Abstract

Dumai-Malacca international Ro-Ro port connection is a strategic plan of Indonesian government to increase the national logistics distribution mode, especially in Southeast Asia regional trading activities. PT. Pelindo I, as an SOE port operator, is the candidate who will get a delegation for the implementation of this strategic program for providing port facilities to meet the needs of international crossings. This study aims to assess and optimize the internal financial aspects of PT Pelindo I as the result of the project implementation. As the company with a capital intensive character, corporate action must be able to provide good returns and benefit with clearly mitigated risks. Results show port should provide at least on moderate threshold level of occupancy. The less occupied operation will lead to financial problem along the service life. Thus, the least reliable scenario used is scenario 2 with realistic occupation level of 61%, IDR-USD currency rate of IDR.14600, and inflation rate of 3.97%, along with the recommendation for implementing subscription register method between ports and customer. The ROA and ROE result 0,83% and 0,89% respectively, and will remain positive along with revenue generation. These are considered to be effective in producing good financial performance and guarantee long-term business sustainability, while it can also optimize the absorption of service use by commodity based industries that the product will be distributed in the Southeast Asia region.

Abstract

Jalan Kaharudin Nasution – Marpoyan has a length of 6.76 Km. This road has an important role in the process of moving human and goods traffic inside and outside the city of Pekanbaru. In maintaining the good condition of this road, goverment must do a road management program so that the road condition is always maintained. Knowing the current condition of the remaining structural life (RSL) of pavement can be used in preparing the types of road preservation works. This study uses data from the Riau Province National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) in the form of average daily traffic data (LHR) and deflection data. The results of the analysis showed that the condition of the Kaharudin Nasution-Marpoyan national road was 16.18% in good condition; 82.35% moderate condition; and 1.47% in a slightly damaged condition. While the road handling activities required are 41.17% of the length of the road requiring routine maintenance, and 58.82% of road segmen needs overlay.

Abstract

In organizing building construction especially in Pekanbaru, cost factor is a mainly considered factor due to its relation with the great number of investment for owner. Therefore, project`s cost needs to be well-managed in order to minimalize the possibility of overrun cost. The purpose of this research was to discover the rate of validation, and to analyze the most dominant factor which has triggered the overrun cost case on small categorized government building construction project in Pekanbaru. Data collection was thoroughly done by deploying questioners to small contractors in the city of Pekanbaru. The number of samples in this research was 14 respondents. The profile of those respondents were grouped according to their gender, age, position in occupation, experience, and education background. The collected data were analyzed by using validation and reliability test, factor analysis, classic assumption test, and multiple linear regression. The data processing was done by using SPSS software (Statistical Product and Service Solution) version 24. As a result, it was obtained that the most dominant factor which has triggered the overrun cost case on small categorized government building construction project in Pekanbaru consisted of: planning and construction department i.e. handling too many projects at the same time with the percentage of 92,0%, resource coordination department i.e. lack of labours with the percentage of 86%, control department i.e. payment delays with the percentage of 63,2%

Abstract

The advantage of using RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement) materials in road pavement has economic and environmental benefits. The RAP materials are used in the form of bitumen only, aggregates only, or both of them. This study proposes to determine the potential of RAP aggregate as a material for an SMA mixture. The variation of RAP aggregate in this study is based on function use, the nominal maximum aggregate size (NMAS), and minimum thickness of use from the results of the RAP aggregate test. The method in the manufacture and testing of specimens using the Marshall method. From the results of the testing and analysis of the RAP aggregate, the variations in RAP aggregate used in this study were 0%, 33%, and 47%. The results of the marshall test on the SMA mixture, the optimum bitumen content (OBC) of the RAP 0% was 6.23%, and the RAP 33% was 6.1%, while the RAP 47% OBC could not be determined because it did not fulfill standard requirements of the Marshall based on the value of VMA and VITM. From these results, the potential use of RAP aggregate for SMA mixtures is 33%. This value is the percentage of the RAP aggregate potential in the SMA mixture that fulfills the standard requirements of the Marshall and testing aggregate.

Abstract

A numerical model of signalized intersection performance analysis based on the Highway Capacity Manual of Indonesian 1997 (MKJI 1997) is required to calculate the performance of signalized intersections in the effective and efficient manner. The modeling is formed by algorithmising the process of calculating the performance of signalized intersections based on MKJI 1997. The issue that affects the making of this model is the difference in the results of calculating the performance of the intersection using the KAJI application with manual calculations. This is caused by differences in each parameter which results in significant differences in results. Methods used to create a signalized intersection performance analysis program are validating three cases in MKJI 1997 and simulating two cases of previous research. The results of the validation of the numerical model that has been made against the three cases of MKJI 1997 obtained a delay value with an average percentage error of 1.26%. While the simulation results of two previous research cases obtained a delay value with an average percentage error of 2.74%. These results show that the average percentage error obtained is <10%, so the results of calculations using the program are categorized as very good.

Abstract

[ID] Studi kasus pada penelitian ini diadopsi pada sebuah perusahaan multinasional yang bergerak dalam operasi hulu pengeboran minyak dan gas di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendistribusikan beban dari berbagai fasilitas yang ada pada area pengeboran melalui simulasi optimalisasi mobilisasi Concrete Slab (CS). CS diperlukan dalam operasi pekerjaan persiapan lokasi pengeboran. Kemudian, Pendekatan Simulasi dilakukan menggunakan metode pemrograman linier terhadap kondisi batas antara lain peralatan, durasi, dan jarak melalui fungsi tujuan adalah untuk menekan biaya operasional selama kurun waktu 1 tahun operasi terhadap operasi eksisting pada tahun sebelumnya. Hasilnya ditemukan bahwa terdapat potensial reduksi biaya sebesar 31.36% melalui optimalisasi pada rute operasi. Disarankan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk menentukan total faktur tahunan yang optimal dengan multi variable dalam memobilisasi material, pelat beton (concrete slab), dari satu lokasi ke lokasi lainnya. [EN] The case study in this study was adopted by a multinational company engaged in upstream oil and gas drilling operations in Indonesia. This study aims to distribute material from various existing facilities in the drilling area through a simulation of optimization of Concrete Slab (CS) mobilization. CS is required in the operation of drilling site preparation work. Then, the simulation approach is carried out using a linear programming method for boundary conditions including equipment, duration, and distance through the objective function is to reduce operational costs for a period of 1 year of operation against existing operations in the previous year.
