Abstract

This research aims to identify the Bajo’s local wisdom in preservation sea and coastal area in the form of teaching material in the Basic Natural Science (BNS) focused on environment preservation. The type of research is research and development. Teaching material is arranged based on the principle and procedures of developing a 4-D model, there are: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Teaching material draft validated by two matter experts, one language experts, and one design expert. Teaching material draft tried to the Language and Literature Education students with 10 people in the small group and 40 people in the large group. The average validation results were 83.73% (very good) and did not need revision. Revised sections: cover, image source, chapter display, and change the unsuitable image. The small group student trials result obtained 80.68% (good) and large groups obtained 82.95% (good). The implication of this research is as an alternative solution to maintain and enhance the local wisdom value of the Bajo’s in preserving the sea and coast through teaching materials.

Abstract

This research was based on the mismatch between the expectation of learning and the study result of IPA on Junior High School. That is why it needs efforts to improve the quality of the teaching and learning process by developing the learning instruments, which are eligible with the mean of IPA and the Graduation Competency Standard on Junior High School. The research purposed to describe the eligibility and effectiveness of the learning instrument of IPA on Junior High School, which is developed in the oriented inquiry by the virtual laboratory to practice the student's science process skills. The research is the development research that adapts the Kemp model. The development of learning instruments such as lesson plans, student worksheets, and assessment sheets. The research subject is the students of class 7 and 8, IX grade on Junior High School 5 Kendari. The implementation planning in-class uses one group pretest and post-test design and data analyzed descriptively. The research results are the learning instruments are eligible to be used, suitable student worksheets, and the student's handbook shows that the content and appearance are interesting. The lesson plan did well, and the majority of students' activity is how to solve a problem. The completeness of the results of the study are well done. Character attitude and social interactive are good. Students' response fir the learning is positive. The summarize of IPA, which is developed, is effective in practicing the science process skills for Junior High School students.

