Abstract

Students in their lectures faced on academic and non academic challenge. In academic challenge, such as orientation period, lecture, assignment, mid test, final test, community service and thesis. From non academic challenge, student who join in organization student should be smart to divide their time in campus. Facing the academic and non academic challenge, student must to have toughness in him self to be able face and resolve their lecture as well, student must to have self efficacy. Self efficacy is a judgment one’s ability to organize and execute tasks aims to produce an achievement. Self efficacy can be enchanced through training program, one’s of outdoor training program can be called Outbound. Outbound defined by learning process by interacting through experienced, Outbound is simulation of game in outdoors and have goal to get experience has meaning. This is quantitave research with analysis Paired Sample T-Test. Data collection by use experiment method, pre-experiment design. Researcher deploy self efficacy pre-test scale and self efficacy post-test scale as many as 20 item, data collection techniques use multistage random sampling. Respondent in this research is student in Udayana University, as many as 30 respondent. Result from this research found probability 0,000 (p)<0,05. This means there Outbound influence in self efficacy student. In addition from analysis regresion amount of success variable can be predicts an increase of self efficacy post-test variabel. Abstract

One of the common phenomena in organization is the failure in fulfilling promise in retention management, which leads to psychological contract violation and triggers turnover intention. Other phenomenon is difference of employees personality. Employees with type A personality have characteristics which make them tend to react negatively and have high turnover intention. Analogously with Wattson Wyatt survey (2007) that found turnover level among bank employees reached 6,3%-7,5% which was high compared to other industries, it becomes important to study turnover intention among bank employees. According to that, researcher wants to find relationship between psychological contract violation and type A personality on turnover intention of bank employees, simultaneously and individually.   Subjects in this research are 52 employees of bank X in Denpasar. Method used in this research is correlational study. Data are collected by questionnaire. Turnover intention questionnaire has 23 valid items and its reliability coefficient is 0,896. Psychological contract violation questionnaire has 18 valid items and its reliability coefficient is 0,870. Type A personality questionnaire has 35 valid items and its reliability coefficient is 0,965. Data are normal and linear. Multiple regression and partial correlation are run for data analysis. The result of this research finds positive significant relationship between psychological contract violation and type A personality on turnover intention. The reliability coefficient is +0,863. The value of coefficient of determination is 0,744, which shows psychological contract violation and type A personality has 74,4% contribution to turnover intention.  Type A personality has positive significant relationship with turnover intention. The reliability coefficient is 0,556. There is no relationship between psychological contract violation and turnover intention.   Keywords: turnover intention, psychological contract violation, type A personality, bank employees

Abstract

Flight attendant is one of occupations that engages on service industry in airline sector. X Airlines is one of the airlines in Indonesia. Flight attendants’ duty includes giving service and ensuring the safety of passengers during an airline flight. With such high risk job, flight attendants are expected to fully commit to their work, in specifically to work voluntary. The voluntary behaviour is labelled as Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB), which is performed outside the flight attendant job description, for instance helping out fellow co-workers and keeping their responsibility well. Flight attendants should possess Self-Efficacy and Emotional Intelligence, in order to develop Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB). Therefore, this study aims to examine the correlation between Self-Efficacy and Emotional Intelligence with Organizational Citizenship Behaviour of Flight Attendants of X Airlines.This study was a quantitative correlational research. The subjects of the study were 81 senior and junior flight attendants of X Airlines, aged 18 at the least, possessing as a minimum a high school/vocational school diploma or equivalent, working for minimum 6 months, and the employment status must be permanent employee, contract employee, and outsourcing employee. The reliability scale of efficacy was 0,881, the reliability scale of emotional intelligence was 0,873, and the reliability scale of Organizational Citizenship Behaviour was 0,901. According to the hypothesis testing with multiple regression analysis, the significance level resulted in 0,000 (p<0,01). The level meant there was a correlation between Self-Efficacy and Emotional Intelligence with Organizational Citizenship Behaviour of Flight Attendants of X Airlines. The effective variable of Self-Efficacy and Emotional Intelligence contributing to Organizational Citizenship Behaviour was 20,7%, meanwhile, the 79,3% ones derived from other factors except Self-Efficacy and Emotional Intelligence.Keywords: Self-Efficacy, Emotional Intelligence, Organizational Citizenship Behaviour, Flight Attendants of X Airline.

