Abstract

STUDI LAJU EVAPORASI PADA DIRECT EVAPORATIVE COOLING BERBAHAN PAD JERAMI PADI DAN TAPIS KELAPA. Penggunaan sistim pendingin yang berbasis kompresor telah terbukti dapat menyebabkan peningkatan penggunaan energi bahan bakar fosil, dan juga dapat meningkatkan kerusakan lingkungan. Sistim pendingin evaporative banyak dikembangkan sebagai sistim pendingin alternative pengganti sistim pendingin berbasis kompresor. Dalam penelitian direct evaporative cooling ini akan dipelajari laju evaporasi yang terjadi pada cooling pad yang berbahan jerami padi dan tapis kelapa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tiga variasi kecepatan putar fan 1440, 1470 dan 1500 rpm, dengan dua material pad yang berbeda jerami padi dan tapis kelapa, dan dengan waktu pengujian selama 60 menit dengan pencatatan data setiap selang 15 menit. Dari penelitian ditemukan bahwa laju evaporasi tertinggi terjadi pada kecepatan putar rendah 1440 rpm sebesar 0.00157 liter/menit dan 0.00293 liter/menit masing-masing untuk jerami padi dan tapis kelapa. Sebagai kesimpulan dapat dinyatakan bahwa tapis kelapa menghasilkan laju evaporasi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan jerami padi pada kecepatan putar rendah yang sama.

Abstract

The East Seraya village is a village that has some potential to be developed. The economic potential of the village comes from the marine products and the creative industries of weaving and craftsmen of ate. The natural beauty of the village while the potential to be developed as a tourist attraction/ tour support, which is supported by the position of Seraya village located at the tip and the tourist track Amed travel. Weaving craftsmen gathered in a group that named is " KARYA SARI WARNA ALAMI ". The motive of weaving and coloring system has distinctive features. Coloring materials derived from the leaves and plants that live in the village of Seraya. The potential development of handicrafts and weaving ate very potential to be developed, because the Seraya Village is a tourist track between Ujung and Amed vilages. KKN PPM programme is developing programs to empower creative industries and training program based on rural potentia, Applications dryers systems production quality. The purpose of aplication dryer machine system in weaving craft group and ate is to improve the quality of production. Educational and vocational training aimed to youth groups, farm groups, fishing groups. Community socials empowerment programs to enhance the creative economy is going to go well if it gets assistance by the college. College as a facilitator in the implementation of education and training, and memotivor community in order to improve people's lives.

Abstract

Kemampuan kelompok nelayan tradisional di bidang kemampuan teknologi pengolahan ikan masih sangat rendah. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan dan terbatasnya sarana-prasarana yang mendukung. Sehingga berdampak pada pendapatan nelayan menjadi tidak maksimal. Teknologi pengolahan ikan merupakan suatu metode untuk menjaga kondisi ikan agar bisa bertahan lama dan tidak mudah rusak. Dari beberapa teknologi yang ada, pada pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemberdayaan masyarakat nelayan tentang proses pengawetan ikan dengan menggunakan mesin pendingin. Mitra pengabdian yang dipilih adalah kelompok nelayan Amertha Segara yang berlokasi di Desa Bugbug, Kabupaten Karangasem. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat meliputi melakukan survey awal, melakukan evaluasi kemampuan masyarakat sebelum pelatihan, memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan pengawetan ikan menggunakan mesin pendingin, mengevaluasi pehaman masyarakat pasca pelatihan dan memberikan bimbingan teknis tentang pengoperasian dan perwatan mesin pendingin. Dari hasil yang diperoleh pada awalnya kemampuan masrakat nelayan tentang mekanisme pengawetan ikan menggunakan mesin pendingin masih sangat rendah, setelah adanya penyuluhan dan pelatihan pemahaman masyarakat menjadi meningkat, masyarakat mengikuti penyuluhan dan pelatihan sampai akhir dengan semangat.

