Abstract

Negative perception about business people as the profit pursuer is, at one side, normal, but at the other side, becoming a concern of business people themselves to prevent such perception increases as stigma that business people think that “the end justify the means”, or in other words, in order to gain the profit, the business people could take any means deemed necessaary regardless the ethics and/or moral considerations. In order to avoid such negative perception, this paper offers a concept named multidimensional entrepreneurship. It is expected that such concept, if implemented thoroughly, not only minimise negative views, but also provide plenty of plus values toward business world, and eventually, many useful things for the societies and human beings. The aspects or dimensions offered to be considered are consisiting of : socio-cultural aspect, politic-economy (ideological) aspect, East-management aspect, science & technology aspect, business-law aspect, and spiritual aspect. The explanation of each aspect or dimension, including the values and the views brought by each of them will be further elaborated in following paper.

Abstract

This paper objective is to examine the ideas related to the importance of designing and enforcing legal principles and rules that based on the values that live and applied in society, especially in the field of business law. Business Law includes, among others, company law, commercial law, investment law, civil law, intellectual property law, capital market law, banking law, consumer protection law, anti-monopoly law, and others. Some of the contents of the current provisions of business law in Indonesia are based on values that are not native to Indonesia. With the recent trend of free trade which tends to be based on capitalistic and neo-liberalistic thinking, the tendency to adopt uniform values from global relations also seems to be increasing. This paper aims to find out the importance of local / regional socio-cultural values originating from Indonesia as a source of content and regulation of business law in Indonesia. The approach method in this research is a normative legal research method with a qualitative research approach. This research comes to the conclusion that based on literature research on legal ideas, it is necessary to have an inventory of the values of original Indonesian legal principles related to the design and application of legal principles and principles that take into account the living and applied values in society, and that the original local / regional sociocultural values of Indonesia should be optimized as the source of the content and regulation of business law in Indonesia.

Abstract

Managerial and leadership skills possessed by a leader are needed in processing human resources in optimizing employee performance, because employees are one of the important assets to realize the organization's vision and mission. In this paper, the writer tries to find a gap or mismatch between expectations and reality (Das Solen Das Sein) between leadership style and facts on the ground, using The Trans Resort Hotel, Kuta, as the locus of the whole discussion. This paper will discuss descriptively the hotel’s leadership style, its employees’ professionalism and work ethics, and their effects on productivity of the hotel. Data collection methods were done through observation, interviews, and documentation, while the analysis technique used include the classic assumption test, multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that leadership, professionalism, and work ethic have a positive and significant effect in influencing the level of work productivity of employees who work in The Trans Hotel Kuta, Bali.

Abstract

Seni Perang Sun Tzu merupakan karya militer klasik tertua dalam literatur Cina yang paling terkenal di luar Cina (yang ditulis antara 400 – 300 SM). Teks tersebut menjadi teks wajib di sekolah militer di seluruh dunia. Sementara itu, terdapat pula kecenderungan pemikiran bahwa strategi perang / militer dapat diterapkan dalam strategi manajemen bisnis atau pemasaran. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam tulisan ini adalah apakah dan bagaimanakah ilmu perang Sun Tzu tentang strategi operasi dapat dikaitkan / diterapkan dalam manajemen bisnis. Serta bagaimana merumuskan pandangan-pandangan Sun Tzu termaksud dalam bahasa manajemen bisnis. Metode pembahasan tulisan ini adalah mendasarkan diri pada bahan-bahan kepustakaan mengenai Seni Perang Sun Tzu, khususnya dalam konteks pembahasannya dengan manajemen bisnis atau pemasaran, dan buku manajemen lainnya yang relevan. Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik dari pembahasan ini adalah bahwa ilmu perang Sun Tzu adalah dapat diterapkan dalam ilmu manajemen bisnis, dan penerapan tersebut tentunya harus berangkat dari pandangan bahwa terdapat kesamaan cukup signifikan antara medan perang/pertempuran dengan dunia bisnis. Dengan demikian, strategi perang Sun Tzu yang tersohor itu pun dapat diterapkan dalam strategi manajemen bisnis. Kesimpulan selanjutnya, bahwa konsep awal yang masih berupa konsep untuk medan perang tersebut perlu dirumuskan kembali sedemikian sehingga lebih mudah dipahami dan diimplementasikan dalam konteks manajemen bisnis, antara lain strategi operasi (Sun Tzu) dapat dirumuskan dalam satu konsep : “Kecepatan”, dan dapat dielaborasi lebih lanjut menjadi tiga konsep singkat yaitu : Penjadwalan, Momentum, dan Durasi.