Abstract

The complexity life roles of Balinese Woman have been a challenge for them who work in formal sector. Balinese Woman is bounded by customs duties as part of the fulfillment of their domestic role in the family. Undergoing role in a balanced work and family often lead to work-family conflict, then giving impact to reduce work engagement among them. Work engagement characterized by vigor, dedication, and absorption during work (Schaufeli, Salanova, Gonzalez-Roma, & Bakker, 2002). Work engagement is really required by the industrial sector workers who need to involves quality of service as the main capital (Indrianti & Hadi, 2012), such as banking sector. Hence, this study aimed to examine the relationship between work-family conflict and work engagement on Balinese Woman employees at banking sector in Bali. This research uses quantitative method. Respondents involved are 121 Balinese Woman employees who have had family, educated at least bachelor degree (S1), and at least have been working for 1 year in their company. Research validity uses content validity and items test empirically through internal consistency procedure. Reliability score for work-family conflict scale shows 0.944 and reliability score for work engagement shows 0.910. Data distribution has shown normal and linear distribution. Results of simple regression analysis shows negative and significant relationship between work-family conflicts with work engagement on Balinese Woman Employee at banking sector in Bali (B= -0.411; p= 0,002). Contribution of work-family conflict variable on work engagement is 8.1% and the remaining 91.9% is influenced by other factors. Abstract

Problems arise where elementary school student’s anxiety increased with the grade level when faced with the evaluation or examination. The problems were most often experienced by students when they will face the exam is a matter of anxiety. Lack of preparation when facing national exam can be overcome by increasing students studying motivation .This study aimed to determine the relationship between studying motivation and anxiety at sixth grade student’s elementary schools in Denpasar ahead national exam . This research is a quantitative correlation research. The subjects were 100 sixth grade elementary school students in Denpasar. Method of sample collection is by cluster random sampling method. Methods of data collection are Studying Motivation Scale which its reliability is 0.804 and Anxiety Scale which its reliability is 0.908. Normality of studying motivation variable is 0.148 and anxiety variable is 0.671. Linearity of variable studying motivation and anxiety variable is 0.002. Data analysis method is Pearson product moment correlation technique. The results show that there is a significant negative relationship between studying motivation and anxiety at Sixth Grade Students Elementary School in Denpasar Ahead of National Exam which its coefficient correlation is -0.303 with its probability value is 0.001. Abstract

The improvement of house needs which is added by modern life style, it creates the modern shop pattern in society when fulfilling their needs. Retail Company tries to fulfill society needs by selling products and service that is done by its employees. Therefore, the employees have an important role and they are hoped to emerge extra behavior for the company effectiveness. The company needs employees who do an extra behavior more than their formal job description and they perform to support with company’s hope (Robbins, 2001). In another words, employee does Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). When employees work, they will always connect with their work environment. OCB on employees will be high if they present in a positive organization climate. This research aims to know the relationship between organization climate and organization citizenship behavior in Retail Company employee. Respondents of this research are 95 employees working in 4 Retail Companies. The sampling method is cluster random sampling. The data collecting method is organization climate scale and organization citizenship behavior scale. This research uses content validity and Alpha Cronbach reliability. The reliability of organization climate scale is 0,937 and organization citizenship behavior scale is 0,965. The data distribution of organization climate and organization citizenship behavior is normal (z=0,327; z=0,058; p>0,05). The relationship between organization climate and organization citizenship behavior variable is linear (F=0,000; p<0,01). This research is a quantitative research which its data analysis is simple regression. The result of this research shows that the coefficient regression is 0.720 and the coefficient correlation is 0.568 with its significance 0,000 (p<0.01). This result proves that there is a positive relationship between organization climate and organization citizenship behavior in retail company employee. The contribution of organization climate variable toward organization citizenship behavior variable is 32.2%.   Keywords: organization climate, organizational citizenship behavior, employee, retail company

