Abstract

Natural attractions Labuan Cermin Lakes one of the potential of this attraction to be developed in order to increase investment, employment, business opportunity and ultimately to improve the welfare of society. The development of tourism sector in the economy has a trickle-down effect to other sectors. This study aims to identify the conditions of the environmental setting Subdistrict Biduk-biduk in terms of the socio-economic and cultural as well as the structure of the population, analyzing the perception of tourists to the natural attractions of Labuan Cermin Lakes, analyzing the growth of travelers who make Danau Labuan Cermin as a tourist destination, analyze the economic valuation of resource benefits environment and natural nature Labuan Cermin Lakes and designing models of development and management of Labuan Cermin Lakes nature in a sustainable manner. The method used is descriptive analysis method, analysis Travel Cost Method and SWOT analysis by respondents as many as 100 tourists and is supported by other primary and secondary data. The results based on primary and secondary data, Subdistrict Biduk-biduk with an area of 3.002.99 km, tropical climate and altitude of 1 (one) to 3 (three) meters above sea level. The total population of 5,631 inhabitants with a growth of 3.38% in 2014. The majority of fishermen and coconut plantations for copra. There are three tourist destinations, Labuan Cermin Lakes, Kaniungan Island and Bidadari Waterfalls. Perception rating of the facility Labuan Cermin Lakes is quite satisfactory with the percentage of 30% and the perception of tourists to services is 51%. Trend tourists who come to the tourist attraction of Labuan Cermin Lakes continue to increase from year to year with forecasts in 2016 to 2021 there was an increase of 12.4% annually. The magnitude of the economic value of natural resources and environmental benefits nature Labuan Cermin Lakes, 100 respondents from eight zones pay to enjoy the natural scenery of Lake Labuan Cermin Rp.1.099.437,- and if in 2015 as many as 22 504 tourists then obtained the value of tourism resources of Labuan Cermin Lakes Rp. 24,741,741,500,- as well as the surplus value amounted Rp.2.969.008.980,- travel traveler growth at 12.4% per year. Shape the direction of the development strategy of Labuan Cermin Lakes nature in a sustainable manner, Labuan Cermin Lakes facilities must have a good support for, the development of additional recreational facilities, development of creative entrepreneurial community and increased accessibility to Labuan Cermin Lakes.

Abstract

The research location is in Asam-Asam PT Arutmin Indonesia, located in District Jorong, Tanah Laut, Kalimantan Selatan. This study aims to determine the relationship of visual rock with PAF and NAF rock properties based on the distribution pattern, volume, and utilization. Visual identification that shows the strong correlation of PAF on the grain size of silt, color dark gray lithology, and lithologic silt. a strong correlation was also found on NAF rock with a grain size of clay, fine sand, very fine sand. In the color white rock medium, medium gray, light gray. obtained a volume of PAF: 208 309 329 BCM, NAF = 200 764 182 BCM volume, so the volume of NAF to be taken can coat 3,5 meters disposal.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas ruang kota dan upaya meningkatkan fungsi kawasan di lingkungan perkotaan, RTH harus dipertimbangkan sebagai bagian integral dari kegiatan penataan bangunan. Alasannya ialah karena aspek bangunan dan lingkungan merupakan komponen permukiman yang tak terpisahkan, saling menunjang secara seimbang, serasi, dan selaras. Sebagai kota yang menginginkan mutu lingkungan perkotaannya tetap terjaga dengan baik walaupun memiliki laju pertumbuhan penduduk yang tinggi, Kota Banjarbaru tentunya juga harus memenuhi ketentuan-ketentuan tersebut. Oleh karena itu sangat diperlukan permodelan dalam perencanaan RTH Taman Lingkungan di Kota Banjarbaru dengan berbagai pertimbangan yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi wilayah, luas lahan dan manfaat yang bisa dinikmati secara maksimal oleh masyarakat. Model perencanaan RTH Taman Lingkungan dilakukan dengan mengkaji berdasarkan aspek spasial (keruangan) dan sosial. Pentingnya model perencanaan RTH Taman Lingkungan di Kota Banjarbaru disebabkan tidak diterapkannya model perencanaan yang sesuai dengan perkembangan kota sehingga pemanfaatan secara langsung tidak maksimal dirasakan oleh masyarakat Kota Banjarbaru. Penelitian ini mengkaji lebih dalam hubungan aspek spasial dan sosial RTH taman lingkungan tersebut dengan pentingnya keterlibatan masyarakat dalam penentuan rencana desain RTH taman lingkungan yang direncanakan. Metode yang digunakan untuk aspek sosial ini adalah wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini diketahui jumlah RTH taman lingkungan di kota Banjarbaru Utara dan Banjarbaru Selatan yang bersifat publik, berdasarkan hierarki pelayanan adalah 9 (sembilan) unit dengan luas 31.799 m², berdasarkan analisis data tingkat persepsi masyarakat terhadap keberadaan RTH Taman Lingkungan di Kota Banjarbaru Utara dan Banjarbaru Selatan sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi masyarakat di Banjarbaru Utara adalah  tingkat pendidikan dan informasi sedangkan di Banjarbaru Selatan adalah  informasi dan lama bermukim. Model perencanaan RTH Taman Lingkungan yang sesuai dengan preferensi masyarakat, lingkungan alam dan lingkungan binaan di Kota Banjarbaru adalah dilengkapi dengan fasilitas umum, taman bermain, tempat duduk pengunjung, lahan khusus untuk pedagang, area parkir yang aman, tempat sampah yang menyesuaikan luasan RTH Taman tersebut, pemilihan lampu taman yang sesuai dengan kondisi lingkungan setempat dan pemilihan jenis tanaman yang  sesuai dengan kondisi lahan

