Abstract

One of the most common factors related to the failure of the practice of exclusive breastfeeding is the factor that breast milk has not come out in the first week after giving birth and the mother's view that her milk production is not enough. Breast milk production is strongly influenced by the food the mother eats. If the mother's diet regularly and adequately contains the necessary nutrients, it will affect the production of breast milk because the milk-making glands cannot work perfectly without adequate food. To form a good breast milk production, the mother's diet must meet an adequate amount of calories, protein, fat and vitamins and minerals, besides that the mother is recommended to drink more Generally, foods or vegetables that can be used as breast milk boosters are katuk leaves. Streamlining the production of breast milk, namely coleus ambonicus lour breast milk production in lau rakit village, stm Hilir District, Deli Serdang Regency in 2022. The research method is quantitative with a Quasi Experiment research type designed in a nonequivalent control group design. The study population was all breastfeeding mothers who were in the postpartum period as many as 30 people. The sample of this research is purposive sampling as many as 22 people. The results of the study using the Wilcoxon test obtained p-value = 0.010 for the intervention group and p-value = 0.564 for the control group. The conclusion is that there is an effect of giving the leaves of Bangun-bangun (Coleus ambonicus lour) on breast milk production. It is recommended to mothers who have problems with milk production to be able to use the leaves of bangun – bangun as food to expedite the production of breast milk. So that way, mothers can meet the needs of their baby's milk well.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is pain that occurs during menstruation and is often experienced by adolescents. Reduced pain can interfere with the daily activities of teenagers. Based on an initial survey conducted by researchers at SMK AL-Washliyah 9 Perbaungan on 6 students, the researchers conducted interviews with students who were experiencing dysmenorrhea, often asking permission to go to the UKS room and even going home because of the pain caused by dysmenorrhea which greatly interfered with the learning process and activities other. To overcome this, one of the non-pharmacological alternatives is Abdominal Stretching exercises that can provide a relaxing effect, so that it can be used to treat pain during menstruation. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there was a decrease in pain intensity in adolescent girls before performing Abdominal Stretching exercises and after Abdominal Stretching exercises. This type of research is pre-experimental in one group (one group pre-test and post-test). The sample of this study was taken by purposive sampling technique, namely sampling based on specified criteria. The sample in this study amounted to 22 people. This research was conducted in June 2022. Data analysis used the Saphiro Wilk test. The research instrument used was a pain observation sheet, namely the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The results showed that the average pain scale before treatment was 2.59 then reduced to 1.50 after the Abdominal Stretching exercise was performed. The calculated Z value is 4.233 and the p-value is 0.000, thus p-value<? (0.000<0.05). This shows that there is a significant difference in the dysmenorrhea pain scale of adolescent girls before and after the Abdominal Stretching exercise.

Abstract

Pregnancy hypertension is one of the largest contributors to maternal mortality and needs to be alerted and treated immediately, so that it becomes the center of great attention in improving public health. The next problem is that if this condition is not treated immediately, it can progress to more severe conditions, namely preeclampsia and eclampsia, thereby endangering the mother and unborn baby. The risk to the mother can result in permanent and severe brain damage, heart, kidney and liver damage. Meanwhile, babies are at risk of stillbirth, asphyxia, reduced blood flow to the placenta so that the baby can be born prematurely, nutrition to the fetus is disrupted, resulting in the baby being born with a low weight. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of consuming ciplukan fruit on hypertension in pregnancy. This method uses a "quasy experiment" research design with a "pretest-posttest with control group" design. The population in this study were all pregnant women in Lau Rakit Village, STM Hilir District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. Sampling was carried out by random sampling using the Cluster sampling technique. Time: The research was carried out in July – August 2023. The results of the study showed changes in the systolic and diastolic blood pressure of hypertensive pregnant women after consuming ciplukan fruit. This is shown in the p value results of 0.000 and 0.000 (<0.05). So it can be seen that there is a significant effect of consuming ciplukan fruit on reducing blood pressure in pregnant women who experience hypertension. On the other hand, in the control group, the systolic and diastolic blood pressure of hypertensive pregnant women showed that the p value was 0.095 and 0.133 (>0.05), so it can be concluded that there was no effect before and after measuring the blood pressure of hypertensive pregnant women who did not consume ciplukan fruit. Therefore, pregnancy hypertension can be immediately prevented and treated through traditional or non-pharmacological methods, namely by giving ciplukan (Physialis peruviana) fruit drinks to pregnant women with hypertension.
