkan 36 siswa SMP Negeri 3 yang belajar bahasa Indonesia. Para siswa ini dipercaya untuk melakukan kegiatan baik permainan interaktif maupun drama pendek untuk membangun imajinasi mereka. Sebuah survei dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan bahasa Indonesia media pengajaran ketika melakukan kegiatan. Nilai rata-rata tersebut menunjukkan adanya perubahan sikap siswa pada aspek behavioral, kognitif, dan emosional. Melalui penerapan aktivitas musik dan bermain secara tidak langsung telah meningkatkan kepercayaan diri responden dan interaksi antar teman sebaya dalam menggunakan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan santun secara lisan sepanjang semester.]]>

<![CDATA[Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini difokuskan pada pendampingan perencanaan penataan kawasan kumuh Kampung Bajo Kabupaten Kolaka yang dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif oleh Dinas Perumahan dan Kawasan Pemukiman Kabupaten Kolaka bersama Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka. Penentuan kegiatan pengabdian ini didasari oleh permintaan kolaborasi dari Dinas Perumahan dan Kawasan Pemukiman Kabupaten Kolaka kepada Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka untuk memberikan sumbangan pikiran dan tenaga di sektor pendidikan khususnya pasca pembangunan fisik penataan kawasannya. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah (1) Melakukan koordinasi dalam penyusunan dan sinkronisasi kegiatan-kegiatan dalam mendukung sektor pendidikan untuk masyarakat Kampung Bajo Anaiwoi Kabupaten Kolaka pasca pembangunan fisik penataan kawasannya, (2) 2. Melakukan pendataan warga masyarakat suku Bajo untuk menjadikan lingkungan pemukiman menjadi kawasan yang indah dan menarik guna terwujudnya misi dan prioritas pembangunan pemerintah Kabupaten Kolaka sesuai Peraturan Bupati Kolaka No. 14 Tahun 2022. Metode yang dilakukan untuk dapat menentukan dan merencanakan kegiatan-kegiatan sektor pendidikan yang tepat sesuai kebutuhan masyarakat di sana adalah (1) melakukan kunjungan secara langsung ke lokasi Kampung Bajo Anaiwoi, (2) melakukan diskusi terkait penentuan kegiatan-kegiatan pendidikan apa saja yang dapat tim pelaksana lakukan dalam mendukung dan menyukseskan kegiatan pendidikan di kalangan masyarakat Kampung Bajo Anaiwoi. Kegiatan pengabdian kolaboratif ini secara umum berhasil dengan baik. Hal-hal yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini antara lain (1) tercapainya target kolaborasi dengan pihak luar, dalam hal ini pihak pemerintah, (2) Tercapainya tujuan dalam memberikan pengabdian dan kontribusi kepada masyarakat, khususnya kepada masyarakat Kampung Bajo Anaiwoi Kabupaten Kolaka untuk memberikan hasil yang postif.]]>