Abstract

The method of activated sludge is a wastewater treatment method that utilizes microbial growth processes are suspended.  One of the microbes that play a role in wastewater treatment systems with activated sludge are bacteria. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of sampling time and the combination of retention time on levels of pH, BOD, TSS, H2S and turbidity effluent of beverage industry with waste activated sludge of tofu and identify the bacterial isolates obtained from the beverage industry wastewater treatment with activated sludge waste of tofu and to know the diversity of types of bacteria that play a role in it.  The diversity of bacteria identified in the beverage industry wastewater treatment by activated sludge are five types of Bacillus sp, Acinetobacter sp, Staphylococcos sp, Cardiobacterium sp, and Mycoplasma sp.  These bacteria are most likely a bacterium that plays a role in the degradation of the beverage industry wastewater. Activated sludge method, it is also able to improve water quality, especially for TSS parameter (<200 mg/l) and H2S (<0.05 mg/l).  Sampling time in the morning better than afternoon in the improvement of water quality parameters; for the retention time of 8 hours of sample treatment is better than 6 hours.  Thus, the retrieval time (morning, afternoon) and the retention time of wastewater samples generate all test parameters better than the control.

Abstract

Mangrove forests have ecological functions as an absorber of carbon dioxide and store carbon through photosynthesis. How much carbon stored in mangrove forest can be estimated by biomass contained as an individual constituent mangrove forest vegetation. This research aims to develop allometric model to estimate content of biomass on Rhizophora apiculata which is one of the compilers specific of the mangrove forest. Research methods through logging (destruction) with a total sample of 35 trees that represents the distribution diameter of 11-78 cm. The results showed content of the biomass species Rhizophora apiculata as much as 77% on the trunk, 14% on the branch, 6% on the twigs and 3% on the leaves. Allometric are obtained to estimate the biomass content on Rhizophora apiculata types are as follows: Y = 0,1488D2,4310; branch section Y = 0.0229D2,4521; twigs part Y = 0.0375D2,0389; leaf   Y = 0.1898D1,2809; total tree Y = 0.2300D2,3766. Through determination test concluded that the allometric chosen is Y = 0.2300D2,3766 with the value of the determinant coefficient of 0.9479

Abstract

The processing of remote sensing and field survey data that applying Geographic Information System (GIS) was important to do in order to collect the basic data and an accurate information about rural rubber plantation natural resources. The !st threemonthly 2013 statistical report of Banjarbaru City plantation, showed that rural rubber plantation was 986 Ha’s width. Thus data, comprehensively not adequate to answer the exact/certain width of rural rubber plantation in Banjarbaru. So, it was considered necessarily to complete them with such Geographic Information. This research was aimed (1) to determine the exact width of rural rubber plantation area; and (2) to make a thematic map of rural rubber plantation natural resources. This research was conducted in Cempaka village, Banjarbaru City, south Kalimantan Province. This research was occupied by collecting important data and information, then analyzed them by using GIS. The primary data were collected by taking coordinate points on field with Global Positioning System (GPS) tool, and analyzed them by using GIS spatial analysis. The result showed that the width of rural rubber plantation based on year 2007 quickbird survey was 1.357,82 Ha which withdrawn in the map of rural rubber plantation natural resources in Cempaka Village, Banjarbaru City. Thus, according to year 2010 alos-avnir mulispektral classification resulted that the width was 999 Ha, withdrawn in the landcover map of Cempaka Village banjarbaru City. We might conclude that the width of rural rubber plantation in Cempaka Village based on quickbird survey in 2007 was 419,82 Ha larger than 938 Ha statistical data of rural rubber plantation in Cempaka, and it was 61 Ha larger if compared with 2010 alos-avnir mulispektral classification. Those data were included in two (2) different map of rural rubber plantation natural resources in Cempaka Village Banjarbaru City.