Abstract

Covid-19 Pandemic has changed our education system, especially on practicum activity. This study aims at developing a virtual laboratory system using EWB and Zoom Cloud applications in a valid, practical and effective dynamic electricity practicum as a practical solution during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this study is a modified Research and Development (RD) method consisting of identification of potential and problems, data collection, data for development, product design (draft I), validation, design revision, draft II, limited scale trial, product revision 1, draft III, broad-scale trial, product revision 2, and the final product. The trial sample in this study was class X students of SMK Negeri 2 Kendari in the Electrical Power Installation Engineering department the eligibility criteria with an internal consistency coefficient of 0.92 for the material and 0.84 for the media. After going through a validation test, the product developed is then tested on a limited and wide scale. From the results of trials on a limited scale, is was obtained that regarding the practicality value of the product 54.55% students’ responded “very support” and the rest 45.45% responded “support”, while in a large-scale trial of 77.50% students agreed on "very support” response, and 22.50% gave a “support” response. The effectiveness of the product is seen from the student's response and the classical completeness score where 100% of the students gained a practicum score of 75. Therefore, it can be concluded that Virtual Laboratory can be utilized as a learning solution during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMK Negeri 2 Kendari.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is essential in our modern society today due to many problems related to science and technology. This study aims to determine the effect of the scientific literacy approach using the discovery learning model on students' understanding of physics concepts. The method of this research is a true experimental research using post-tests only control group design. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Watubangga. The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class, which was taught with scientific literacy approach using the discovery learning model, and the control class which was taught by using the direct learning model. Sampling was carried out using a random sampling technique so that class X1 was chosen as the experimental class and X2 as the control class. The data analysis technique used was descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that students' understanding of physics concepts in the experimental class is in a good category while in the control class is in the medium category. The inferential test shows t-count t-table (6.85 1.98). This means that there is a significant difference in understanding of physics concept between the experimental and control group. This study concludes that the use of a scientific literacy approach with a discovery learning model has an effect on students' understanding of physics concepts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan gambaran hasil pre-test siswa kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas kontrol pada materi pokok suhu dan perubahannya, (2) mendeskripsikan gambaran hasil post-test siswa kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas kontrol pada materi pokok suhu dan perubahannya, (3) menentukan ada tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor rata-rata hasil pre-test siswa kelas eksperimen dengan skor rata-rata hasil pre-test siswa kelas kontrol pada materi pokok suhu dan perubahannya, (4) menentukan bahwa skor rata-rata hasil post-test siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan skor rata-rata hasil post-test kelas kontrol pada materi pokok suhu dan perubahannya, serta (5) menentukan bahwa skor rata-rata gain (peningkatan) hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik secara signifikan dbandingkan dengan skor rata-rata gain (peningkatan) hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas kontrol pada materi pokok suhu dan perubahannya. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian eksperimen kuasi. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini meliputi peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Kendari. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi aktivitas pembelajaran dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) gambaran hasil pre-test siswa kelas eksperimen pada materi pokok suhu dan perubahannya yaitu diperoleh skor maksimum 43, skor minimum 14, skor rata-rata 24,7 dan standar deviasi 6,89, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol yaitu diperoleh skor maksimum 40, skor minimum 17, skor rata-rata 27,64 dan standar deviasi 6,15, (2) gambaran hasil post-test siswa kelas eksperimen pada materi pokok suhu dan perubahannya yaitu diperoleh skor maksimum 86, skor minimum 51, skor rata-rata 62,86 dan standar deviasi 7,18, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol yaitu diperoleh skor maksimum 63, skor minimum 40, skor rata-rata 50,29 dan standar deviasi 5,89, (3) tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor rata-rata hasil pre-test siswa kelas eksperimen dengan skor rata-rata hasil pre-test siswa kelas kontrol pada materi pokok suhu dan perubahannya, (4) skor rata-rata hasil post-test siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada skor rata-rata hasil post-test siswa kelas kontrol pada materi pokok suhu dan perubahannya, (5) skor rata-rata gain (peningkatan) hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada skor rata-rata gain (peningkatan) hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas kontrol pada materi pokok suhu dan perubahnnya, yang ditunjukkan oleh skor rata-rata gain kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu sebesar 0,5 dan 0,31.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah pra-eksperimen dengan desain One-Shot Case Study yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pendekatan inkuiri pada hasil belajar fisika siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMK Pancasakti, semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. Instrumen pengumpul data yang digunakan yakni tes hasil belajar koognitif siswa dan lembar observasi kekatifan dan sikap belajar siswa untuk aspek psikomotorik dan afektif. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata hasil belajar pada aspek kognitif sebesar 78,4, pada aspek psikomotorik diperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 79.46, dan untuk aspek afektif diperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 12,71. Dari hasil analisis inferensial  untuk aspek kognitif diperoleh Zhitung = 1,46 < Ztabel = 1,64, sehingga Ho diterima dan H1 ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk aspek kognitif hasil belajar siswa berada pada kategori tinggi atau persentase siswa yang mencapai KKM > 75%.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach that aims to determine the students’ ability to apply physics concepts in junior high school by using environmental-based worksheets. The sample of this research were 31 students of class VIIIA SMP Negeri 1 Kolaka, taken by using purposive sampling method. This research was carried out in 6 meetings with the subject matter of light and optical instruments. Data collection was conducted by using observation, evaluation, and tests at the end of each teaching cycle; analyze the data through the results of quantitative analysis. The results showed that in the light material, the average score of students' application of physics concepts was 19 out of a total of 30 questions with a high percentage of students belonging to 25.80%, while for optical instruments, the average score of students' physics concept application was 21. from a total of 30 questions with a high percentage of students, 54.8%. Thus, it can be concluded that the provision of environmental-based worksheets can improve the ability of students to apply physics concepts on class VIIIA of SMP Negeri 1 Kolaka.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in physics learning outcomes after combining the Complete Sentence learning method with Giving Questions and Getting Answers to class VIII students of SMPN 1 Sampaga Kab. Mamuju. This type of research is Pre-Experimental Design with One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. The population of this study was all class VIII students of SMPN 1 Sampaga for the 2019/2020 academic year. The sample was determined using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The research instrument used was the learning achievement test instrument and student observation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential statistical data analysis. The results of the study of student learning outcomes data before using the combination of the Complete Sentence learning method with Giving Questions and Getting Answers reached an average value of 40.18. The Ministry of Education and Culture guidelines regarding the category of students' cognitive outcomes show the most significant percentage in the low sort, which is equal to 60.71%. Combining the Complete Sentence learning method with Giving Questions and Getting Answers achieves an average score of 75.54. The Ministry of Education and Culture guidelines regarding the categories of students' cognitive outcomes, which show the most significant percentage, are established in the high class, which is equal to 50.00%. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test, H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. This study concludes that this learning method effectively improves student learning outcomes in Work and energy. This research implies that applying a combination of the Complete Sentence learning method with Giving Questions and Getting Answers deserves to be considered a physics learning method in improving learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran  berbasis Ispring Suite  8 pada materi elastisitas dan hukum hooke untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Tanggetada yang valid, praktis dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (RD) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation). Produk yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini terlebih dahulu divalidasi oleh 3orang ahli dan selanjutnya, produk diujicoba  di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tanggetada untuk mengetahui kepraktisan dan keefektifan penggunaan media pembelajaran. Kepraktisan penggunaan media pembelajaran diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket respons guru dan siswa, sedangkan keefektifannya diperoleh dengan melihat peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan instrument test. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuntitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa media pembelajaran layak untuk digunakan dengan validitas sebesar 0,84 dengan kategori validitas sangat baik “Valid”, keefektifan yang dinilai dari peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan skor rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,76 dikategorikan tinggi “Efektif”, serta kepraktisan yang diperoleh dari respon guru sebesar 91% dan respon siswa sebesar 91,9% dengan kategori sangat “Praktis”, kemudian hasil pengamatan guru pada pertemuan 1 dan pertemuan 2 memperoleh penilaian dan persentase 72,5 (90,6%)  dengan kategori sangat baik “Praktis”.