Abstract

The region of Melinggih in the sub district of Payangan, located at Gianyar regency in the province of Bali is supporting area for the tourist destination of Ubud and Sukawati. In this area, there are residing talented artist of fine arts, sculptor, dance and so called artist for ogoh-ogoh . Ogoh-ogoh is a local name for a created figure which will be carried together by group of peoples in celebration of Balinese new years. The creation method of ogoh-ogoh improve from time to time which is the important things is to obtain the good result and light to carry on. Recently the ogoh-ogoh is created by using styrofoam shaped by using knife. The price of styrofoam are expensive, easily broken, and easily burn therefore the ogoh-ogoh maker then explore how to make ogoh-ogoh by using pulp from paper or used newspaper. To support this challenge, the activity of training in making pulp from waste paper or used newspaper was conductedKeywords: Pulp, paper, ogoh-ogoh and training.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Electroplating is a metal or non-metal coating process with electrolyze that use direct current (DC) and electrolyte (chemical solution) that has a function as medium to supply metal ions. The function of electroplating are protecting metal from corrotion attack, adding surface hardness and improving quality of metal surface. Electroplating process basically has four steps; cleaning, washing, coating and protecting. For a quality result, the coating process need a right and optimum condition of operation, such as, a right concentration of electrolyte, a right voltage or current, and a right temperature.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago that is known as a maritime nation. Indonesia is rich in marine resources of fishery subsector. The majority of Indonesia's population are their livelihood as fishermen, especially in coastal areas. Bugbug village located in East Bali which is a coastal area that some community livelihood as fishermen. There are more than four groups of fishermen in this village, one of which is a fishermen group of Amerta Segara. The education level of their members are from elementary, middle and high school are dominated by primary school education. The number of members amounted to 25 persons. The encountered often problems on the fishermen is the fish handling a problem. When the harvest that the fish marketing become not good, the price is very cheap and fishermen's income decreases or not the maximum. Lack of knowledge about the fish processing cause fishermen's group is overwhelmed and being resigned on the situation. Seeing this condition, with our dedicated of team doing technical guidance on the fish processing technology to fishermen group of Amerta Segara on the Bugbug village, Karangasem District, Bali Province. The method is used the counseling and evaluation before and after counseling. The results obtained, that the community of the fishing groups of Amerta Segara very seriosly to listen the counseling and an increase in knowledge or understanding on the technologies presented.

Abstract

Production process of boiled [of] sea fish still uses the traditional technology ( boiled with the opened vessel).The business of boiled fish in Kusamba increases quite a lot although it is still traditionally applied. It is the consequence required by effort of development of design system of boiled with the pressure vessel system. System of boiled with the pressure vessel to yield the thrift energy of equal to 25 % compared to by application of boiled standard for the capacities of same and poaching temperature increase to 30? C. The application of boiled with pressure vessel compared to the opened vessel was more effective.

Abstract

Comfort and coolness when traveling by vehicle especially car is highly needed. So many attempts have been made byhumans that comfortable traveling by car can be achieved. One of the effective ways in which comfortable traveling by car can beobtained is by installing air conditioning. The performance of air conditioning system is highly influenced by how the compressorworks. In other words, the pressure resulting from the suction highly determines the performance of air conditioning system,which then affects how the compressor works, the compressor power, the refrigeration effect, the efficiency of isentropic andcoefficient of performance (COP) of the car air conditioning sytem especially that of the car air conditioner type ET 450. Fromwhat has been described above, the writer would like to conduct a research entiled “ Analysis of the Performance of the Car AirConditioning system Type ET 450 with Variation of the Compressor Pressure”.The test was conducted on the car air conditioner type ET 450 with variations of suction 2.8 bar, 3 bar, 3.2 bar, 3.4bar, 3.6 bar and 3.8 bar. The data were obtained from the pressure of compressor output (P2), the temperatures in each point areT1, T2, T3, T4, the compressor rotationn is n, the strength of electrical current is I, and the volumetric flow rate. The data werethen processed and analyzed so that so that the performance of each variation of the suction could be actually and theoreticallyobtained.The findings show that the bigger the suction, the bigger the performance of the car air conditioner type ET 450 wouldbe. The theoretical coefficient of performance (COP) produced was bigger than the actual COP. The optimal COP took placewhen the suction was 441.325 kPa, the actual COP was 3.513177 and the theoretical COP was 3.632062

Abstract

Pada umumnya AC Window digunakan untuk mengkondisikan udara ruangan agar berada pada kondisi udara yang diinginkan.Panas pada kondensor dapat dimanfaatkan untuk fungsi yang lain sehingga tidak ada panas yang terbuang percuma.Memodifikasi AC Window dengan penambahan tabung pemanas air bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan panas yang akan dibuangkondensor menuju lingkungan untuk memanaskan air.Tabung Pemanas dipasang pada Penelitian dilakukan dengan melihat pengaruh penambahan suatu tabung pemanas air terhadapCOP (Coefficient of Performance), laju pendinginan ruangan, serta laju pemanasan air dalam tabung pada AC Window.Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, didapat hasil bahwa COP AC Window dengan penambahan tabung pemanas mengalamipenurunan sebesar 0,3369 kJ/s, serta penurunan pada laju pendinginan ruangan sebesar 0,002 kJ/s. sedangkan untuk lajupemanasan air pada tabung didapatkan sebesar 0,0688 kJ/s

Abstract

Pengeringan dengan tujuan pengawetan pada industri pangan dilakukan dengan cara konvensional seperti menjemur dan sistem oven. Metode pengawetan lainnya dapat dilakukan dengan dehumidifier. Proses dehumidifikasi dapat menggunakan sistem refrigerasi. Pengeringan dengan dehumidifier ini dapat dilakukan dengan pengamatan pada laju pengeringan pada material uji jamur, kemudian hasilnya akan dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem pengeringan dengan dehumidifier lebih baik dari pada sistem konvensional dimana didapat kadar air cukup rendah dan kualitas tekstur tetap segar.
