Abstract

Experimental testing of lightly reinforced concrete column was conducted to investigate the collapse behavior of such column under cyclic lateral loading. Six column specimens, which have low longitudinal reinforcement and lack of confinement, were detailed with no lap splice, and non-ductile lap splice within or outside critical region. Placing the short, unconfined column's lap splice within critical region caused peak moment to fall short under its nominal moment capacity. In contrast, moment capacity of the specimen containing non-ductile lap splice outside critical region was in close agreement with those of specimen without lap splice. However, its inelastic damage region was moving away from the beam-column interface, resulted in degradation of drift capacity and rapid degradation of lateral strength. The presence of non-ductile lap splice outside critical region also potentially shift column's collapse mechanism from flexure to flexure-shear critical. The ability of lightly reinforced concrete columns to maintain its axial load carrying capacity to large drift ratios despite heavy damage and significant loss of lateral load carrying capacity indicates that lap splice failure does not create sudden collapse hazard.

Abstract

Serangan sulfat (sulfate attack) termasuk hal yang umum terjadi pada struktur beton, mengingat ion sulfat banyak dijumpai pada tanah, air tanah dan air laut. Peningkatan ketahanan beton melawan sulfat akan berdampak besar pada durabilitas dan umur layan struktur beton. Penambahan supplementary cementitious materials seperti GGBFS (ground granulated blast furnace slag) ke campuran beton telah terbukti memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap durabilitas dan properti mekanis beton. Namun, GGBFS tergolong material yang baru dikembangkan di Indonesia dan potensinya dalam meningkatkan durabilitas beton belum dimanfaatkan secara luas. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu dilakukan investigasi terkait aplikasi GGBFS dan pengaruhnya terhadap durabilitas beton, terutama dalam melawan serangan sulfat. Dalam studi ini, durabilitas beton dengan persentase penggantian GGBFS 30%, 50% dan 70% terhadap total volume binder dievaluasi menggunakan perlakuan siklus basah-kering dalam larutan magnesium sulfat. Tingkat degradasi beton diukur dengan melakukan observasi terhadap perubahan kuat tekan dan massa spesimen akibat serangan sulfat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggantian GGBFS hingga 50% dari total volume binder dapat meningkatkan ketahanan beton terhadap serangan sulfat, ditunjukkan dengan kehilangan massa dan reduksi kekuatan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan spesimen kontrol dengan 100% semen Portland.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis community service program is intended to provide knowledge and understanding to SMA Diponegoro Tumpang teachers related to ASEAN and the ASEAN Community. SMA Diponegoro Tumpang was chosen because the school was being tried to develop ASEAN schools through the Smadita ASEAN School tagline. The activities carried out through this ASEAN Class Program is discussing ASEAN, the ASEAN Community with its three pillars and the opportunities and challenges of the era of the ASEAN Economic Community and the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Through this community service program, by conducting a pre-test and post-test, showing the knowledge of SMA Diponegoro Tumpang teachers about ASEAN and the ASEAN Community is increasing. Keywords: ASEAN, ASEAN Community, teachers, SMA Diponegoro Tumpang ABSTRAKProgram pengabdian masyarakat ini dimaksudkan untuk memberikan bekal pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada guru SMA Diponegoro Tumpang terkait ASEAN dan Masyarakat ASEAN (ASEAN Community). Abstract

Penggunaan superplastisizer dalam campuran beton secara signifikan mereduksi kebutuhan air dalam campuran dengan tetap mempertahankan kelecakannya, sehingga terjadi peningkatan kekuatan dan durabilitas beton. Namun, penggunaan superplastisizer yang berlebihan dapat mengakibatkan masalah bleeding dan segregasi pada campuran beton yang akan berdampak pada perlemahan beton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kadar optimum superplastisizer dan tingkat reduksi air dalam campuran beton yang dapat mencapai atau meningkatkan kelecakan dan kuat tekan yang direncanakan. Studi dilakukan terhadap tiga jenis superplastiziser, yaitu SPC-200, Sikament LN, dan Sika Viscocrete 3115N. Untuk pembuatan beton normal, hasil penelitian menyarankan penggunaan superplastisizer SPC-200 pada kadar 0,4% - 0,6% dengan tingkat reduksi air 5,5% - 9%, Sikament LN pada kadar 0,4 - 1% dengan tingkat reduksi air 5% - 12,5%, dan Sika Viscocrete 3115N pada kadar 0,6% - 1% dan tingkat reduksi air 13% - 19%. Selain itu, berdasarkan tingkat kelecakan dan kuat tekan beton, kadar optimum superplasticizer adalah SPC-200 pada 0,65% dengan reduksi air 9,8%, Sikament LN pada 0,68% dengan reduksi air 8,5%, dan Sika Viscocrete 3115N pada 0,82% dengan reduksi air 17,5%.

Abstract

The Landungsari Traditional Market is intended to serve as a major economic engine for the local area. This community service aims to assist in assessing the conditions of infrastructure and facilities in the Traditional Market of Landungsari since the availability and quality of infrastructure and facilities play a significant role in supporting the sustainable growth of the traditional market. The factors in question include the physical state of the buildings, the availability of utility infrastructure, the availability of essential public facilities, and the market’s accessibility. The study's findings were presented as suggestions for infrastructure improvement that could be used as a guide for the local government to further enhance the market's physical features. Visual assessment revealed that while the market's structure is generally in good condition, several of its components require maintenance and repair. This market needs to make improvements in terms of utility systems since it only satisfies around 25% of the standard requirements. Furthermore, as only 71% of the market's essential public facilities have been provided, additional facility development was necessary. Even though the market's building and facilities have been given adequate access, it is recommended to perform improvements in terms of wider market aisles, the addition of wheelchair-accessible pathways, and the provision of public transportation services to achieve a higher level of market accessibility.