Abstract

High cost in doing the census method in forest inventory activities, therefore required the existence of a method of using remote sensing to simplify data retrieval in the determination of inventory. The purpose of the research to estimate the potential of the forest in PT Multibuana Prima by using Landsat 8 transformation of NDVI (Normalized Different Vegetation Index) and to test the accuracy of Landsat 8 in estimating the potential of the forest. The method used is the stratified sampling that supported by remote sensing data e.g. image of Landsat and aerial UAV (Unmanned Aarial Vehicle) as well as verification of data in the field. Based on a linear regression analysis was obtained by the potential value of forest in PT Multibuana Prima, range between 120-446 m3/ha, with an accuracy of 37.5% imagery truth.Keywords:Remote Sensing;Landsat 8;Normalized Diffrerence Vegetation Index (NDVI); Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)

Abstract

Swallow's nest is one of the Non-Timber Forest Products which has a high selling value.We need to know how the advantages and disadvantages of swallow nest business.This study aims to describe the advantages and disadvantages of the swallow nest business in Angsau Village, Tanah Laut Regency.The data consists of primary data obtained from direct interviews with building owners and special builders of swallow nest buildings and local communities involved in swallow nest business, which understands the problem of swallow birds.Data were analyzed using the SWOT method. The results of the study are the internal factors, namely the strengths of the swallow's nest business, which are locations for building swallow nests that have a spread of white swallow populations, high selling points and easy marketing channels.TheWeakness, high production and capital costs and unclear permits.The external factor namely Opportunity from swallow's nest business, namely the price classification so that all forms of nests can be sold, high export market demand, and technological progress, as well as the availability of artificial feed.Threats of this business are high land prices and the cost of building nests, rampant nest theft rates and predatory bird attacks, volatile exchange rates, and wrong harvesting methods.Keywords: Swallow's nest; advantages; disadvantages; opportunities; threats

Abstract

Ulin (Eusideroxylon zwageri T. & B.), mostly known as the Belian or Iron Wood of Borneo. The spread of ulin can be found in Sumatra and Kalimantan. Nowaday, growth of Ulin is very threatened from extinction due to excessive exploitation by humans and its potential significantly decreased. As a result, natural growth and regeneration of Ulin becomes very slow and limited in its habitat. The sustainability of the results will be achieved if the harvested yields do not exceed the forest growth capability. It is necessary to measure and calculate growth of ulin sprout. This study aims to analyze the growth of ulin sprout in 2014 and 2018 periods. Based on field observation data were 31 samples of ulin sprout studied in May to November 2014 shows the result that none of the ulin sprout suffered dying. Subsequent observations in January 2018 found 29.04% ulin sprout or there are 9 dead of ulin sprout. The results showed that the average growth rate per month (CAI) Ulin sprout ranges from 0.197 cm per month, and at the stake level and 0.300 cm per month at the pole level. While the annual growth (MAI), at the level of stakes of 0.463 cm per year and at the pole level of 1,147 cm per year.Keywords: Ulin sprout; Growth rate

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the spatial structure of the Bajandik Riam and pulau mas towards the villagers' participation in the development of ecotourism. This research was conducted in the baru village of Batu Benawa District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan, and done for 3 months. Produce in the form of primary data analysis material obtained from interviews and observations using the Purposive Sampling method and secondary data namely additional data that support research derived from literature or data from local institutions in this research that is village population data. Data analysis can be divided into 2 aspects that are, descriptive analysis of primary and secondary data, and geolocation analysis based on geographic information systems (GIS) using the ArcGIS application. The descriptive analysis resulted in 30.49% of the villagers not involved, and 15.85% of the villagers were involved, and sometimes involved 4.88% and the rest is not involved but would join in the development of ecotourism. And from the villager's suggestion 10.98% think of development for maximum utilization for the villagers', 23.17% think about environmental cleanliness and 54.88% want this location to be known by many people. while from analysis based on geographic information systems, can be concluded the existence of this ecotourism improve the local economy, then what needs to be paid attention to is the improvement of spatial planning both in terms of facilitation, and the need for an organizational structure of tourism managers by directly involving the villagers.
