Abstract

Crabs are macrobenthos with characters that are attached to or resting on a base or live on basic sediments. The role of crabs in the ecosystem includes converting nutrients and enhancing mineralization, increasing the distribution of oxygen in the soil, helping carbon life cycles, and providing natural food for various types of aquatic biota. This research was conducted in the estuary area of the Meru Betiri National Park (TNMB) Resort Bandealit. Identification results from 37 individual crabs at the Estuary Resort Bandealit Meru Betiri National Park (TNMB) obtained 5 species from 2 families (Portunidae and Sesarmidae). In the family Portunidae, there are 3 types, namely Scylla tranquebarica, Scylla paramamosain, and Scylla olivacea. Whereas in the family Sesarmidae found 2 types, namely Parasesarma pictum and Parasesarma cognatum. Keywords: Crab, Bandealit Resort, Identification

Abstract

Sponge plastic is one of the plastic wastes that is difficult to degrade. Recently research reported that Tenebrio molitor L larvae have the potential capability to degrade plastic waste. But still a lack information according to the effect of feed composition on survival, and growth of T. molitor L larvae. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of plastic feed composition on the rate of degradation of sponge plastic waste, survival, and growth of T. molitor L larvae. The method used in this study was an experimental laboratory using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and using controls and six treatments with 3 repetition times. The parameters measured in this study were survival (%), body length growth (cm/week) and body biomass (gram/week), and degradation rate (gram/week). The data obtained from the research results will be analyzed using ANOVA which is then tested by Duncan. The results showed that feed composition had a significant effect (p=0.001) on the rate of degradation of plastic sponge waste, survival (p=0.000), and growth (p=0.001) of T. molitor L larvae. degradation, survival, and growth of T. molitor L. larvae.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much the level of student care for the cleanliness of the school environment. This research is a descriptive variable research in which the type of research carried out is observation and survey research to find out the level of concern of students towards the cleanliness of the school environment. Data collection using Google Form by giving questionnaire questions to students of An-Nur Rambipuji Islamic Middle School class IX and class X MA An-Nur Rambipuji in Rambigundam Village, Rambipuji District, Jember Regency, the data collected so far are 75 respondents with 35 junior respondents and 40 MA respondents. Limited respondents because not all students can have a Handphone to be able to access the Questionnaire. Observation results are divided into two clusters namely SMP and MA Clusters. The SMP and MA clusters have not so significant differences, namely 33% of SMP students and 27% of MA students in terms of concern for the cleanliness of the school environment, the level of concern for the cleanliness of the SMP cluster school environment is lower than the MA cluster which is 33%. Overall, from all clusters the level of concern for the cleanliness of the school environment was in the unfavorable category because 29% of junior and senior high school students had a low level of concern for environmental cleanliness.

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine students' caring behavior towards cleanliness and neatness of the messy environment, especially in their classrooms. This study used a descriptive qualitative research design. This study used a population of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Mayang. The total number of class VII students in SMP Negeri 2 Mayang was 167 students. Samples taken used in this study were 124 students. The sample selection was done by a proportional random sampling method. The data collection technique used in the research was in the form of a Google form questionnaire. Based on the result, shows that 73.85% or 92 students had a good sense of environmental care because they wanted to clean the classroom when the condition was not neat, while students who were less concerned as much as 18.17% or 22 students. They still asked friends to clean the dirt in the class. For students who do not care about the environment as much as 10 students or 7.99%, because students were indifferent even though the class is dirty.

Abstract

Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) reflects the development of learning independence, self-regulation in learning, self-management ability in the learning process, and the students' ability to manage learning experiences to obtain optimal learning outcomes. The development of SRL is a process of encouraging students' activity to foster the cognition and behavior aspects that demand systematic self-regulation to achieve the learners' learning goals. Thus, reflecting on students' SRL becomes an essential and strategic aspect of being explored and developed in learning management because it is fundamental to learning success. There are three main components that must be measured, namely self, environmental, and behavior. Each of the indicators of the three components interacts with each other. The analysis of the three components (triadic analysis) in order to develop students' SRL is a very urgent aspect for educators. This study aims to conduct a triadic analysis of students' SRL in response to the learning support of the Environmental science course. The population of this study is students of 3 courses, namely: Environmental Knowledge (Biology Education Study Program), Environmental Education (History Education Study Program) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, and Environmental Sciences (History Study Program) of Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of Jember. The sample of this study was students who took the course and filled out the SRL's questionnaire in the form of a Google form distributed through social media, Whatsapp (WA). The result of this study shows that the condition of the learning environment that students respond to in the form of environmental self-regulation is on a positive average in the range above 80%. Likewise, the students' self-planning, self-efficacy, and self-evaluation responses are reflected in the form of self-regulation behavior in good condition (in the range above 80%). However, in the self-evaluation indicators, some students are inconsistent in self-planning and self-efficacy, which leads to non-achievement of the targets set.

Abstract

This research aimed at improving critical thinking and SRL (Self Regulated Learning) ability based on STEM-CP (Science, Technology, Engineering Dan Mathematic- Contextual Problem) by using module. This research employed a research and development (R&D) method, which was used as actual proof in improving a learning media of STEM-CP based modul. There were 12 schools, including state or private schools, and 12 biology teachers as need analysis involved in this study. A needs assessment was conducted by using a questionnaire generated in Google form. The result of the needs assessment showed that teachers 70% of stated so far the learning process has not run optimally, the media that has been used so far have not maximized the learning process of 66,6%, and 83.3% of teachers stated that learning had used modules, but 16.6% stated that the learning process had not used modules. The fact is that in learning the teacher has used the module but it has not maximized the learning process. The STEM-CP module is expected to be able to improve students' critical thinking skills and SRL (Self Regulated Learning).

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia caused panic in the education sector so that the Education office took representative actions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 by carrying out learning activities from home. Learning from home activities need to be supported by the existence of teaching materials that can be used by students, so researchers provide solutions by making the right teaching materials to use. This study aims to obtain web-based virtual worksheets on valid disaster mitigation materials to improve critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. The research includes research and development (RnD) using Thiagarajan's 4D research model consisting of define, design, development and disseminate stages. The research data were obtained from the results of validation carried out by three validators consisting of two expert validators and one user validator. The first expert validator scored 85.48%, the second expert validator scored 97.58% and the user validator scored 95.16%. The average result of the final validation is 92.74% and the criteria are very valid (> 85.01%) so that web-based virtual worksheets are feasible to use or apply.
