Abstract

This flayer media will be used in teaching language error analysis to find out the errors contained in the flayer as a promotion that is still relied on today. Language error analysis is used by language teachers to collect samples of errors, identify the errors contained in the samples, explain the errors, classify the errors, and evaluate the level of seriousness of the errors. The aim of this research is to find out how to analyze language errors and what language should actually be used in media flayers during promotions. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This research was carried out on seventh semester students of the PBSI UMN Al Washliyah Study Program. The population in this research was all 18 PBSI semester VII students. The sampling technique used in this research is a non-probability sampling technique. Media Flayer in language error analysis learning is considered effective for use in learning activities. Apart from being easy to access, media flayer also makes it easier for students to analyze language errors because just by using a mobile phone they can analyze language errors without having to go to the place they are going to. This research follow-up creates a comprehensive workflow from research results to real implementation and continuous improvement. This research has the potential to create positive and sustainable changes in various aspects of community life.

Abstract

 This research discusses the improvement of critical thinking skills in the activity of analyzing linguistic rules in biographical texts using the problem based learning model. The problem based learning learning model is a learning model that puts forward problems to be solved with high thinking skills. The purpose of this assessment is to find out the effectiveness of applying the problem-based learning model in improving thinking skills in analyzing linguistic rules in biographical texts in class X DPIB 1 SMK Negeri 2 Medan. In this classroom action research it was carried out through cyclical stages. The results of obtaining scores in the pre-action stage with the achievement of an average score of 50.90. Achievement of the average value in the first cycle with an achievement value of 72.30. Achievement of the average value of the second cycle with a value of 85.48. The implementation of improving students' thinking skills in analyzing linguistic rules in biographical texts is very appropriate by using the problem-based learning model and experiencing a very significant increase in each cycle.  This research discusses the improvement of critical thinking skills in the activity of analyzing linguistic rules in biographical texts using the problem based learning model. Abstract

Indonesian is experiencing very rapid development in various corners of the world. This is also influenced by various factors, including Indonesia's state relations with other countries in various sectors, both economic, political, social and cultural. Through this relationship, the important role of Indonesian is believed to be an element that has the potential to be related to the position of Indonesian on the international stage (Muliastuti, 2016). Apart from that, in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 24 of 2009 concerning the Flag, Language and National Emblem, namely making Indonesian an international language, gradually and systematically, under the Ministry of Education and Culture, various diplomatic methods are carried out. One of the missions The linguistic diplomacy that is intensively carried out by the Indonesian government is by facilitating the Indonesian language teaching program for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) to many countries that already have bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Indonesia. Through language, someone can communicate with other people, even though they have different cultural backgrounds. Likewise with Indonesian which is learned by people who are not native speakers of the language. Therefore, the BIPA teaching program, which is one of the advantages of this diplomatic mission, continues to be intensified at various universities, agencies or language institutions abroad.

Abstract

Fokus Pengabdian yang diuraikan adalah English for Business to Improve Transaction Communication for Islamic Students at Jisda in Yala Province Thailand. Bahasa Inggris menjadi bahasa komunikasi utama dalam dunia bisnis internasional. Bahasa Inggris bisnis sangat dibutuhkan dalam keperluan karir, pekerjaan dan bisnis. Dalam berbahasa Inggris perlu sekali dipahami terkait rumus dalam berkomunikasi, selain itu untuk mengadopsi TPACK pengabdian ini juga menampilkan media transaksi yang digunakan. Adapun hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah menambah kosakata mahasiswa khusus nya dalam english for business, dan mahasiswa mampu bertransaksi dengan berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan bahasa Inggris. Dari sebelum pelatihan ini dilakukan tingkat kemampuan bahasa Inggris dalam bertransaksi menikat menjadi 85% yang sebelumnyahanya sekitar 10% mahasiswa mampu berkomunikasi bahasa Inggris yang dikarenakan rata-rata masyarakat Thailand terkhusus di JISDA menggunakan bahasa Thaiand Selatan.

Abstract

Pendekatan komunikatifmerupakanpendekatan yang berlandaskan pada pemikiranbahwakemampuanmenggunakanbahasadalamberkomunikasimerupakantujuan yang harusdicapaidalampembelajaranbahasa. Setiapsiklusterdiridariperencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil daripenelitianiniadalahSetelahdilakukantesawalterhadapmahasiswa semester 2V PGSD UMNAW, ternyatadiperolehhasil 3300 bahwakemampuanmahasiswadalammenulismenunjukkanhanya3 mahasiswa  yangmampu (berhasil) A.dan 5 mahasiswadengannilaiB. Hal inimenunjukkanbahwatarafkemampuanmahasiswadalammenulisadalah 82,5 masihtergolongBaik. Dengandemikiandapatdisimpulkanbahwapenelitianiniadalah pada tesawalmahasiswamemiliki  total  jumlah 2675 dengannilai rata – rata 66 permahasiswainitermasukdalamkategoricukup, sedangakan pada siklus 1 mendapatkan  total penilaian  3162 dengan rata – rata  nilai 81 permahasiswa di kategori Baik sedangkansiklus II adapeningkatan yang di lihatdimana total jumlah 3300 dengan rata – rata 82,5maka dapat di simpulkanbahwasudah di kategori   Baik.

