Abstract

This study aims to determine the percentage of post-larva Giant Freshwater Prawn (Macrobrachium Rosenberg de Man) from genetic resources of  Kintap River, Pagatan River and Barito River. This study uses a completely randomized design with three treatments and three replications. The treatments were tested A: Genetic Resources Pagatan (Pg), B: Genetic Resources Kintap (Kt) and C: Genetic Resources Barito (Br). The results showed the genetic resources percentage  post larvae Pagatan provide the highest 76,67%, followed Barito and Last  Genetic Resources of Kintap 66,00%.  ANOVA results showed different genetic sources of influence on percentage post-larva. The results LSD test indicate  percentage Post Larvae was produced from  genetic source Pagatan different from the genetic resources Kintap, then genetic resources Pagatan not different from genetic resources Kintap, and so  percentage Post Larvae of genetic resources Barito not  different from the genetic source Kintap.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to obtain the best salinity for honey prawn (macro) egg prawn (Macrobrancium rosenbergii). This study used Completely Randomized Design, with three treatments and three replications. The results showed that with the salinity of 6 ‰ resulted in an average hatchability of 86.4%, with the salinity of 8 ‰ resulted in 70.5% hatchability, and at salinity 10 ‰ yielded hatchability of 56, 5%. The result of analysis of variance (ANOVA), hatching power of prawn egg very different between treatment. Water quality such as temperature, DO, and pH, during the study can still be tolerated by giant prawns. The results of this study recommend using a salinity of 6 ‰ to do hatching of prawn eggs.

Abstract

Dissemination of the parent assembly giant freshwater prawns and fry prawns Production was held on Bumi Temposo Group and Selatan Makmur Group on Sepunggur Southern Sub-District of Kusan Hilir, Tanah Bumbu of South Kalimantan. The method used in the application of science and technology are Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) with the pattern of the cooperative breeding system (CBS). Assembling Parent done by the multiplication of Parent of giant freshwater prawn through fry  production of selected conformed to protocol assembling followed production of prawns SNI: 01-2.6486.1-2 2000. The results of evaluation obtained a change in attitude and knowledge of the assembly stem and fry prawns production of prawns as a result of changes do not really know be learned or understood by 40% and Very Understood by 60% and this change of attitude significantly statistically.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different temperatures and stocking densities and the hatching rate of Gouramy eggs with Experimental Design of Factorial Complete Randomized Design The main treatments of temperature, including A1: Temperature 28ºC and A2: Temperature 30ºC. The main treatment of stocking density includes B1: Stocking density of 10 pcs/liters and B2: Stocking density of 20 pcs/liters. The results were obtained as follows: Different temperatures did not have a significant effect on the hatching rate of Gouramy eggs. Different stocking densities have a significant effect on the hatching rate of Gouramy eggs. The interaction of temperature and stocking density did not have a significant effect on the hatching rate of Gouramy eggs. From the results of measurements of water quality parameters obtained water temperature data 28 and 30 ° C, pH 7.3 - 8.5 and DO (dissolved oxygen) ranged from 4.68 to 5.00 ppm