Abstract

  Adolescences have many developmental tasks. Some of them are getting involved into social role and capable of doing a proper career planning. When adolescences are faced by the strict culture, like Balinese Teenage Girls who involved into sekaa teruna organization, they have to actively participate in every cultural activity as a part of social role, and also doing career planning for their future’s preparation. In doing career planning, adolescences need the ability to manage their potential and retrieved information without ignoring their social roles. Therefore, Balinese Teenage Girls need to find the right way to do career planning and fulfill their social roles that are have a good self-regulation. Because of that researcher assumed that there is a positive relationship between self-regulation and career planning of Balinese Teenage Girls.   This research method is quantitative-correlation, using 135 subjects that are Balinese Teenage Girls who joined sekaa teruna organization in Badung and their age ranges from 15-20 years old. Method used for collecting the data is questionnaire which is self-regulation scale and career planning scale. The reliability of self-regulation variable is 0.916 and for the career planning variable is 0.911. The normality of self-regulation variable is 0.098 and for the career planning variable is 0.269. The linearity between self-regulation variable and career planning variable is 0.000. The determination coefficient is 0.354. The analysis method is Pearson product moment correlation techniques. The correlation coefficient is 0.595 with 0.000 probabilities. Abstract

Many demands of role that already undertaken by Balinese people who work as employees, makes the employees work under pressure and confuse facing the responsibility on each role. This situation can lead them to work family conflict. A form of interrole conflict in which the role pressures from the work and family domains are mutually incompatible in some respect (Greenhaus & Beutell, 1985). The conflict will push the work conflict, which has the potential to reduce the level of job satisfaction. However, the relationship between work family conflict with job satisfaction can be stronger when it involves the organizational commitment in both cases. Therefore, this study aims to see the relationship between work family conflict with job satisfaction, and examine the relationship between work family conflict on job satisfaction and organizational commitment as moderator. This is a correlation quantitative method. Respondents involves this study are 150 Balinese employees who have family, minimum at high school degree, have been working for 1 year in their company, minimum age 20 years, and has status as a permanent employee. Reliability scores for work family conflict scale is 0,876, reliability scores for job satisfaction scale is 0,864, and reliability scores for organizational commitment is 0,924. Data distribution has shown normal and linear distribution. The result of moderator variable regression analysis by sub-group method shows that organizational commitment doesn’t moderate the effects of work family conflict to job satisfaction on Balinese employees (F count value (1,066) < F table value (3,10)). Abstract

A phenomenon called "Job Hopping" political elites facing the elections affects the instability of the party. This phenomenon is related to the lack of organization commitment and organizational citizenship behavior at the party functionaries. By committing to the organization, the party functionaries are able to identify themselves to the task and purpose and loyal to the organization. It then makes functionaries to demonstrate Organizational Citizenship behavior. This study is aimed at determining the relationship between organizational commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior at Golkar Party functionaries. This research is a quantitative correlation. The subjects are Golkar party functionaries  in Bali by 97 people with age criteria to join at least 5 years, between the ages of 25-65 years and a minimum of High School education/ equivalent. Method of collecting samples is the convenience method. Methods of collecting data are the Organizational Commitment Scale with its reliability 0.814 and Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale with its reliability 0.791. Normality of commitment organizational variable is 1.127 and Organizational Citizenship Behavior variable is 0.878. Linearity of organizational commitment variable and Organizational Citizenship Behavior variable are 0.000. Data analysis method is by using techniques of the Pearson product moment correlation. The result shows that there is a significant positive relationship between organizational commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior on Golkar party functionaries in Bali with 0.529 correlation values and probability value 0.000.   Keywords: Organizational Commitment, Organizational Citizenship Behavior, Golkar Party Functionaries

Abstract

Tight competition between modern stores is a challenge for organizations of modern store in order to survive and achieve the organization's success. Therefore, the modern store manager is required to make decision as the real action to face that challenge. Decision making is an important process to achieve organization's goals (Luthans, 2006), in which decision-making is done by the manager, because the manager as a key player in the decision-making process (Socea, 2012). Meanwhile, to anticipate a change in the era of globalization and competition, intrapreneurship comes into creativity and an innovative concept that if possessed by modern store manager, it can give an important contribution in the decision making of modern store manager. This research aims to determine whether there is a relationship between intrapreneurship and decision-making of modern store manager. This research is a quantitative method with simple regression analysis. Data is collected through research scales that have been tested for validity and reliability to the 103 modern store managers in the province of Bali, Indonesia. Research data shows normal distribution and linear. The result shows the correlation coefficient is 0.770 and probability at 0.000 (p <0.05). It means that there is a positive and significant relationship between intrapreneurship and decision-making of modern store manager. Contribution of intrapreneurship variable to decision making variable is 59.3%. Key words: intrapreneurship, decision making, manager, modern store