Abstract

Pendidikan yang berkualitas merupakan bagian dari Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan untuk memastikan akses pendidikan yang layak dan inklusif bagi semua orang. Fasilitas belajar yang memadai memiliki peran penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan. SD Muhammadiyah 5 Malang memiliki bangunan yang layak dengan prasarana pembelajaran yang cukup lengkap, namun prasarana ruang kelas memerlukan peremajaan, terlihat dari dinding kelas yang terlihat kusam dan kusen jendela yang mengalami kerusakan. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas prasarana sekolah sehingga dapat menambah semangat belajar siswa dan mendukung kemajuan pendidikan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi peningkatan kondisi fisik ruang belajar yang mencakup pengecatan ulang dinding dan penggantian kusen jendela di ruang kelas 5. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peremajaan ruang kelas secara signifikan meningkatkan kenyamanan dan estetika ruang belajar. Dengan kondisi infrastruktur yang lebih baik, diharapkan kualitas pendidikan di SD Muhammadiyah 5 Malang semakin meningkat dan dapat mendorong tercapainya pembangunan berkelanjutan di bidang pendidikan.

Abstract

This study investigates the performance of environmentally friendly concrete by utilizing superplasticizer and hydrated lime as filler materials. The superplasticizer was used to simultaneously reduce the water and cement content in the concrete mix, while hydrated lime was added as a filler to compensate for the reduced paste volume. The evaluation was conducted through compressive strength testing, water absorption, and sorptivity measurements. The results show that the incorporation of superplasticizer significantly improved both workability and compressive strength, despite a 10% reduction in water and cement content. This mixture demonstrated the best performance, indicated by the highest slump and compressive strength values. Conversely, the addition of hydrated lime resulted in a 2.7% decrease in compressive strength compared to the control mix. Water absorption and sorptivity tests revealed that concrete containing hydrated lime had lower total water absorption capacity but exhibited a higher initial rate of water absorption. These findings suggest the need for more diverse testing methods or an expanded set of research variables to obtain a more comprehensive assessment of concrete's resistance to water penetration.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service focuses on the revitalization of a kindergarten landscape in rural areas as an effort to stimulate the public’s interest in early childhood education. The upgraded kindergarten’s landscape is believed to increase students’ motivation and learning interest.Method: The methods employed in the study were based on the descriptive approach to identify the issues in the targeted areas. The data was collected using qualitative means which include interviews and field observations. The data was then analyzed to form the basis for decision-making and to choose the appropriate course of action to address the issues.Practical Applications: The revitalization of the kindergarten landscape plays a major role in the children’s learning experience. These spaces provide convenient outdoor activities and act as learning stimuli for the children to gain knowledge about nature. Furthermore, the appealing landscape could encourage the public to set their children in early childhood education.Conclusion: This community service aims to revitalize the kindergarten landscape to create convenient outdoor spaces and act as a learning aid for the student. This service succeeds in providing an improved landscape for the kindergarten which contributes to the broader student learning experience. The more appealing landscape gave the school a fresh look to entice the public interest in early childhood education.

Abstract

Proses pendidikan dan pengajaran di lingkungan sekolah tidak lepas dari faktor ketersediaan sarana-prasarana yang menjadi salah satu tolak ukur kualitas atau mutu sekolah. Namun, pada kondisi pasca-pandemi Covid-19, banyak sekolah yang membutuhkan peremajaan akibat kondisi ruang sekolah yang tidak terawat, salah satunya adalah SD 01 Muhammadiyah Malang. Saat ini, SD 01 Muhammadiyah Malang sudah mulai melakukan renovasi kondisi fisik sekolah di berbagai titik, namun masih ada beberapa ruang kelas yang belum tersentuh. Dinding ruang-ruang kelas ini terlihat kusam, bahkan ada dinding yang berjamur. Selain membersihkan dan mempercantik kondisi sekolah, SD 01 Muhammadiyah Malang berencana melakukan renovasi di bidang pemanfaatan ruang, yaitu mengalihfungsikan beberapa ruang sehingga dapat terpakai dengan lebih efisien. Salah satu ruang yang dimaksud adalah alihfungsi ruang kantin menjadi ruang baca sekaligus ruang tunggu wali murid. Namun, SD 01 Muhammadiyah Malang belum memiliki sumber daya manusia yang handal dalam menangani proses tersebut. Mengacu pada permasalahan tersebut, terdapat dua program kerja yang dilakukan pada pengabdian ini. Program kerja pertama adalah renovasi beberapa ruang kelas dengan cara pengecatan ulang, sehingga ruang kelas tampak bersih dan terawat. Program kerja kedua berupa perencanaan desain ruang baca dan ruang tunggu wali murid yang mencakup desain ruang, pembuatan gambar kerja, perhitungan anggaran biaya dan penjadwalan pelaksanaan pekerjaan. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan peremajaan fisik berupa tampilan ruang kelas yang bersih dan terawat. Selain itu, renovasi ruang baca dan ruang tunggu dapat segera dilaksanakan berdasar dari gambar kerja yang telah dibuat dengan anggaran biaya terhitung sebesar Rp.126.000.000,00 dan estimasi waktu renovasi selama dua bulan.