Abstract

Menabung adalah salah satu dasar penting dalam membentuk kemampuan pengelolaan keuangan yang efektif bagi individu. Sebagai bagian dari literasi keuangan, menabung tidak hanya membantu individu mengelola keuangan dengan lebih baik, tetapi juga mempersiapkan mereka untuk menghadapi masa depan yang penuh ketidakpastian. Kebiasaan menabung sejak dini dapat membantu individu tumbuh menjadi dewasa yang mampu membuat keputusan keuangan yang bijak dan bertanggung jawab. Tujuan utama dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk menanamkan dan membiasakan kebiasaan menabung sejak dini pada siswa sekolah dasar melalui pendekatan sosialisasi karena rendahnya literasi keuangan dan budaya menabung di kalangan anak-anak di Indonesia, sedangkan mengembangkan kebiasaan menabung sejak dini memiliki manfaat jangka panjang yang besar bagi pembentukan pola pikir dan perilaku keuangan yang bijak. Melalui kegiatan sosialisasi ini, tim pelaksana berupaya untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa mengenai pentingnya menabung, mengajarkan mereka cara mengelola keuangan pribadi yang baik, serta mendorong terbentuknya kebiasaan menabung yang disiplin. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pemberian materi edukasi, permainan, serta penugasan yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Hasil yang diharapkan dari program ini adalah tumbuhnya kesadaran dan motivasi siswa untuk menabung, serta terbentuknya kebiasaan menabung yang berlanjut hingga masa dewasa. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui tes pemahaman, observasi perilaku, serta pengukuran jumlah siswa. Dampak jangka panjang yang diharapkan adalah peningkatan literasi keuangan dan kesejahteraan finansial siswa di masa depan

Abstract

The main focus of this study is to identify the income levels of MSMEs that depend on the variables of capital, business location, working hours, and entrepreneur education. The sample for this study consists of 20 MSMEs located on Jalan Garu II-A, Medan. This research uses a quantitative method with data collected directly from primary sources. The data collection technique employed by the researcher is through questionnaires. For data analysis, multiple linear regression is used and processed using IBM SPSS version 26. Based on the research output, it was found that capital (X1), business location (X2), and entrepreneur education (X4) have a significant impact on business income (Y), with their effective contributions to business income being 20.2 for capital (X1), 26.9 for business location (X2), and 17.9 for entrepreneur education (X4). Meanwhile, Working Hours (X3) does not have a significant impact on business income (Y), with an effective contribution of 7.0.

Abstract

  This study aims to analyze the forms of conversational implicature found in the digital comic Pupus Putus Sekolah by Kurnia Harta Winata. The comic was selected because it contains numerous dialogues that reflect everyday teenage interactions, making it relevant for analysis from a pragmatic perspective, particularly using Grice’s theory of conversational implicature. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis techniques. The data consists of dialogue excerpts between characters in the comic that contain implicit meanings. The analysis reveals that the conversational implicatures in the comic fall into two main categories: conventional implicatures and non-conventional (conversational) implicatures. The most dominant type of non-conventional implicature observed involves violations of the cooperative principle, particularly the maxims of quality and relevance. These findings suggest that digital comics can serve as effective media for conveying social messages through indirect communication strategies. Furthermore, this research contributes to the field of pragmatics, particularly in the context of visual literary works and digital communication.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the capacity of teachers at the Al-Marwa Private Elementary School (MIS) in creating interactive and engaging digital literacy learning media, namely digital picture story books. The background to this activity is the low level of student literacy and the continued dominance of conventional learning methods that have not optimally utilized digital technology. Through a participatory training approach, teachers are equipped with digital literacy knowledge and technical skills using applications such as Canva and Heyzine to create digital books. The implementation results show that teachers experienced an increased understanding of digital literacy and enthusiasm in developing new learning media. Evaluations from 11 participants showed a high level of satisfaction with the material, understanding of digital literacy, and readiness to implement the training results. This activity not only strengthens teachers' competency in integrating technology into learning but also encourages the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (IKU) and the spirit of Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) through collaboration between lecturers and students. It is hoped that this activity can be implemented sustainably, and the training model implemented has the potential to be replicated in other schools to support improving the quality of digital literacy-based education.