Abstract

This research aims is knowing, identifying, and inventing the issues shouldbe recognized by business actors in implementing their marketing activities, mainlyin relation with the Indonesian prevailing regulations regarding Anti Monopoly.This is a qualitative research. As many times stated by literatures on the researchmethodology, it is necessary to be restated here that Qualitative Research is theresearch that endeavoring to find the core or essential meanings or ideas that laidbehind a social action or phenomenon.What is meant as phenomenon in this contextis the values laid behind or basing the stipulation of Indonesian Anti MonopolyLaw. This research has come to conclusions as follows : That the issues should beconcerned and obeyed by the business actors in performing or implementing the marketing of goods and/or services are understanding and preventing from breaching the regulations contained in The Law on Anti Monopoly, which include, amongothers : oligopoly, price fixing, region division, boycott, kartel, trust, oligopsony,vertical integration, closed agreement, agreement with foreign parties, monopoly,monopsony, market controlling, and conspiracy. This research also provides somerecoomendations that could be used by the Business Actors to prevent them from legalproblems caused by marketing activities that break the Indonesian Anti MonopolyLaws.

Abstract

Agrotourism is an activity related to tourism activities which is also a lesson for tourists to get to know more about the production process in the agricultural sector and make the agricultural area a place to enjoy agricultural products directly. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of service quality and promotion on customer satisfaction at the Bali Foundation's Ethno Bees Agrotourism. The types of data used in this study are qualitative data and quantitative data, with data sources namely primary data and secondary data. Methods of collecting data by means of observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between service quality and promotion on customer satisfaction, which means that the higher the service and promotion quality, the higher the customer satisfaction. In this case, every improvement in service quality and promotion will increase customer satisfaction. In addition, there is a positive and significant influence between service quality and promotion simultaneously on customer satisfaction at the Bali Foundation's Ethno Bee Agrotourism in Baha Mengwi Village.

Abstract

Bali as one of the tourist destinations in Indonesia that is able to attract many domestic tourists or foreign tourists have developed many forms of facilities and infrastructure. One of them is the needs of tourists about information or booking tour packages that can be accessed easily.The purpose of this research is to know the marketing strategy in order to increase the arrival of Australian tourists at PT Jan’s Tours & Travel Service in marketing and selling the product to the consumer as well as supporting factors and inhibiting the increase of tourist arrivals. This research method through data collecting technique by observation, in-depth interview (interview) and documentation with qualitative descriptive technique. Result of this study is with the implementation of the 7P strategy able to increase the level of visits of foreign tourists, especially those from Australia

Abstract

This study aims to find out which provisions in Law Number 22 of 2019 concerning Agricultural Cultivation Systems were amended by the "Job Creation Law" (Law Number 11 of 2020). This research also aims to find out and understand the rationale and intent underlying the changes made by the Job Creation Law to Law Number 22 of 2019 concerning the Agricultural Cultivation System (hereinafter simply referred to as the Agricultural Cultivation System Law). This research further attempts to estimate predictions related to the implications of these changes by understanding the contents of the new provisions and comparing them with the contents of the amended provisions. This research data collection method is a research method / literature study, especially on primary legal materials, namely laws and regulations. The type of approach and analysis method used in this research is a qualitative approach. The definition of research with a qualitative approach is research that focuses attention on the ideas or values that underlie an act or action of the actor or an event that is related or arises or which is a consequence or result / product of the act / action. The conclusions of this study are: 1. The articles of Law Number 22 of 2019 concerning the Sustainable Agricultural Cultivation System as amended through the Job Creation Act (especially Article 31 of the Job Creation Law) are: Article 19, Article 22, Article 32, Article 43, Article 86, Article 102, and Article 108 of the Law on Sustainable Agricultural Cultivation Systems (Law Number 22 of 2019), as well as the abolition of Article 111 of Law Number 22 of 1999 concerning Sustainable Agricultural Cultivation Systems. 2. The rationale for the amendment of several laws, judging from the comparison between the old provisions and the new provisions of the amended article (comparison between the sound of the articles before and after the amendment), is the idea of providing a legal basis for the Central Government and/or Regional Governments to adopt certain policies or take certain actions related to Agriculture in order to increase Indonesia's attractiveness for investment, business and industry. 3. Things that are expected to occur after the enactment of the Job Creation Act which changes quite a number of laws to increase the attractiveness of Indonesia's investment, is the higher investor confidence and the sense of security of investors to invest in Indonesia, which in turn is expected to increase as well. the value and volume of investment from investors / business people, both from within the country and abroad.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction for staying guests is very important in the hotel accommodation business. Every hotel is required to be able to guarantee customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction is influenced by many factors including facilities and service quality. This study aims to determine the effect of facilities and service quality partially and simultaneously on customer satisfaction. The research population is Grand Livio Hotel Bali customers and the research sample is 100. The data analysis techniques used are Validity Test, Reliability Test, Classical Assumption Test, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, F Test, t Test and Coefficient of Determination Test. The results showed that facilities had a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction, service quality had a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction and simultaneously facilities and service quality had a significant effect on customer satisfaction. The magnitude of the influence of the variable facilities and service quality on customer satisfaction is 51.3%. Suggestions that can be given by researchers are that the Grand Livio Hotel should add hotel facilities that are still lacking, provide training to employees and provide facilities that suit consumer needs.
